I purchased some sketch pens and would like to use them for drawing images or titles. Do I need to have sketch files or can I use the normal files I already have? I'm still finding my way around the new Silhouette format and thought maybe there is something I need to click on to change cut to sketch?
Hope this makes sense! Thanks Corinne

I have seen something in the software to click to turn it to pen, but I have not tried it myself, although I do have the pens. I would search Youtube and check out a video on how to do it.

You can use any files. I sometimes use the sketch pens to do letters for a title. When you go to the cut settings just select sketch pens. From my personal experience I also suggest scribbling with the pen on some scratch paper to get the ink going. I've noticed that some need that to get a nice clean image.

Do you have the Designer Edition? I haven't used Sketch much, but the DE has the better tools for using Sketch.

Thank you. No I don't have the Designer edition, I only ever use designs from the Silhouette store so I'm not sure if I need it. I have looked up a few youtube videos and think I have worked it out. I am going to give it a try today- wish me luck! Corinne

You can use any file - just change the setting to the sketch pen. I have some of the Silhouette pens and they are not my favorite. I like a thicker line. I purchased the new pen/marker holder but haven't taken the time to play with it yet.
