Happy Mail in my mailbox today from France! Thank you sleepingbooty for the crop card and for the cute papers. You sent a card that will be perfect for one of my pages: it reads, keep calm et profite de la vie (and enjoy life) and I plan to use it on a page about DD's recent trip to Quebec. But, if I'm honest, I might just love the French Mickey Mouse postage stamp most of all Yay! I'm glad the envelope reached you safe and well. And that I happened to pick out the right little card for you.
I tried to remember who was a Disney lover on here when sticking down the stamps (some of the crop participants will get a pretty Unesco stamp instead). But I knew you'd like Mickey! Mine came today, too! I love the crop card and the papers. Thank you so much! Photo taken of envelope and paper for PL. Thank you for your kindness.

So I'm back with the family and at the new house. Obviously, this sucks for my computer time as I haven't been able to carve out enough time to come back to this thread. Love the newer layouts and projects. msliz , your acorns are on their way as of today. I had you send the crop card to my old address, so I won't be able to pick it up until the end of April. sleepingbooty. Just letting you know in case you're like one of those overly ambitious organized types.

I got happy mail from France! Thank you sleepingbooty! Can't wait to use the papers and card on a page about the crop! De rien. Yay for making a page about our crop! It was such a fun event and deserves a little mention in our memory books, I agree.
I got my special delivery from France today! What a treat! Pretty little envelope, stamp, card, papers! Thank you so much sleepingbooty! Sending you a hug from across the globe... Heehee, I love that you thought the envelope was pretty. It's just a standard French envelope (I was desperately trying to keep everything as light as possible for the weight limit with the stamp). Hugs right back atcha, mon amie!

I enjoyed this thread even though I didn't have time to participate properly. Wonderful seeing everyone's work. Sorry I didn't have time to leave comments, but yay for everyone who got some lovely pages made.
We are back from our trip, with colds, thanks to one of our party, powering through the jet lag/zombie mode Monday. I felt like I was doing my trip "wrong" half of the time, not buying the souvenirs other people are clammering for (no pens or stationery to speak of, I got so overwhelmed in Tokyu Hands I completely lost it), not taking good enough pictures or the right kind of IG pictures (no butterbeer mustache selfie, I'm such a failure), and not seeing some of the stuff that everyone is asking about, especially at the theme parks. Too much comparison/high standards in my head. I'm never going to live up to Kelly Purkey or Geralyn Sy's effortless (looking) travel. (I know, don't compare your first draft with someone else's masterpiece). But anyway, we had an amazing trip, very busy, lots of adventures, lots of good luck.

My envelope arrived safely yesterday sleepingbooty - thanks so much! My little envelope of happiness arrived safely yesterday as well. Thanks so much, sleepingbooty. Torn between squirreling them away for a really special page, or using them immediately while I still know exactly where they are!

My order of the complete Pinkfresh Out and About collection arrived the same day, so it was a very happy mail day indeed My pleasure! You had a packed day of happy mail, indeed. Wishing you loads of fun with Out & About, such a lovely line. I received my goodies in the mail today. Happy mail is so fun, isn't it? Thank you, sleepingbooty . You're very welcome. Happy mail is the best, I agree. Oh no, joblackford. Please don't get all hung up on the comparison stuff. The travel itself is what matters. The memories you make don't have to be perfected into neat little Insta-worthy photos. I know that we feel the pressure to succeed on the photography font as documenters but oh my, please focus on all the wonderful times you had, all the lovely tastes you experienced and all the fun you had. No social media display guilt, ok? So glad you had a great time. And good on you for not going crazy with the purchases: more stuff isn't always better. You can always get a few rolls of new Japanes washi from Cute Things from Japan (they always send out stuff super quickly and package it up pretty). Don't worry about that. Travel isn't a buying spree. My envelope arrived safely yesterday sleepingbooty - thanks so much! Woohoo! That was rather quick to go all the way to NZ. My little envelope of happiness arrived safely yesterday as well. Thanks so much, sleepingbooty. Torn between squirreling them away for a really special page, or using them immediately while I still know exactly where they are! Well, in true sleepingbooty style, I'd say use them up ASAP. Just curious to see what you'll be able to use the bear paper for, tee hee. I have never seen one IRL outside of the zoo, I think.

You can always get a few rolls of new Japanes washi from Cute Things from Japan (they always send out stuff super quickly and package it up pretty). Don't worry about that. Travel isn't a buying spree. Thanks I was relieved I at least recognized what was happening as it happened so I could take a step back and reassess. I did have a great time, I took lots of cool photos that I love, and I made an awesome little 1 second everyday video that gives a really fun overview of the trip in 94 seconds - I'd never done video before but this was such a painless way to do it and I love the result. And it seems like a great way to share the trip with people without boring them! The trip was also overwhelming and exhausting and I was pretty anxious for major parts of it - navigating with 4 other people in a very foreign, very crowded country where you are functionally illiterate and only one person among you is somewhat fluent in the language is tough! It was not a laid back vacation, but no one yelled and there were only a few tears >.< We're not really good theme park people either - my family raced through the entrance to the Wizarding World with barely a glance around !! I kept losing them in the crowds because I wanted to soak it all in... But I'm not really a Disney/park person either, no matter how much fun other people make it look. My nephew had a pretty good time though. And yeah, as for shopping, there's plenty of stuff I can buy here - we have a Kinokuniya full of Japanese stationery in Seattle, not to mention from the wide world of the interwebs. I wish wish wish we had a Muji here, but truly there's nothing I really need from there! Nothing I really need at all.

Sorry I haven't been commenting as I said I would. The last two weeks were difficult. There was so much to love in the layouts shown. Thanks for sharing!
