I bought the kit last year, I loved that I did, but it was a huge splurge for me to spend that much on one little album (in addition to the cost of prints etc.) I don't embellish a whole ton so I had lots of leftovers too. As much as I think her kit will be gorgeous again this year, I am pretty sure I am going to pass.

I could never spend that much on one album, especially sight unseen. Crazyness.

I was planning on buying it this year. I've always wanted to do a December Daily but never have the time to prepare the album ahead of time so thought this would be great. But I think $99 is a little steep. Not sure I want to spend that much on one album. I'll wait for the pictures and see if it's a must have.

i agree that the price point is definitely steep.
i can't imagine buying a kit without photos; i have a hard time committing even with details.

I did my first DD last year in an 8x8 Christmas album that I've had for years. Honestly, I have SO MUCH STUFF that I will probably never need to buy a kit....but I'd still like to take a peak when the photos are available.

Ali posted a picture of the super cute stamp set on her social media pages and said that more pictures will be up later today on her blog. I'm sure that will push me over the edge.

I was tempted. The stamp set is cute but not that cute. It includes an album and lots of goodies but $100 is a lot if money for one album. I will be curious to see what it actually includes though. I wasn't expecting that price after the day in the week kit I was expecting a price closer to that. Oh well. I just bought a red album and will use that. I also have tons of Christmas papers and embelishments including stamps. I need to start thinking about it. I keep saying I going to do one and never do. I hope this is the year.
I am going to make up a bunch of project life type cards to make it easier as my album is a pocket album.

The last 2 years, I have made note of what attracted me to different DD kits, and then just purchased items on my own. I found I could get it for roughly the same cost, but have 12x12 papers and more personalization. I know I missed out on printables and stamps, but I use those less frequently anyways (and did choose a stamp set to buy each year).
The kits are ALWAYS so pretty at Christmas!

There are some preview photos up now. I loved last year's kit, but don't like the colors and alpha of this one. Disappointed to see the tissue confetti too. The stamp is cute though.

Darn, I wish I didn't love the previews so much! I still have lots left from last year but I don't want two back to back DDs to look so similar, you know? I wish you could buy pieces of this separately. I never used the stamps last time and know I wouldn't this time either, but I like the papers and the plastic bits and stickers. Not sure if I like it $100 worth plus shipping plus exchange though.

I don't think the price is really that bad. By the time you piece a kit you will probably be close to the hundred dollars. Your also paying for the name. I wouldn't buy it without pictures though
I watched her video for it expecting to see some shots of it. First time I've saw a video of her. It seemed awkward to me.

I bought it last year and used up almost every bit of it so for me, it was a good value. I sold the album on 2peas to someone who wanted only that and not the kit. If there was a stamp set, I sold that also but I don't remember and it's not in my house (I don't stamp).
I'm considering it. I love some of the stuff. I need some of the stuff but I'm thinking I might not get it since I have so much. I'll be looking at the pics again and again before I decide. It is the same price as last year.

I bought it, I liked the show of the papers that will be included so I went with that. I loved last years kit and ended up buying 2 of it, I really wish there was a buy option for the papers on their own though as I would buy them for sure.
2 years ago I did not get the kit and really regretted it as it ended up costing me way more to put together with all the separate postage costs. Also the effort of trying to source it all too, so this way I click order and that is it.
I am really looking forward to seeing it all together and getting to play with.
I have sold my stamp as not a stamper so that went towards the cost.
I did look around though at various DD kits on offer and while they all looked nice they just didn't fit my style, I live down under so it can not be traditional as it is all sunshine and beach here then.

I say that I'm going to do a DD every year. And every year I neglect to finish it! Despite really wanting to order Ali's kit, I think I'm gonna pass this year - I'm getting married two weeks after Christmas, so lets be honest - I'm not going to finish a DD yet again (This is mostly to hear myself out loud - so if any of you see me ordering any December Daily Kits please kick my ass!) |
