She and her GF have been together for three years and they’ve been discussing marriage almost since they met. It was always the plan that my DD would be the one proposed to. Her ideal proposal was to be in front of the castle in Disneyworld during the fireworks. (We're all visiting Orlando in September.) However, her GF had said she objected to proposing in front of a "plastic castle".  They were doing the Harry Potter Studios Tour in London today, and DD decided a few weeks ago that she had no such qualms about faux castles, and waited until they were in front of Hogwarts before producing the ring! And of course her GF said yes.  I’m so happy for them both. I couldn’t have picked anyone better for my DD if I’d tried. They are so adorable together and her GF has been one of the family almost since they started dating. I even broke my Facebook embargo to announce my delight! |
