articlesNot sure if there are any other peas here in Sonoma County which has flooding in many areas. If so, stay dry and safe! I am not in a flood zone directly, but many co-workers are so our office is closed for the remainder of the week and working from home if able. Also, hoping that the areas here in town affected by the 2017 wildfire stays intact.

Ugh, is the Russian River flooding its banks?
Stay safe and have your boat ready.

Yes, the rain is pretty unrelenting this week. We are in El Dorado Hills which is east of Sacramento and we have had very high winds. Rain last night measured over 3 inches and the day before it was at 4 inches for the previous 24 hours.

Wow, are they having to evacuate people. Yes, the National Guard is here with huge tall trucks and a helicopter, plus there are many of our local Sheriff and Fire Departments that have boats and swift water rescue teams working. I've been listening to the online scanner all day.

our one friend who lives right on the russian river left town.. took 4 hours.. here in SF, the strong storm hit about midnight and we have only gotten 1-2 inches. it is so bad in marin, sonoma and north.. and the sierras are a total mess...it is so deep up there.. that a snowplow hit a car.. never even saw it under the 10 ft of snow, driver went to check on it.. and found a homeless person who was living in car and was totally buried without any way out.. reminds me of my youth in WA when we would travel the parking lot.. probing for cars with a pole, as you couldn't really see them when it snowed 6-10 ft.
stay safe...

Here in San Jose we had nothing Mon and Tues and just a normal shower today. 90 miles makes a big difference.

DD & SIL live in South Lake Tahoe and DD has been sending us photos. Asked her if she wanted to trade weather and she actually said no!
