I saw it in the theater and give it an A+
PBS is going to show it in Feb.
Won't You Be My Neighbor airs on PBS’s Independent Lens on Saturday, February 9, 2019.

yay! I loved it when I saw it, and I want my DH to see it, but it was only shown in the 'artsy' theater. I will definitely be setting the DVR to record it.

Thank you for the information. I’d love to see it, DH not so much. I need to mark my calender. DH didn't want to go to the movie, but I forced him to indulge me. He loved the movie--it even made both of us tear up a couple of times.

I cried a couple times when I saw it in the theater, too. It's not something DH would want to see, necessarily, but he grew up watching the show too, so I really do think he'd like it. The feeling of being taken back to very early childhood, and the 'goodness' of the show was really kind of magical- but also sad, in a way. I think everyone in the theater felt kind of like that.
Fred Rogers' message of kindness and understanding was really about so much more than just 'won't you be my neighbor?' and I think the world needs more of that.
(or maybe it's just that being an adult with adult-type problems really sucks, lol. it's been a long week...)

Thanks so much for posting about this. I really wanted to see this movie but didn't get a chance to when it was in the theaters. I've marked it on my calendar and will DVR it.
