Yesterday afternoon, my BFF and I got in the car and headed to Ikea. I got the Alex drawer units and Raskog cart. So excited! You all know what I will be doing today. For for those that have these items to store your scrapbooking things, mind telling how you have them organized? I appreciate it!

Cool! I love visiting IKEA, great place for decorating inspiration. I also have a Raskog cart, the grey one. On the bottom I have a 31 tote filled with my WRMK punch boards, a shallow but large artbin type clear holder for all my loose glitter tubes, and a Cuttlebug. The middle shelf holds an old fabric Amy Butler tote with all my PL cards. It has an IKEA plastic divider in the tote that was too large at first so I took shears to it and just cut off the end section I didn't want/didn't fit. And on the top shelf I keep a taller 31 utility tote that I remove and take to crops. In it I keep layout kits, all my brads, a cutting mat, and some of my TT larger Ali E stamps sets. I like to crop away from home, so my shelves are full but everything is in totes so I can grab it and go. Have fun setting it all up!

I make use of the fact that it's metal and got some of those magnetic spice holders last time I went to Ikea. I can keep random embellishments in there and stick them on the outside of the Raskog so I remember to use them (sometimes).

I really want that cart. I just wanted to see how much shipping was. It was only $19 on it . Maybe a thought for later. Enjoy your stuff.

I am in the process of redoing my room. It's a large room so half of it is becoming an extra guest room for when my niece visits with her parents. So I wanted everything clean and to have out of sight storage. I got 4 of the Alex pieces and love them. They are along the wall behind my desk. For that many drawers and because I didn't want to use labels, I made a key that hangs by my desk with a line for each drawer and what it holds. They really DO hold a lot! Enjoy!

That's awesome! I have a RASKOG and love it! So handy. I'm considering buying some ALEX units for my room, they look like almost the perfect storage piece.

I just got there too, last Thursday on my birthday. We are doing the family room over. We are putting a wall and part of it will be my scrap room. I am getting the Kallax. I am so excited. I really haven't had my albums out on the open because there isn't a place for them. My paper collection is large and I have them on paper holders on top of a shelf in the closet. I will have 3 shelves mounted low on the wall (12 boxes) and 2 over on either side (8 boxes). Our plan is to do it over Thanksgiving.
ETA I have jet max cubes and a long counter my husband installed years ago. I have a walk in closet where everything is stored. Everything in the closet is coming out in the open so I can have easy access to it. I have spent this morning planning exactly how I want everything stored in the cubes.

I have a raskog and I have embellishments sorted into small containers on the top, the middle holds 6x6 paper pads, smaller sized page protectors, and two flower pots with pencils, markers, etc. in them. On the bottom I have two containers full of my "messier" items - mists, paints, gesso, etc. It's working well for me so far, and I love that it can just be rolled away when not in use, or if it's just plain in the way! My other Ikea item that I'm currently loving is the magnetic knife holder - I bought two - one to use as a key rack (fiancee was whining over never being able to find his keys - fixed that problem!), and the other I've put in my office to hold all my small dies - works like a charm

I have wanted to buy that cart for such a long time, but I have no room for it. I may pick it up for my 11 year old daughter for her art supplies though! It's so darn cute and it would be great for rolling in and out of her closet.

I have 2. My scrappy one has all my "tools" on the top shelf with wood dividers I got at J's. My ATG fits in between the two wood dividers with room for a small plastic bin from the $ store. The middle holds all my small bits of embellies in asst. spice jars and tins. Third shelf has more of the wood dividers from J with all my PL cards.
The second cart is in my pantry closet. Onions on the top, potatoes in the middle and extra jars/ bottles of oils, etc on the bottom. I love the Raskogs and how easily they roll where you need them or roll to get them out of the way!!!

I've held off because I didn't like the colors. They finally came out with a cream a color I can live with- plan to get one soon!

Patter is an organizing genius! I know she checks in here, so perhaps she'll make an appearance on this thread....
And, check YouTube. There are more than 5,000 videos on "Raskog Organization," many of them Project Life, but not all. That should keep you busy for quite some time. Have fun setting up your new cart.

Over the last couple of days I've been sorting through and putting things away in these units. Can't believe how much I can get in them! Plus they seem very sturdy and I like that they are in casters and I can roll them to other parts of the room. Great investment!

Glad you like the Alex! I adore mine (yes, the rolling part adds to the usability!) If a sewing machine fits on a raskog, I'm going to have to get one of those too!
