"nice" way to get people to back off?

Thanks everyone! There was a great point made by anxiousmom about some people wanting confrontation. And while she's a bit of a know-it-all, she also thrives on being the victim. So maybe she's looking for confrontation who knows?! Definitely something to think about.

Kids are fine with handling themselves and I have no problem with that. I guess my real point was how do you nicely get someone to shut the F up? The bottom line is I don't really want to listen to her give advice on how to live your life when she can't seem to see how f'd up her life is. Trust me I don't think my life is perfect, in fact I know how imperfect it is and I can see plenty of flaws in myself. I just wish she'd learn to shut her mouth really no one wants her advice!
