gramma Congratulations! Plenty of squishy baby pictures coming up when the new addition arrives which means plenty of reasons to get scrappy.
grammadee We'll be waiting for you when you return from physical therapy, tee hee. No, no, you're not getting out of your appointment!
KikiPea How scary! I'm glad you're all home and reunited again. Much love and loads of good vibes.
ecvnj58 Happy birthday to your youngest!
Glad to see so many of us have some free time to come play this weekend. Don't forget that if you're a Team Challenge player, you will earn DOUBLE the POINTS for all projects finished + shared during the crop!

Oh shoot, I forgot this was this weekend and was thinking it was next! I am going to miss out on most of the fun because we’ll be traveling. I will still follow along with the convo here though and maybe plan some projects or watch class videos during my down time. Hopefully we have another scheduled weekend soon so I can participate, I love the idea of an online peas crop!

Friday the 15th: Crop Day 1
In need of inspiration? How about trying your hand at one of our daily themes? Today, we'll be concentrating on:
1. The CHANGE OF SEASON | Let's make a project about the change of season. If you're a EuroPea, you're likely about to live through your final change to DST at the end of the month and may want to document how you feel about that and whether you participated in your country's national survey about it. Has spring sprung where you live? If you're down under, are you enjoying some cooler weather after the record-breaking summer of heat you just had? Are you braving late episodes of snow and cold where you live? Maybe you could talk about the very rare bomb cyclone in the US this week? Are you emptying your closets and doing an early Spring clean?
2. GIVING and RECEIVING | This theme is great for finishing up December albums and LOs, cardmaking, birthday celebrations, Marie Kondo-ing your life/minimalism, documenting the people you love and how they enrich your life.
3. In honour of the people who died or were hurt during the terrible mosque attacks in New Zealand today, consider making something for someone different to celebrate our different cultures and express our acceptance and open-mindedness. If you're Christian, maybe try to use your stash to make a card for someone you know who celebrates Hanukkah, Ramadan or Festivus. No need to buy anything new: we all have alpha stamps/stickers, pretty stencils and enough ink and paint to make something. For help with sentiments, please check out Altenew's Ramadan Greetings set, Altenew's Eid Greetings set, Altenew's Love and Light Greetings set. Acceptance is also an active act of reaching out to those who are different.
Tip of the day: let your goodies guide you. If you have too many photos ready to scrap and don't know where to start, how about letting your favourite goodies show you the way? Pick a line you really like in your stash, look at the colours, theme and sentiments then go fish for a photo that fits the paper (or digital) goods rather than the other way around! It's a great way to use up your favourite stuff or dig straight into new purchases and feel excited about your project!

sleepingbooty can we have a new thread for day one - or even one for each of the themes? Would be good to have a dedicated place to share what we make each day

sleepingbooty can we have a new thread for day one - or even one for each of the themes? Would be good to have a dedicated place to share what we make each day I don't want to flood the General Scrapbooking home page with the crop so, normally, this should be your one-stop thread: conversation/gossip, encouragement, sharing your projects, leaving love for projects shared by others, etc.
It worked well for the December Daily thread. I will amend the thread title, however, so that everyone knows this is the right place. If several Peas would prefer a different place per day, let your voices be heard. Democracy wins!

Indeed, although not always for the best My vote clearly goes to flooding the board (and hardly so, if it's one thread a day!) - much easier to find the prompts, especially for those joining later in the day, if they're in an OP rather than somewhere mid-thread.

No problem. I'm happy to let the other participants decide. What do the other Peas say?
In the meantime, I'm updating the OP with the challenges + pages where they are posted so that nobody gets lost. I hope this helps.

I'm here at 7am on day 3 of my 5 day crop, lying in bed trying to decide if I want to get up & scrap, get up & shower, or continue to chill out in bed...woke up too freakin' early & couldn't get back to sleep...
But I've been productive so far & have quite a stack of LOs. I keep plowing thru all of the baseball ones so I can get to the fun summer ones!

Thank you sleepingbootyI'm game either way (MEGA thread or daily) although I think I prefer daily so the challenges will be easier to spot. I need to finish a sewing project before I switch to scrapping but hope to join in later

I like the idea of everything all in one thread. I often get overwhelmed with having to go to so many threads during month long events. But I also see the value, so my vote is one thread but am ok with 1 per day as well. KikiPea, glad JJ is home and resting. I hope his seizures will be very few and very far between. huskermom98, a 5 day crop sounds fabulous. I vote for staying in bed but that's probably because I'm really tired with only 3.5 hours of sleep last night. cristelina, hope your energy levels stay up this weekend. So glad you are planning to join in. I have some errands today. We're also packing the trailer for the trip to the new house today. DH will be heading there with ds & dd in tow later today. I'm hoping to work on some birthday pages today and tomorrow. One added errand is to get dh's glasses fixed which means I'll stop for sushi and some crop snacks.

I’m looking forward to jumping in after I get home from work today. Photos are in pockets, waiting to be fancied up!
My preference is for one thread with anything and everything, just one trail to follow.

My day is going to be crazy because I just returned from a two week overseas trip but have in laws coming to stay with us. So our house is in a shambles and I have to clean it after work. So MAYBE I will be able to do some late night scrapping today.
Tomorrow is St. Patty’s Day and I’m hoping everyone gets tired and wants to take a nap.
I feel like my bigger scrapping day will be Sunday, sadly.
I plan to work on one (or two?) weeks of PL and then I need to decide if I’m going to include my trip in my PL or if I’m going to make a separate album. I’m thinking I’m going to include it.
Also, I vote for one thread. Mostly because I know how annoying it is when you aren’t participating to see the forum flooded.

Love the prompts, sleepingbooty! And I like that you updated your op to list them there and direct people to this page. Have some birthday photos to scrap, so the giving/receiving theme should work for at least one page. Our clocks "sprung ahead" on Sunday, and I am still tired. Prob won't document that, but I do have quite a collection of clock papers and other elements. Have to remind myself to use some on a page or two this weekend.

Although, even if you're just lurking today, and you're nowhere near your supplies, I'll count you in as participating if you just have happy thoughts And I just finished my first layout!

I have to work in 6 minutes but will be back as soon as my day is done.
Have fun!
I think one thread will be great, no searching for which is the right thread.

Way to get us started, msliz! Love your Dumbo page. I did some planning, cutting and some other prep for two double page LO's this morning. As usual, when just getting back into scrapping, it seems like every decision takes forever, and then when I do decide I can't find exactly the right items to make my vision work. Hope to finish at least one of them when I get home from physio. Some glue needs to dry, and I decided that I need a couple of photos re printed in different sizes which I can do in town. Prob won't be able to share until tomorrow.

I went to a crop a few weekends ago and didn't manage to get everything done that I planned out so I'm hoping to do some scrapping and card making this weekend. I have my GD dance recital to go to tomorrow so hopefully today and Sunday I can get something done.
Not sure if I will do the prompts but I look forward to seeing what everyone creates!
Have fun ladies!

I've been up since 5am on our Saturday, a bit bleary eyed. Thank you for your thoughtful prompts sleepingbooty. We're all in shock here. I'll be doing some card making this weekend. I have some Easter and birthday cards to make and may also do a few for the Pea holiday card exchange. Also want to make a Passover card for one of my cousins in Israel.

Hi. Right now I'm working on my watercolor painting. I love that I can go back to it any time I want. They just re-activate with water and I can add to it or go back and fix mistakes any time I want. I will be catching up on PL later. Thanks for the challenges, sleepingbooty , I have some ideas.

I just got home. A solid two hours later than expected but my meeting ran late. Got my crop snacks and already put on a pair of comfy leggings and sweatshirt (featuring some of Disney's good guys because of course). My SO had bought some M&M's and a bottle of wine on his way back so we'll be chilling in together tonight. Reminder that Netflix is releasing the new season of Queer Eye today. Major yay! It'll play in the background as I scrap tonight. Finally, ALL the envelopes for with the little bits of scrappy paper and memento cards have been sent. Finally got around to it! Sorry for doing it so late but the box remained solidly planted by the front door with the unexpected caretaking. I realised a little late (basically, at the post office) I could've added extra paper to the envelopes as they were underweight. Looks like my kitchen scales are a bit off! You all should receive your little envelope in the mail in the next couple of weeks max. If you haven't received yours by April, please reach out! I still have some cards left over in case someone wanted one but was a little late to sign up. catseatcheese I'll happily mail one to you, just PM the address you want it sent at. LisaDV Wishing you a safe trip to the new house (how exciting)! Sushi sounds awesome. Fax me some? oaksong Photos already in pockets? You're a good egg, I say. That's great prep work. Have a great day at the office! @zingermack Look forward to having you here. Sending you productive meeting (that don't run too long) vibes!
pancakes That is madness galore! You'll be drowning in housework between preparing the stay for your in-laws and getting all the travel laundry done. Best of luck. Wishing you a lovely St. Patrick's Day and hope to see you in here later this weekend! grammadee Glad you like the prompts! It seems that a lot of people suffer for quite some time from the time change (which is why Europe voted to end it). I hope you'll soon feel back to your old self. How was physical therapy today? msliz You busy bee! Love your Dumbo LO. The powdery grey with the muted blue hues is a beautiful colour combo and is the perfect complementary scheme to the soft pink-ish tones in the photos. Those vertical rows of (Nuvo?) dots give energy and the idea of movement to mirror the fun memory captured. Is this attraction also called Dumbo the Flying Elephant in your Disney park? Also, can I add a quick sneak of your LO to my crop LO (yes, I'm scrapping about the crop, very meta )? You were the first to finish and share a project so I feel you deserve to make the cut. wallyagain Have a great day at work! May the hours fly by. Elsabelle What would be a MEGAAA thread without a killer gif? Mmm, tea. I'm growing impatient waiting for the new harvest of Sencha tea leaves in Japan this spring and am close to running out of my 2018 harvest stash. *pouts* What's in your mug today?
lisacharlotte Thanks for the reminder! I saw that lovely card with RGB and smiled.
canadianscrappergirl The prompts are just there to spark some scrappy fun in case you need it, no worries. Have fun at your GD's dance recital! More sweet memories and pictures to document.
justlisa7 See you tonight! Hope your Friday goes well.
anniefb So very sorry for what your country is going through right now. What a horrible thing to happen. Terrorism is truly heartbreaking and a difficult thing to process. It came as a shock to us that this took in place in New Zealand which always seems like such a peaceful place. Sending you plenty of hugs and comfort and keeping you and your country in my thoughts.
quietgirl Watercolours are magic, I agree! I think it's one of the underrated, "simple" artistic pleasures. Which watercolour set are you working with right now?
@millefeuilles "Dédé" never ends. "Dédé" is forever. Are you working with Carta Bella/Echo Park goodies tonight?
marie Wow Marie, you are quick out of the starting blocks! Such a lovely and peaceful layout. I must say that an "adult camp" sounds a bit kinky... Love that pattern paper in the background with all camp elements. That paint effect over the "great outdoors" alpha stickers is so appropriate (reminds me of the painted marks to follow trails on the trees).
