I am NOT going to buy! Famous last words. BTW...if you like Crafter Companions items, the USA website often has great sales. They just had a warehouse sale and dies were only $3. The website is down right now as it is being redesigned.

I do have a couple of things in my HSN cart that I've been wanting from We R Memory Keepers. I'm waiting for the $5 shipping on craft day & to see if they will be on sale or in a bundle.

I'm usually an avid HSN Craft Day shopper, but I have to say that my enthusiasm is dampened by not having received my Anna Griffin super-sale package yet.
It's not HSN's fault (it was through AG's site, not HSN), and it's not even AG's fault - she was clear from the get-go that shipping would not be as speedy as usual. Still, it's hard to think of spending more $ when I'm already waiting on a box...

If they had a good deal on the Gemini Jr. I might be interested.

I gave up on AG warehouse sales a couple of years ago. If you didn’t instantly check out, things were removed from your cart...so it was impossible to get enough in one order to cut back on shipping. For me, AG is stuck in a rut...I use to really like her stuff but I don’t do layouts with only one photo and I did so many of her card kits I just got tired of them. She is really getting shoved by the wayside by Crafters Companion on HSN.

I need to avoid this. I watched the preview of things to come on Anna Griffin's YouTube Channel and there are so many pretty dies that I would love to get. I already bought her die cut machine in November (and use it regularly) and I love this purchase. I already have a cuttlebug, but this makes cutting so much easier.
However, I just bought a bunch of new dies from Lawn Fawn, so maybe I will skip watching this...

I will be out of town for work, but so far, my job that day is going to be sitting in a hotel room. Hope the hotel has good cable.

The $5 shipping is already happening, I looked thru the HSN site and so far I am not tempted. I bought so much online at the Crafters Companion warehouse sale that I really shouldn’t buy anything. But dies were $2 and $3 and paper packs were at least 50% off.

In the above posts, "Minc Quilling Tool" is mentioned. Is that the same thing as the "We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill Starter Kit?" The We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill Starter Kit with 3 Pens is on sale for $59.99 plus $5.00 shipping cost. Can you use any graphic you have saved from the Silhouette Design Store with this or do you have to purchase special cartridges of graphics to use for it?

You can use any file in your silhouette library. The quill replaces the blade so it’s foiling instead of cutting.

Well, I just zoomed thru all the shows that were on while I slept. Could not resist the AG 3D Easter stickers. I don’t need them but they were adorable. Got the P-Touch washi tapes...BTW...I love my P-Touch....use it more than I expected. My only complaint it has so many built in functions that it is confusing,

I also bought the new Foil Quill Starter Kit! I couldn't resist. I have bee thinking about getting a Minc for awhile but couldn't pull the trigger on another large tool. This is a great solution and the price is really good, too.

There are some good adhesive deals. Therm-o-web has 4 rolls of dots, 1 adhesive runner, 1 pop dots pack, and 1 roll of foam all for $17.95. Xyron also has a couple of combo packs.

I can't decide if the cost is worth it but I'm leaning toward yes.

Does the foil quill kit work with regular foils? I have a few already that I would want to use up. eta: I bought it anyway.

I am still debating the foil quill. I have the minc, but no laser printer, so it hardly gets used. I can't tell if the quill is just a trendy tool or if it'll be around for a while (aka, it won't be at Tuesday Morning in a few months). I have a birthday coming up, so...hmm...decisions....

Craft Test Dummies did a demo on the quill. I know she wants to show how to use it as well as highlight what not to do if you decide to buy it, but her review is sloppy and poorly put together. It really makes the tool look terrible when the reality is she scaled down her bee too small on the leather, is using parts of the foil she shouldn't use which leaves blank spots on the results and isn't adhering the foil down well in any of her attempts (I get maybe once to show why it is important to adhere it down flat, but she is being lazy every time she tapes it down). It's one thing to find flaws and not highlight them if you're given something for free to review, but it's quite another to make it look like a POS when the reality is you're doing a shoddy job showcasing the product.

I also had to purchase the We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill. I didn't figure we would see it at a better price any time soon.
Leone, you sold me on the P-Touch. I have been wanting that for a while and finally gave up and ordered it also after reading that you seem to like yours.

Just watched and you're right-she doesn't really seem to care to use it properly. I did see that the deco foil probably won't work with the quill tool which isn't a big deal. I have a minc and some toner sheets (I have a laser printer but I still see black through the foil which is why I wanted to get the quill tool) so I can use the deco foil with them.

Yes, you need to use heat reactive foil. The deco and MINC foils stick to toner with pressure, temperature doesn't play a role in it sticking.
I mean, you might be able to use a toner sheet, apply a design with the quill/MINC or deco foil and then use the MINC to foil the remaining area in a different color...in theory anyway.

I just saw on Heidi Swapp's Facebook page that the foil for the Quill is thicker and heat activated. I was hoping it would be interchangeable with the Minc.

I don’t know whether the washi tape for the P-Touch works on other models. I ended up buying a lot more than planned. I got an AG card kit, a pack of Bazzill cardstock, CC purple tape runners. Sadly, I have discovered that the Xyron adhesives do not stay stuck in a Florida humidity. The CC adhesive seems to stick a lot better.

I bought the ScanNCut with an extra mat and the CC woodland critter die set. Working extra hours this week to pay for it.
