New cameo?
Just saw a picture on a cameo Facebook group of a new cameo. It looks exactly the same except the buttons are different.
Maybe it's wireless? Cuts thicker material?

I'm intrigued! I don't see anything on Silhouette's official website. Mine is less than a year old so I'm not buying a new machine, but I would definitely spring for a wireless adapter so I can lose the computer cord!

My machine has gone through the ringer so I might be in the market for a new one sooner or later! Would be cool if there was a "fancier/update" version that cuts more materials!

Just saw it. I bet that post gets deleted really quick tho. I don't think the info was supposed to get out until the 15th. I wish we had details.

I want more info too! I went to work in my kids' classrooms this morning and when I returned, all of the posts people were making about it were deleted. I did read the price is supposed to be $299. Honestly, I'm happy with the machine I have. Unless the newer ones have super awesome features, I'm good with my Cameo.

I'm with you htstepper. Unless I see significant improvement with some things then I don't really see the point in upgrading.

I don't think the info was supposed to get out until the 15th. Do you know something the rest of us don't know? What about the 15th? I assume you didn't pull that date out of a magician's hat. I am happy with my Cameo. I have been suspecting that a new machine was going to be released when the price on the current Cameo dropped (at first on Amazon, now at Michael's) to what it sold for last Black Friday. I don't need a new cutting machine, but I can't help being curious.

Well I'm curious too and what's the story with the 15th? I'm still using my cricut with sure cuts a lot but am looking to replace it with a cameo or portrait in due course.

Interesting... I've had my cameo since it was first released and I love it. I don't feel that I'm missing anything with it-except maybe the ability to cut thicker materials-so I doubt I'd trade it in. But, never say never because I said the same thing when the cameo first came out. Didn't feel the need to upgrade from my SD but all the hype got me excited and suddenly I had a cameo... So you just never know...

My Cameo is about 2 years old so I won't be upgrading for awhile. I haven't even used this current one to it's full potential yet!

I've been trying to find that Facebook post but I think they pulled it. Also, anyone else notice that the Silhouette Blog hasn't updated in a couple of days? Wonder what's going on.

I saw that too, and was hoping more info could be found here.
I am in the market for a new machine...have been hovering over the BUY me button over at Amazon but just couldn't commit as I was hoping a new machine was coming out. And my bday is coming up, but so is DH's so we have to get his wishlist done first, haha. I just hope this one isn't tied to the "internet only" like the new Cricuts, Brother and that other overpriced one.

From what I read before they deleted the post, this info came from a retailers webinar, and the public announcement is to be made on the 15th. I also saw where the silhouette school started an email with a you tube video, but then deleted the video.
There is currently a post going on Happy Sil on Facebook. I feel like it will be deleted also, if you are a member there you might be able to catch it.

Thanks momtomy2 for the info, tantalizing as it is. I have never heard of Happy SIL, so obviously am not a member there.
Guess I will have to be patient and wait till the 15th to find out more.

People who were invited to attend the webinar are saying it is not wireless. But, one of the pictures shows the various ports on it. One is a USB port, which to me seems to indicate that it might be able to support a wireless adapter at some point. I am only speaking from the pictures, I am not a retailer and was not invited to the webinar.

From what I have heard, there aren't any significant differences other than the way the machine looks. I was hoping for a machine with more pressure that could cut thick chip board but I guess not Wireless would be great too. I had heard about the rumours of a new silhouette but if there is nothing major different I think I may look closely at the explore. I'm happy with my current cameo though.

I did see in the photos that it looks like there is a touch LCD screen vs the button-controlled screen on the older Cameo.

I noticed on their new design web page that the "blog" button is no longer there. There is Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+ and Vimeo - but no blog.
Happy Sil Site and All Things Silhouette Cameo & SD are two HUGE Silhouette groups on Facebook. Lots of great files and people that help. Sprinkled in with a small dose of cray-cray every once in a while. They are closed and secret groups, but if you are interested, I could try and add you to the group.

Thank you, iowgirl, but I don't know if I could be a very active participant right now, and it would be unfair to ask to join if I can't really participate and share. I may ask you to try later, though.
Thanks.

It'd be a shame if it's not wireless. Still interested to hear about it though
