Welcome to 2019. I always have good intentions of using stuff up at the start of the year so let's start with a choose your own supply challenge. Simply select one (or more!) supplies you'd like to use more of this year and try to use it on every page you make this month. Note, full 12x12 sheets of paper don't count (but scraps and smaller sized paper pads do) unless you aim to include 3 or more on each page. The supply you choose can be as narrow or as broad as you like. Need some ideas? * recent purchases * interchangeable supplies eg enamel dots/brads/nuvos, or border stickers/border strips/washi * a colour (perfect for those that store and select by colour rather than type) * a specific collection or manufacturer * a tool You can earn 1 point for every page you complete using your nominated item/s towards the January team challenges. All types of projects count (paper, digi, hybrid, PL, art journaling, anything else you create) and if you share your projects online please link them here so we can admire and leave some love. You can find instructions to post in the Refupeas gallery in this thread but shout out if you need help.

Anyone remember the old PBS Crop in Style black & purple zippered 3-ring binders used to tote your embellishments to crops? Well I have a number of them (OK - if we are counting, there are at least 12 of them, maybe more) in my closet. They are jam packed full of old, but nifty embellishments - all sorted by theme. Yea. I don't regularly get them out unless I'm looking for that one specific embellie that I've remembered that I have. My supply challenge for this month is go get them out and use them, hopefully on each and every page I scrap this month! Let me know if you need to see pics! LOL

I love this challenge.
It would be too easy to just choose some Christmas item, as I will be scrapping a lot of Christmas this month, and traditionally stuff my whole Christmas stash into its corner by the end of the month. If I WERE going to choose Christmas supplies, it would be diecuts, I think. I love them; buy them; hardly use them.
But I think for January I will choose... BUTTONS! Off to dig out that little bin!

I'm going to choose PL type cards. I believe I have about 6 million in my stash that need used up. Well maybe not 6 million but close

Here is my first page for the year: my January page for NEXT year's family calendar. Managed to get 3 buttons on it. Only 999.997 to go... January '20 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I will be sharing this and the rest of my button pages in the Team sharing thread, but thought I would celebrate my first one here too.

I am going to choose stickers. I buy them and never use them. I have a huge box full that I hope to make a dent in.

Here is my second page for the month, and so far I am on track, as I managed to find some snowflake buttons in my Christmas trove! I will share it here now, and in the team share thread when I am ready to start adding up points. December '20 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

great layouts grammadeeI'm choosing brads and eyelets as my supply for the month (I store them together and use fairly interchangeably so in my mind, they are more one supply)

I chose to use some of the stickers from paper collections that never seem to get used. Wrapping Paper
Thanks, Chinagirl828. This is a great challenge. I will make a dent in my stickers.

I am going to go with anything I die cut either with my Big Shot or my Silhouette. I need to get my money’s worth out of the big ticket items!

I've finally decided I'm going with pink/red embellishments. I have a container that is a mix of stickers, die cuts, left over bits of chipboard, etc. I need to use some of these so they'll fit back in the container properly so my aim is to get something from this container onto every page I make.

Love this challenge. What a great idea. I have chosen to use items from this little box of punches and diecut negative pieces etc... This is a tiny little box- ,maybe 2.5 inches square. I put left over items, punches I randomly punch from small scraps of paper I love etc in here. Then I forget to use them. I am keeping it out on my desk this month to use.

I have been thinking about this all week and this morning I had an idea to empty all my stickers into one big box and pull out some for each layout until I found something that would make a cluster. So I'm going to try to make a cluster on every layout this month. ( and get rid of some stickers)
Yesterday I made a cluster that I really liked by just picking up some random sticker sheets and using the little leftovers. When I started looking for all the random places I had stickers, I also decided to rearrange some of my storage.
I found a lot of stuff I forgot I had and I think I made more room on my desk. I still need to label all these drawers!

It sounds like you are having fun playing, @elaynef, and when you also love the results, that is wonderful! Love your "random sticker" cluster. And if you are into adding up points, that qualifies for THIs challenge, plus the sticker challenge plus the cluster challenge. Gotta love THAT!
I have a couple of Christmas tubs on my scrap counter, plus I have dug my button box out from the bottom of a drawer. Must stay focussed and remember to slap a few of those buttons on each LO.

I’ve chosen 2 different things - unused/new kits or premade words (labels and such). I’ve made an effort with each page I’ve done this month.

Update : after 2 days of this experiment, I was not finding much to use and had an enormous mess and didn't know what to do. I pulled the garbage over next to me and before I knew it, I was putting stickers in the garbage. I have 90% fewer now and feel very happy. Marie Kondo is right! Some of them were 20 years old. Some were given to me. Most I have been wasting time looking through, searching for something to use for years.

I'm glad this challenge prompted you to start looking at your stickers differently and I hope the stash clean out helps you use the ones you have.
It's funny because Thursday night I decided to pull all my die cut flowers out with the idea that I'd put them into one container since I figure that will help me use them up. Turns out I really needed to do that because I apparently own 11 gazillion floral pieces. So since I haven't started making any pages yet I'm changing my supply for this month to floral die cuts/stickers/chipboard (basically those 11 gazillion pieces I just pulled out). I apparently also need to work on using tags based on how many I found so I'm adding that as well.

I am posting this layout over all the challenge threads today, but anyway. I'm really pleased I managed to use 13 floral pieces here. I hadn't used any from this pack before this layout and now I've used all the gold foiled ones and about half of those cardstock ones.

I think your challenge is helping a lot of us do some different things with our layouts.

Not many stickers used on this, but I found a use. I need to get all my stickers together like @elaynef did. I'm sure I'd use them more or purge them. Flute
