I loved the books and have been excited for the TV series.
Have any UK peas watched it since it already aired there?
It will be available in the US on January 17th to stream through Shudder or Sundance Now. Bummed it won't be on cable and I'll have to pay for streaming.
Does anyone know if when series go on those services if they release all the episodes at once? If so I can just do the free trail and binge it.

I'm going to get Sundance for the amount of time the series is on. I'm not sure if they'll release it all at once or keep it weekly episodes like Starz and Hulu.

Why in the world would they carry it on such obscure stations?? That's disappointing. I most likely won't watch due to this. Unless it's released somewhere else later.

I think we are up to about episode 8 here in Australia. To be honest with you it is pretty shitty acting and effects. I wouldn’t be racing to watch it.

That is too bad. I was not happy with the casting for Diana and Matthew. They look noting like described and imagined from the books.

I enjoyed it as a light non brain taxing tv show. But then I have never read the books, so didn't have any preconceived expectations.

I watched the sneak peek - did a free trial of Sundance through Amazon Prime. There were only two episodes and the sneak peek ended 12-31-18 -- so I watched and immediately canceled Sundance. I love the series -- I've read all 3 of the original books more than twice each, I've listened to the audio books several times, I've done a local author event when Harkness was here in town, I've read Time's Convert a couple of times. I wasn't enthralled with the two episodes -- sadly. I'm still trying to decide if it was my expectations that created the ennui ... or the performances ... or just what.

I watched it over MLK weekend. I agree that the acting was just meh. I read the first book a few years ago and never made it through the second one, so this probably wasnt going to be my favorite show anyway.

At least, I think so. There were 8 episodes.

I watched the first episode. It was ok but didn't really draw me in. I enjoyed the books which is the only reason I'll give it a few more episodes.

Ive liked it. I'm on episode 6 - definitely not Emmy material - but it was something fun to binge, that I could multitask while watching.
I watched it on AMC Premiere. I got it on that cause I could see getting more use of out the other AMC offerings than Shudder or Sundance.

I got sundance now for 1 wk free. I plan on watching it, then cancelling it. I don't think it's THAT bad. The acting's not that bad you guys! ha. So far I'm liking it, for all the bad reviews on here.

I’m almost done with the first episode. It’s not horrible, but it’s just not right. I feel like when they take a book series and do a tv series instead of a movie series they just mess it up. The vibe isn’t right and Matthew is soooo not right.
