I keep seeing these big chalkboards on Pinterest that I love, so I broke down and made one for my front porch today! (Well, DH built the frame...I made the trip to Home Depot to get the board, painted & decorated it!) Attachments:

We don't do autumn decoration is the UK - at least I've never seen any. I wonder what my neighbours would think if I made something like that? So do you do 'decor' for Spring and Summer? I'm curious why autumn? ETA - your project looks great - I didn't mean to say my neighbours would think it wasn't, it would just probably be a first and they'd wonder why I had pumpkins on my porch  |

Very nice! You did such a great job on the graphics, too! Chalk is not easy to work with. I love your lettering styles and the pumpkin drawings.
It's interesting to know that they don't decorate for fall in the UK. Lots of people in my neighborhood have fall and Halloween decorations and wreaths on their porch already. My front door has a lighted leaf garland that will stay up until I change it out for Christmas garland. I decorate for the seasons and various holidays year round.
The chalkboard will be fun to change for each holiday.
