Q: What's black and white and red all over? A: A newspaper! We've all heard that old riddle. Now let's see what you can do with black and white and one other colour of your choice. Instead of black and white, you can use other neutral colours such as cream, beige/kraft, or silver if you prefer. Twist: A bonus point if you include glitter on your card or layout. This is my example, using black and white and turquoise/teal, which is one of my favourite colours.

Beautiful page, AussieMeg! I really need to play with some mixed media and some sparkle... Pointsters, you might be able to combine this with the Donna challenge and get some extra points.

I love this! Spent the morning trying to find b&w pic. Finally found one. Hope to try to do something with the aqua tomorrow. Got distracted and made aqua card with b&w scripture . I should point out that it doesn't have to be a B&W photo, but it certainly helps when you have a photo of three people wearing 8 different colours and none of them are teal! Your card sounds like it fits the challenge perfectly!

When @elaynef told about her card it reminded me that I promised to make some Wedding cards for my DD. So I made them black and white and blue. I may make enough to share at Card Club on Wed. So will photo them all then and post. This challenge worked out well for me.

Your card sounds like it fits the challenge perfectly! I made 2 cards aqua because I loved it so much, then today, I tried again with a pic. After seeing this pic, I'm going to change it and make both flowers the lighter color. I think I've learned I may not be able to do paper with a digital layout! But I like them. Your layouts are so beautful, I can't resist trying.
The b&w is #4 gs in 2015. I chose the paper with the cups because he now owns his own coffee shop.

The brick is really prominent, but I actually only scrapped with black, white, and green. Thanks AussieMeg - sometimes keeping it simple is the way to go!

Here is my layout. I actually started this page for a different challenge, then decided to switch and that made the embellishments so much easier. Plus I got to use that awkward gem that I've never been able to put on another project. LOL. Thanks for the challenge!

This is my black, white and ? for Day 16. I used @elaynef 's idea and did a cards for my DD who asked me to make her some. Then while I had the cut files on the screen I decided to do 8 of them for Card Club this week. That's the reason for so many. Wedding Cards
@elaynef, isn’t your DGS the one who made a Coffee shop from a school bus? He’s a great looking young man and I love your page about him. The background paper fits! Love your cards and the teal. The scripture card is very special. msliz, I love those portraits. The black and white matting paper is gorgeous. It has an Asian look to it. thracian, I love the angles on your layout. That script paper is great. Great job with the layering and spatters. I think it’s interesting how many of us used teal after seeing AussieMeg’s layout.

Here is my page for this, and also for the February Donna challenge. Not a lot of sparkle, except for that holographic banner and a bit on the black letter stickers. Find your own story by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Love the story of your dad, gramadee. Where wea he originally from? My dad was born in British Guiana, South America, but his parents were Brits. When his father suffered a stroke, there was no health insurance, no unemployment benefits, and very little for the family to live on. He was the oldest of 3 boys, and came to Canada in 1906 to "make his fortune". He was able to claim a homestead and to help support his mother and two younger brothers, but never did find that elusive fortune. He was a true "pioneer" of the prairies, and my childhood was full of his entertaining stories of his adventures.
