My daughter has about 4 really close friends. They are all graduating high school in may. What kind of gifts would you get them? Boys and girls. They will all be going off to college. Thanks.

I was thinking that may be the best option with all the college expense.

It gets spendy to have a gift for all the friends. My daughter graduated high school last year. For her closest friends I made candy bouquets and included a picture of the two of them on graduation day, a handmade card, and $50.

Cash. For a regular friend, we did $25, for a close friend $50

this amazes me every time i see these threads because it just *isn't* a thing in canada that i am aware of. i mean grandma or an aunt might send you a card with some $$ but no parties, no formal photos and some people give their kids graduation gifts but it really isn't the norm.
it goes to show how similar our cultures are yet there still are differences on how we handle things, i guess.
of course, to answer OP, cash always seems to be the most appreciated gift, esp for that age group!

DS's party was first of all his friends, so we matched what he was given by each of his friends families. Anywhere from $20 to $100.

If we knew they were going to college, we gave them either a gift card to Target or Amazon (for book rentals).
My son's gf got a big scrapbook of our trip to Jamaica.

Cash. We gave their BFFs $50, plus a small gift. DS’s BFF got cash and a book of photos of them together. DD’s BFF got cash and an Alex and Ani bracelet.

I like to give a gift card to the college bookstore where they will be attending. They can use it for books or a college hoodie, etc.

I gave cash or gift cards depending on what their plans were. I knew some were staying local for the community college so I gave them gift cards to use for supplies. One friend joined the Army. I will be giving him cash and stamps. I know about another that is going to college 10 hours away. I do not know if we'll be invited to a party. I am debating on cash or gas card. I kept it simple and gave $20 too everyone.

We always gave cash, and then I always made the very close friends a emergency kit. I made cute labels and put on the front of a small hinged rubbermaid container. Things inside were band aids, Tylenol, Motrin, duct tape, safety pins, paper clips, alligator clips, neosporin, ace wrap, small sewing kit, etc.

I’m going to do the frappo bottles with cash rolled like diplomas inside and a mini cap and gown on top. Not sure how much it’s going to take to fill them...

We won't give any this year as ds and all his friends are graduating and it would be just handing money to get money back. In years I don't have a kid graduate, I give between $20 and $50

Dd graduated last year.
I made 10 sets of identical gifts for her to take to parties.
Ikea large blue bags-2 each Ikea large blue bag with zipper 1 each Ikea power strip- 1 each
I bundled them up in a cute way and added a Target gift card to her very best friends.everyine joked that they got a tarp, but after move-in I got so many messages about how great the bags were.

I give most graduates cash, but I gave a more personal gift to my kids’ best friends.
I gave all my daughters’ friends Kendra Scott tassel necklaces. The stone was color of the school they were attending. Kendra Scott is big in this area so they were popular gifts.
I gave my sons’ friends throws w/ their school logo for their dorm bed and a gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings.
