QVC Today's Special Value by Ninja
I've been thinking about a new slow cooker because one of the handles fell off my old one and I have to use a potholder to move it around when it's hot now. I just know someone's going to end up getting burned by that thing. So I had looked at a Ninja 3-in-1 at Bed, Bath & Beyond for about the same price as this new model. I'm excited about this. Love the idea of being able to brown the meat in the same pot before slow cooking. Also I want to try out some of the other capabilities. I ordered it in black. Thought about green, chickened out. I'll keep the old one for the once-in-a-while that I'm cooking for a party and need two crockpots going at once. Just thought others might be interested in seeing this new Ninja.

I saw it was the TSV today. I have the 3-in-1 from when it was the TSV awhile back. I seriously love it!!

I've had the 3 in 1 for a couple of years. LOVE it. It's easily my most used appliance (not counting the microwave-I have teens, after all). I wish I could justify getting this new one-I would like to have a clear lid. I am curious what the difference is to make it 4 in 1 because mine does all of the things that are listed. The front panel looks exactly the same.
I wish it was programmable. That's the only other thing that would make it perfect. Sometimes I like to slow cook on high for an hour or two and then switch to low. Usually someone is home to do that but it would be simpler if I could just program it.
eta: looks like this one has a steamer basket. The old one can steam but I have to use a separate basket.

Thanks for the input. All the reviews on the QVC site are positive, too. I'm feeling good about this purchase.

If I didn't just get the QVC pressure cooker, I'd be all over this. I love that is comes in colors that match the pressure cooker - they aren't trying to lure us into replacing all our kitchen small appliances so that they match, are they?

I love mine and use it all the time. I buy more than my share of kitchen gadgets that go unused but not this one. If mine broke, I would replace it immediately.

I ordered one as well! In black. Having a bit of buyer's remorse at the moment, glad to see gals are happy with their Ninja! I need an oval crock pot and love that you can brown in this thing and then slow cook. Haven't told Hubs yet!

I bought it too. I just about got green, but switched to white at the last second.

I have one that I bought at Costco last year. I love it. I love that I truly can cook a meal in one pot. It is nice to be able to sear meats before turning it to slow cooker. You do need more liquid than a traditional crock pot as it lets out steam. I love the buffet mode which just keeps things warm. It works greats for night DH works late.
I am curious what they added to this to make it a 4 in 1.
I do wish that you could put it in the dishwasher but it does seem to clean easily.

I put mine in the dishwasher. The pan part, anyway. Not the lid.

Here is a facebook group for anyone interested. They seem to have a lot of recipes but it's not easy to look through them. Lots of recipes that use canned soup, canned gravy, etc which I try to avoid but they are probably adaptable. www.facebook.com/groups/403206896465253/

I took a look and ordered the green one. Would have preferred a more neutral color but they were all wait listed. Thanks for the tip!

I bit the bullet and ordered the green one. Actually, I ordered the stainless one and then canceled it because I didn't want to wait for it to be restocked. I have been wanting a new crockpot for a while (mine is 18 years old). Plus, we are getting ready to undergo a kitchen renovation and I thought the Ninja might be handy to use for cooking. I just unboxed it and I'm getting ready to look at the cookbook.

I'm just unpacking mine, too. I'm surprised that green was the last color left ... I thought it was a great color.

My dinner last night was fantastic! I am so excited about this machine. It is much much better than a crockpot.
So last night, I took some flour, salt, pepper and scampi seasoning (made by WildTree) and put in a gallon ziploc. I added in pieces of boneless skinless chicken breasts and shook them around to coat them in the flour mixture. In the Ninja, I melted butter and oil on Stovetop High (using the Chicken Piccata recipe as my guide) and then browned the chicken on both sides. Then I removed the chicken and put it on the grate thingy (official name :-) In the pot, I added a cup of white wine, a cup of chicken broth, a cup of white rice and a bunch of chopped broccoli then put the grate thingy with the chicken on top. I set the Ninja on Oven 350 degrees and put the lid on. After 15-20 minutes, the rice and broccoli were perfect and the chicken was done. It was so good! We topped with a bit of grated parmesan when served.
