I'm here with Sketchy Saturday - sorry it's late, last night was a write-off! And then I've just spent an hour arguing with google photos trying to figure out if I can embed images... grrrr..... flickr changes.... I've included small attachments here, but hopefully will edit my post later to include full size for visibility. Through Page Maps, I found a couple of card sketches that gave me layout inspiration. This one I think makes a lovely card or layout! (image removed to save space) Here is my rendition. It is lower quality than I like...again, fighting with Google photos. Apparently I can't download full res photos after I download from my phone? If anyone has suggestions, please, I'm all ears! (image removed to save space)

Great sketch! Love your take on it. Really clever to turn a card sketch into a page! Super sweet photo, and I love that it is recessed behind the frame.

Love it! Off to look for a photo to scrap!
Had to get all my work out of the way first, now I want to have some scrappy time! The Cowboys play tonight and it’s going to snow... what better to do than sit at my scrap table and churn out a couple layouts? Thanks for the inspiration!

Love your page, lisapea. Beautiful photo and I love how the paper colours highlight the dresses.

Here is mine. Have to admit it is more of a lift of kitbop 's page than using the sketch. I used this photo before for my December page in next year's calendar, but I am using it here for a page in this winter's album. I am also claiming a point for the January Stash challenge. When I went digging in my Christmas stash, I found a 2011 Simple Stories collection I had not yet opened! magic of Christmas by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Yikes, I want to do this sketch, but I'm intimidated by the circle, though I can see that it's not just the circle that makes it special, but all the layers too. I'm going to have give it some thought. lisapea , I like your solution a lot, just using a rectangle photo instead. kitbop and grammadee , your pages are beautiful too. Thanks for the inspiration!

Here's my take on the sketch. I flipped it sideways to work with the direction of the pattern on the scrap of vellum I used (which is super subtle online but easier to see the tiny hearts in person).

msliz, I think the circle threw me too, until I saw that kitbop used a frame &/or cut out the shape in the pp and slipped the photo behind it. I ended up doing both for my oval. That way I didn't have to tackle cutting the photo. And lisapea and Chinagirl828, I love how you think outside the box and turned the rounded shape into a rectangle that worked best for you! Go for it msliz!

Love these! lisapea and grammadee, glad to see more Christmas layouts. I thought the sketch would let us showcase some of those beautiful Christmas papers... Loving the different shapes chosen by all of us. And Chinagirl828, *amazing* textures, love it!

I tried to adapt the the sketch to use with two 5x5 photos, but once I got the photos on there, it looked like too much already, so I kept it simple. @elaynef, I like how you used that strong center strip to anchor all your photos and elements - Nice!

So much to love about your page, msliz. That background pp is really pretty. Did you spritz it with those colours? And I love those lacy shapes and how you made them look like hanging ornaments.

That background pp is really pretty. Did you spritz it with those colours? Oh, no, it's just some cheapy thin PP I bought at one of the big box stores. I wasn't sure what I'd use it on when I saw it, but now I'm glad I picked it up.

MDscrapaholic, I love your take on this sketch! Awesome rich fall colours--love the hit of green around the photo--and the leaves and butterflies add so much life to the page. Did you "jig" that wire word? Or did you purchase it from somewhere?

Did you "jig" that wire word? Or did you purchase it from somewhere? It was in my very last Scraptastic kit. It was half a package from Jillibean Soup (2014). Here's a link: Family wire word
