Hi everyone, welcome to the first Sketchy Saturday of 2019!! This is the sketch I have chosen. It is actually a digital template by Lynn Grieveson. One of the things I love about digital scrapping is that I can turn templates into sketches, and also turn any traditional scrapbooking sketch that I see and like into a template for me to use over and over again. And this is my layout using the template: Template: 'Wonderful You' by Lynn Grieveson Kit: 'Gratitude' by Neia Scraps Points: 1 for the LO, 1 for sharing, #3 Rectangles, #4 Squares, #6 New scrappy stuff (kit), #7 Grateful, #9 Cluster Chaos, #21 Sparkle, #30 Stamps, #36 type It, #44 Old photo, #46 Pop it up (butterfly), #51 Mix it up, #56 Fasten it, #58 Stitched up. TOTAL = 15 points

Ooooh! That template has me wanting to blow the dust off the lids some of my paints and start creating a few backgrounds.
Love your happy summery LO, too. That sunburst is a lovely extra.

Oooh! Great sketch but even better layout! I love the sun-like element, the colors, the splatters, and how the photo is still the star of the layout.

Wow, @elaynef! You are FAST! Love your take on the sketch. That inverted envelope is the perfect mat. What a cool idea!

@elaynef, your page is beautiful. I love the blues you have used that perfectly match the photo. Great interpretation of the sketch.Great layering. AussieMeg, your layout is so pretty. I love the colors you have used and the sunburst. I struggle with sketches, but hope to try this one in a 8.5x11 size.

I started out with this sketch in mind, honest! But this is what ended up on my page: snuggle up by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I did manage a little paint under the title, but not nearly as much as I had envisioned. Ended up switching out my plain background for the snowflake pp, so not a lot of space for artsy techniques.

That page is really pretty, lisapea. Love all the spring colours, especially since I am looking out at a grey day and the world covered in snow!

AussieMeg - fun sketch and I love the colours on your layout and all the paint and all... @elaynef - those blues are lush! grammadee - looks great - my sketch layouts tend to evolve like that also - love the greens and the deep red lisapea - so pretty and spring-like

I think this may actually be the first time I've played along with one of these. The misted background was one I already had which hadn't worked for a page last year, so I'm glad to have it finally used.
