________________________________________
It looks like we're moving forward with our online crop, everyone! Get your planners out and mark the weekend of March 15-17 as your extra scrappy weekend. We'll be holding a MEGAAA crop right here and getting our craft (and gossip) on.
This is your official sign-up + prep thread. Please confirm your participation below and feel free to use this place to brainstorm your prep: which projects you'll be working on, which photos you'll need to get printed, how to get started on a crop kit, whether you want to make any new purchases from the freshly released lines at Creativation 2019 or how to get the most from your current stash, etc.
The crop will feature a random draw with two prizes open to all participants (worldwide).
Everyone who has cropped along and wishes to enter at the end of the crop weekend will be eligible to win one of two prizes:
1. a brand new Ali Edwards 6x8 album with page protectors and AE goodies for the PL/pocket page scrappers (kindly offered by the amazing justlisa7 , thank you so much for doing this!) 2. a French 12x12 scrap kit with papers, stickers and die-cuts for the traditional scrappers

Edited to add: I am not sure what I will work on for sure, but have a lot photos printed and usually also print at home, as needed. I am looking forward to this.

I’m in! I’ll be at an actual crop for part of the Saturday, but that just means I can get away from other distractions for a few hours I keep meaning to join in the team challenges but never do, I think this could be just the kick in the butt I need to get going with my scrapping again. My main aim will be to work on my Japan album. Which means I need to look through/ organise/print photos first, for sure. 1. jennyap 2. I want want the memento card - yes please! 3. I want want the French scrappy paper set (only 20-ish available) - but I can probably get hold of some more easily than the US peas, so don’t mind not if you’re over subscribed. 4. Country of residence - UK

1. Elsabelle 2. I want a memento card 3. I want the French scrappy paper 4. United States sleepingbooty, thank you so much for doing this! I'm excited! As far as crop prepping, I will start editing pictures tomorrow. Lots and lots of pictures. I'll need to keep in mind that I'll need to get the pictures edited in time to order them online. I order from Snapfish and they seem to take forever. I will also start looking for supplies to go with pictures. Next on my list is telling my family that I'm scheduling the crop and if they interrupt me or expect anything from me that weekend I will cut them. I will also plan some fun food. I don't think it will be like the good old days when I had a better metabolism and would eat mini Reese's peanut butter cups until I had a sugar high that would last until 2 or 3 in the morning but some fun finger foods would be nice.

2. I want the memento card
3. I want the French scrappy paper set, if still available
4. USA
eta: I've been wanting to make a mini about my daughter for ages - specifically pictures of her wearing hats. We can't go anywhere without her trying on some kind of hat, be it a bowler, beanie, cowboy or sun hat. Luckily, she's also a ham, and is always ready to pose for a picture. I've got the new We R Memory Keepers book binding guide ordered, so if I can figure it out by then, I'll try to use it to make my book.

Yay, happy to see people signing up!
mikklynn Oh no! But you can still come and post your IRL crop creations to play along when you take a break... jennyap No worries, I'm sure I can manage to do a bit more than 20. I'm going to order some extra paper while the winter sales are still happening over here. Next on my list is telling my family that I'm scheduling the crop and if they interrupt me or expect anything from me that weekend I will cut them. And we all know how sharp those crafty scissors can be...
Like you, I need to really get my photo order in well in time. Certainly before the end of this month! And yes to planning some fun croppy food to keep going (without smudging all the pretty paper things). Home-made hummus with crudités, maybe some finger sandwiches or sushi. Mmm...

Country of residence if memento card/scrappy paper set: United States I am considering using this crop to work on some digital pages. I have a list of kits I want to work on. To get ready, I will need to import those kits and my photos into the software. I like a long weekend to work on digital scrapbooking since it takes me a bit to get into the groove with my software. I like to listen to my book podcast or audio books while scrapbooking so I need to download that. Thanks so much for hosting sleepingbooty

I want very much to do this, and intend to be an active participant. I am having shoulder surgery on Thursday and my doctor may have other ideas (I am currently not allowed to go to work lol) IF I can participate I will be working on some photos for my general album with pictures from 12/18 to 2/28. I am also trying to finish Ali's class 31 more things and that may be a more realistic project.

Thanks for organizing sleepingbooty ! I will be back to post my plans tomorrow.
ETA: Back to update this. I'm not sure yet what I will be working on since I will likely scrap a bit between then and now. I *hope* that the "Out & About" collection from Pinkfresh Studios becomes available on scrapbook.com in time for me to have it by the crop. If so, I plan to complete my long overdo travel mini from when we went to Europe in 2015 (London, Paris, and Normandy). I already have the photos printed, ephemera organized, album cover completed, and journaling typed up, I just need to put it all together and decide how I'm going to put the journaling into the album.
If not, I will probably work on Project Life or story kit layouts. My goal is to make 3 projects from each story kit and do a weekly spread in project life each week. So far this year I have been really on top of this, but I'm sure this weekend will help me be fully "caught up."

No thanks I would, but I'm going to be out of town for a bit before this starts, so I don't want it to arrive and get damaged/stolen while I'm gone. The French paper sampler is really small (just a few pieces of papier, the largest being 4x6) and fits in a regular mailing envelope. I'm trying to keep costs reasonable and under 20g per envelope for shipping worldwide (the next level for worldwide mailing from France is 100g and double the price, alas, no in-between 50g level available anymore) so it's anecdotal.
I'm in bed designing the memento business card right now. The event's motto is officially: "Crop till you drop." It's going to be intense, y'all...

I just ordered some more French scrapbook paper for the small samplers I'll be sending out and ordered the 12x12 prize kit as well. The 12x12 prize kit will contain 4 papers (sorry, the final two were already sold out), the die-cut set and a sheet of label stickers from Les Ateliers de Karine's Blue Batik collection:

Does it count if while I’m traveling I compile my photos in my app ready for printing? I’m definitely bringing my pages for my new planner to write in each night. Maybe I’ll bring some Nuvo for glueing them down if I pass a place to print them.
