What is a good font to use on flyers and small road signs (18" x 12") advertising a Craft Sale? I just need something that will stand out the most. Any particular ones that are good for this? Design is NOT my talent; give me some numbers and a spreadsheet any day.
Where's Brick Heck and his Font Club when I need him?

I need help choosing one. That's my problem---too many choices & I don't have the eye to know which might be best suited for my needs.

I like Bebas. Easy to read, large.

First a thread on Becky Higgins and now a thread asking about Fonts. On NSBR.
That Super Blood Wolf Moon was a few nights ago, so I'm out of guesses what is causing this thinning of the veil between the GS board and here.
Oh, say what? You want to know about a road sign? You are looking for a good road sign font?

I use Bebas a lot but Impact is a good bold one as well.

The gravitational pull of the moon does not disappear over night. It lessens each day and then repeats and builds til it climaxes, which is the full moon. I think we are still seeing results of that pull as we are still in the early phases of decline. I think the font they use in highway signs is called Highway Gothic, but there may be others similar you might like by Googling Highway fonts.

Huh? My font question wasn't about scrapbooking. Sometimes, I forget how old I am. Gilda Radnor played this ditzy character Emily Litella back in the days when Saturday Night Live was still new. Emily NEVER heard anything right. She'd go off on a rant and then when she was told what it was that she didn't hear correctly, she would stop her rant and then deliver the line, "Never Mind." With the Becky Higgins thread on NSBR, my first, immediate thought when I read your title looking for a font was this kind of weird coincidence going on. It was almost like the old board there for a split second until a actually read your OP and realized that I had been off on a ditzy tangent. Hence, the "Never Mind." (An oldie but goodie standard joke -- well, it used to be a standard until it got more old than good.) If you don't get it, it's OK. We'll just chalk it up to my rapidly advancing years.

OK, I'm just going to go ahead and say it...….I don't hate Comic Sans. There, it's out.

If you go to dafont.com, you can put your words in the preview box (top left) and then all the fonts come up with your words in their font. That is helpful to see. Definitely do NOT use a serif font. I like Bebas, but I really like Quicksand.
