is there a way to keep them in place? For example, I want to cut the design again, and place the pieces into the border. Does this make sense? LOL!

You cut your design and it will be kind of stuck in your die, then you stick a piece of Press-N-Seal to the paper side and remove the die. The cardstock should all stay stuck on the Press-N-Seal and you can take off each piece as you need it. I found a video where she shows it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO8rfDCeF6YIf you don't have Press-N-Seal, I would think you could do the same thing with pieces of painter's tape or the post-it notes with the full adhesive. But I've used the Press-N-Seal myself, so I know it works.
