Almond milk. Since its kinda pricey, I mostly use it on my cereal.

Guacamole...I am addicted now. Same here! Avacado in general is new to me, as is sushi - but only the cooked kind (crab, shrimp) still cannot bring myself to eat raw fish.

guacamole & hummus... in the past I've had trouble with this texture of food, but lately can't seem to get enough.

I'm on a high-protein/low everything else diet so I've been eating a lot of things I never used to regularly. I had leeks for the first time and love them stir-fried with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper. I've been eating tuna which I always avoided but when you're starving it works And dill pickles, protein drinks, and protein bars. Not together ... separately.

For me it would be kale. Love it. Just started growing it in my garden. I really wish I liked more veggies but I'm working on it.

Well, it's not really a new food to me, but the amounts I am eating are definitely new. I have been consuming one of the Costco-sized bags of broccoli at least once a week. By myself! I blame it on Love Labs who gave me the trick of sprinkling it with olive oil and roasting it in the oven. OMG is it ever good. I thought I had ruined it at first because it was all browned and shriveled looking. But the taste was amazing and not like typical broccoli at all. Now, I crave it. And it is so fast and easy, and minimal cleanup. I got my mom hooked on it too. We sprinkle a bit of Parmesan cheese on it. I just ate the last of it for lunch today so I have to go get another bag. I'm going to have to try this! Thanks!

Cole slaw. Not a lot but I can stomach it. I was never able to get past the smell but for some reason, it doesn't smell and taste so bad anymore.

I'm going to have to try this! Thanks! I just put some parchment paper on the cookie tray so that all the olive oil remains on it and I don't have to wash the cookie sheet. Yes, I am that lazy. I've also done potatoes with a bit of rosemary, cauliflower, and asparagus this way. I'm totally hooked. Don't worry if it looks ruined. We found we preferred it to be a bit crunchy.

Fish and sushi. I didn't like fish growing up, but love certain kinds now. I found a delicious teriyaki salmon with siracha mayo....Holy yummy. Even my kids rave about it (damn delicious blog).

Bleu Cheese. I hated it, I thought. But then I had it broiled on a steak and oh my yummmm! My fave new sandwich is thinly sliced roast beef and melted blue cheese drizzled with basalamic vinegarette.

Guacamole...I am addicted now. This! A few weeks ago, DH and I went to a great restaurant in DC (Oyamel) and they made guacamole at our table. It was awesome. I found a similar recipe online and now make it at home. I've always said I dislike avocados but have now repented.

For me it's avocados (I now put them on everything- tacos, sandwiches, eggs) and guacamole, cottage cheese if it's baked into something like lasagne (not on it's own though, still gross that way) and asparagus.

Fresh jalapenos in my cooking. YUM! I used to love jarred jalapenos, but I can't even use them now. The real fresh jalapenos are just awesome!

Sushi. I was at a hibachi place and my friend ordered some sushi. I gave it a try and liked it. That was about a year ago, since then I have tried several different kinds.

Mangoes. I only started eating them last year. I finally learned how to properly cut & slice them last week. I just had my first taste of mango last week. What is the proper way to cut and slice? Do tell . . .

Beets, mustard greens and sweet potatoes. These foods also have me using miso and ginger in my cooking. Getting a CSA basket has really changed our eating habits. DH's co-workers are always interested to see what weird food turns up in his lunch.

None of these are really new, but I thought I hated Chinese food, guacamole, and fish as a kid/teen. With Chinese, it turns out, I just dislike sweet and sour, but every time my mom made Chinese, she made sweet and sour. I will also occasionally eat a thin slice of tomato now.

Sriracha!
On every.thing.
I just discovered its awesomeness. It adds heat to my food without altering the flavor (like that nasty vinegary Tabasco sauce does). Salsa has its place for Mexican, and breakfast..but ohhh Sriracha for everything else!

We've started roasting our vegetables. So now we eat roasted cauliflower, green beans and asparagus. So much better than canned green beans and canned corn.

A few years ago I discovered roasting vegetables and with that cooking method I've learned to eat cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, squash, zucchini. I also switched to Greek yogurt from regular yogurt recently. Oh and I finally "discovered" cherries last summer. Love them now.

For me it would be asparagus. I always thought I wouldn't like it. It reminds me of a green bean, which apparently I don't like even though I've never tried them. The asparagus was on my plate once at the Keg and I decided to be adventurous, I loved it! So next up is green beans.
And since we started doing our broccoli in the oven, we have been eating it a lot more.
