I was surprised that the PL and Card also got a free item, both of those subs seemed more complete to me. I did take advantage and have coral paint coming my way  Well I think this was a planned promotion and not in response to the dissatisfaction of the SB kit so I guess that is why. |

I had one month left on my card sub so I'm getting the Oct kit and then I'm done with SC.
I LOVE my Cocoa Daisy kits! They are seriously jam packed with product and each month has been more awesome than the next lately!

I just realized I have one month left on mine - I extended during the instant rewards so my months are off - I am going to wait for sneaks and may go ahead and get Nov and then cancel...or if I am not impressed, go ahead and cancel then and pay the $15...I typically sell some items in my etsy shop so may just make more sense to get it and sell off what I don't like  |

I started subbing in 2008 and have stopped and started back up again a few times. I finally ended up cancelling by PL kit sub because it was just too much stuff. I never had a problem with them and I still buy stuff, I just don't subscribe anymore. I realized that it was the subscription that bothered me. I feel a lot better about my purchases now that I don't feel stuck with stuff I don't really like.

Though the paint was a free item, it would increase your shipping fee as a Project Life subscriber since our shipping fees are based on the weight of your package. As a subscriber, any purchases that you make between the 27th and the end of the month will automatically be bundled and shipped with your monthly kit for one shipping fee. With the addition of the paint, your shipping fee increased to the flat rate shipping fee of $8.25. I'm sorry but I'm unable to cancel this order or provide you with a shipping refund as all sales are final.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions and I would be more than happy to help!

So check your shipping charge. I also had used my points to buy the more solar white cardstock....so I'm thinking it cost me for the"free" items in added shipping costs.Had I known...I would have let them keep their free gift and the points.

paperlover I got a similar response awhile ago. The shipping charges are high and confusing for PL subscribers. Their customer service is awful.

And they are back to deleting posts. April had made a comment about the $50.00 given to new subbers and the "free items" for subbers ( value of $3 or $4) being a balancing of offers for both new and current subbers, which is patently crazy. I quoted and responded that I didn't see how that was balanced and that I felt again current subbers were getting the short end of the stick and new subbers were more valued than current subbers. My comment is now gone. I imagine I will be getting another letter detailing my transgressions from SC staff soon. I still have my first one,complete with April's stamped signature since apparently I am not worthy of an actual signature.

paperlover - you definitely have to be careful with their promotions sometimes - I am sure they are just trying to make it easy or may be a limitation of the system - but still frustrating... On a side note, I did notice they updated their personnel page - I think someone mentioned having a lot more people, so I clicked on it. I noticed Catherine Davisis now doing kit design so maybe that is the change in aesthetic? I do like Catherine's work but it is not as much my style - more graphic than my style..

That is SO crazy! I don't subscribe, but just saw the promotion this morning.. that the paint was for the PL subscribers only, and other flatter items were for the other subscribers. I'm sure they could have given free enamel dots to the PL subscribers and NOT charged them for shipping. This was either a very intentional or very thoughtless promotion. And a really bad way to treat subscribers! |

I don't know if I'm more shocked at how SC continually treats it's subscribers or the fact that some of the SC customers continue to purchase from them after every debacle.
I am all for supporting successful business women. But when I see them manipulating other women, it just irritates the heck out of me.
I choose to support good, honest, hard working women in this industry. I avoid buying SC items at all costs.

It does seem wrong to charge someone more for a free item, especially since the paint would fit fine inside. They should have been clearer for those PL subbers that did not buy an add-on
