I first signed up when my oldest was a baby, and what I thought was my password (her name with a number as a letter) turned out to be my user name. I'm not sure I ever posted with that name, if I did it was only on GS. The board upgraded or something, and I lost that account. I made a new one eventually, and I combined my kids names. It sounded like something Scooby Doo would say, so Gryroshaggy it became.
Then when we moved here I just became Gryroagain.
I've never been a prolific poster, much more a reader.
I enjoyed reading these!

Stittsy is a nickname derived from my last name, and I’m a girl ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) . It was also the same user name I had at 2Peas. All these years I've been reading "Saint Ittsy Girl". ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Ivm7lm0DayrhoRpwvCeH.jpg) For some reason my brain converted that 'st' to 'saint'. I do like your new avatar!

Madi is my daughter's nickname and we are two peas in a pod...so, Madi & Me was fitting.

It’s my first name and the first four letters of my middle name. It was a suggested user name on one of my first message boards, and it just stuck.

My brother has a nickname for me, Beeno, which is a play on my first name. I just did the obvious. Another more clever Pea than I once pointed out that Peano must represent the fact that I have gone on record to say many times on threads that I detest peas, so that works too.

This thread has been very enlightening. Some I already knew, but others I learned something about. Fun!
Mine was the same on the old site. My boys were little when I joined and it seemed Spongebob was playing in the background on the TV much of the time. I was trying to get them to do something one day and made a joke that if was Spongemom they would do it. My name came out of that joke and the fact that scrabpbooking was what brought me to the old pod in the first place.
There is another Spongemom here, too.

I think when I first joined on the old board or maybe it was the CKMB (how many came here from there? Me!), it was mom-on-line. Could not think of a user name but DS had just joined the Navy and set up ICQ for me and I needed a user name. I switched it to ToniW (Toni W), which was my nickname a lifetime ago. I just kept it and my avatar because I'm too lazy to change it, let alone figure out how to change it. ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png)

When dh and I first met - 29 years ago - he gave me the nickname Malibou. I think he was looking for a way to not call me by my boyish real name. When I asked about his spelling of it, he said it was from the spelling of maribou slippers, which are so not me, and it made him laugh. He even sings songs for me using this name. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) . Coincidentally we now live near Malibu.

Mine is I own a lot of paper so I am basically the goddess of paper. But really, when we were teenagers my bff gave me one of those cards with the b&w photos of two older, conservatively dressed ladies and the inside said "from one goddess to another" and the idea just stuck. It's tongue in cheek bcz i don't actually think of myself as a goddess, but i fake it, to make it and it helps my confidence.

Mine is pretty obvious. I am Sean and Mary's mommy, lol. I remember when I had my son in late 2002 and changed my 2peas name to seansmommy, and it felt so strange, to call myself a mommy. Of course now that newborn is 16 years old....lol. Mary came along in late 2013, and it felt wrong to leave her out, so I added her!

Mine is from a town where we lived. There were 3 of us in our social circle with the same first name but we all lived in different towns so I became Bonanza Terri. It was later just shortened to Bonanza.

sharlag = Shar Lag. Check. stittsygirl = Stitty’s girl. Check. janeliz = Jane Liz. Check. hutchfan = last year I discovered you (U.S. you) had a piece of furniture that you referred to as a hutch. I thought hutchfan liked this style of furniture! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) (don’t be rude now, I have one in my lounge). I’ve been GillyP for about 30 years. Gill (Gillian) my first name and a friend/colleague used to call me MrsP which was nothing to do with my name and it just morphed into GillyP. If I’d had my wits about me I should have used GillyPea when I first joined but I was too slow to think of it.

I use my name a lot on several sites. A long, long time ago I worked for a Scottish chemist who called me MrsT in honour of the then prime minister Mrs Thatcher....who I hated! I even went on a march in London yelling " Maggie, Maggie, Maggie out out out!

My poor last (married) name gets mangled constantly, so it’s fun to see how other people read it here. Thanks for the new new avatar love as well! I realized went through almost a whole decade (my 40s) with very few photos of myself. I made a resolution to try to take more photos from now on with me in them, including selfies. I’m one that’s always hated seeing herself in pictures and I’m trying to change that ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) . This is a fun thread, thank you mom26 for starting it.

This has been a fun read. Mine is pretty simple, way back when I wanted to be artsymama, but there was a famous blogger who went by that. In fact I found her blog because I was googling the name to see if it was taken. So then I came up with artsydaisy, a play on oopsy-daisy. I think of as my artistic way of making something creative out of mistakes combined with my love for daisies. I doodle daisies constantly and even have them tattooed on me.

I brought my username over from the old Two Peas. There’s a book by Kay Redfield Jamison called The Unquiet Mind, that tells of the author’s personal struggle with bipolar disorder. I’ve never been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but “unquiet” seemed like a pretty accurate description of the chaos that’s often found inside my head (I overthink and overanalyze everything).
