Please can anyone recommend a good one? I seem to remember this was discussed fairly recently but I can’t find it. Thanks 🙂

Evernote. I've been using the free tier for years and love it. You do have an option to pay annually for higher tiers but not worth it to me. Jennifer Do you know if this is adaptable to UK measurements, descriptions etc?

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what happened on my side with my computer and I deleted my comment.
Evernote is more of a info place, organizes and keeps anything you place in. It's just storage.
Paprika3 is more of a recipe thing. I'm looking at P3 now and I didn't go with it because it is only recipes.

Jennifer Do you know if this is adaptable to UK measurements, descriptions etc? Ah, you asked this on the other thread. I can’t recall if I responded there. It’s not a specifically US app, you can upload recipes from most sites or type in your own. There is a ‘convert’ button so you can change the measurements to those you feel most comfortable with. I currently have recipes stored in imperial, metric and cups. Sometimes I’ll convert, sometimes I just go with it. There is a facility for scaling recipes too so if it’s for 6 but you want it for 2, it does the maths for you. I use it pretty much every day, if not to cook from then to save recipes I fancy trying. I have it on my phone, iPad and computer. What I can’t do is tell you how I managed that! Are you just looking for a recipe app or do you want something that does something more than that?

I know you said you're going with Paprika but I thought I'd toss another one out there - RecetteTekI know everyone here loves Paprika but until recently Paprika wasn't available on android so I had to find something else. RecetteTek is free as well but I did buy the $5.99 version although I can't remember why. My favourite part of the app is the meal planning - if you shake it (gently) it will suggest a recipe from all your saved recipes or from just a category you have chosen. It's like waving a wand and meal planning is done

Another endorsement for Paprika. I have it on my phone and computer. It is one of very few apps I pay for and upgrade.

Paprika has completely changed how I use recipes to cook. I no longer use cookbooks and use my iPad (running Paprika 3) in the kitchen whenever I am cooking using a recipe.

Another vote for paprika 3. Love it. It’s so easy to download recipes you find on the Internet.

I do not like to cook. Hate to shop even more. Paprika makes both of those a little easier. I love how easy it is to add recipes and then add the ingredients to a shopping list. I have it on my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. So worth what I paid for it years.

I'm another Paprika fan. I've been using it since before Paprika 3 came out. It usually goes on sale around Black Friday so if you like it, you might wait before paying for it on other devices. I have it on a tablet and my smartphone. I love that I always have my grocery list with me. I have even done my meal planning while in the store, or parking lot before going in.

I recently switched from Evernote to paprika 3 and am so happy I did... with every penny IMO. I love Evernote for other things (scrap room inventory among others) but love Paprika 3 for recipes.

Question about Paprika - can you modify a recipe you have downloaded from an online source? I do this all the time, download something and then tweak it to suit my tastes or what ingredients I have.

Yes - I do it all the time. Once it is downloaded into your Paprika app you can change whatever you want to and there is even a place to add notes. It truly is awesome.

Another huge paprika fan here. I only add recipes I have tried and want to make again. I try to make sure to put recipes I have used from Pinterest and like on the app because I have had a couple of recipes removed from Pinterest by the person who posted them.

Another vote for paprika 3. Love it. It’s so easy to download recipes you find on the Internet. That's partly what I want it for. I will use internet recipes but if we loved it and want to use it again I can never find it!

I will use internet recipes but if we loved it and want to use it again I can never find it! . I’m always finding online recipes I want to try so I just save them straight to Paprika so I don’t lose them. I’ll either make them and keep, give them a star rating, make some notes, put them in the right category or just delete if we didn’t like. A word of warning, not ALL recipes can be saved automatically. It won’t be you doing something wrong or the app going awry, it’s the format that won’t be acceptable but it’s easy enough to copy and paste a recipe into the app if you need to.
