Wow, I have to say that I was epically bummed that they made The Passage into a tv show rather than a movie. And then to have it on Fox instead of a premium channel...ugh. I have a feeling that it's going to be a huge disaster and not true to the book/trilogy at all

I liked the book. I can’t imagine a network show will be any good.
This would’ve been a great HBO series. They would have done it right.

Did not know this was a book. I have a reminder to watch it in my phone. Off to goodreads for some research...

I only have about 25% left to read in the last book of the trilogy right now! I had no idea the books were being made into a tv show. Interesting! I will have to remember to check it out once it makes its way to Hulu or Netflix (eventually, hopefully!).
Thanks for the heads up!

I was excited about the previews until I realized it was on regular TV. Should have been a premium channel/streaming series.

I really liked the book series. Im in agreement it should have been on one of the channels that allows for more latitude in content, due to subject matter. :/
Although The Strain on FX was pretty reasonably well done.

I am currently watching Episode 2 while I'm browsing.
I am pleasantly surprised! It's very good - the little girl playing Amy is great and my old Saved By the Bell crush is very endearing as Brad Wolgast. I'm not disappointed at all.
I'm noticing some differences - although it has to have been 10 years (?not sure) since I read the first book. For instance, Babcock is a woman in the series- I thought that character was a man in the books. Again, it's just been too long so the details are fuzzy.
Give it a try, I am enjoying it enough that I came looking to see if there was a thread on it yet!

I wish it was on another night. I think I'm already recording too many other shows at that time. It looks good.
