I’m looking to the peas for guidance. My household burns through charging cords for our iPhones like they’re candy! I went through every drawer to finally find one that works, but it’s dinging every little while so I think it’s dying. I know the recent bunch I bought were off of amazon and had spotty quality. Am I stuck spending $60 at Apple or has anyone found a reputable reliable place? Thanks peas!!

I have mine on a cordless charger. It doesn't charge quite as quickly as the cord, but I just set it on it and it is charged. It sits on my dresser and works perfectly.

I buy the amazon basics for iPhones with the heavy duty braided cords. Those are working for us and have yet to fail.

We are a 5 iPhone 2 iPad family plus guests plus we keep a full set in our travel bag for phones and iPads plus one for my work bag and my purse and...

I'm using one right now that we got from a Verizon store. It says "Verizon" on it and it's made for iPhones since Verizon sells them in their stores. We got it for free in the bundle that came with dd's new phone so I don't know how much it cost. But I like it MUCH better than the Apple one we had. This cord is more heavy-duty and it's longer.

Try powering down your phone and cleaning the charging port. Lint can get in and prevent charging.

Trump he Amazon Basics works great for us, but our car chargers are all Apple other wise they won’t charge at all.
My phone is always the one that can be using the same charger in the house regularly, then one day do the ring ding ding thing. Drives me batty.
I’ll blow out the port and back to normal for a while.

We use Amazon Basics chargers and a multi-port charging hub. We’ve found they seem to last longer this way vs. individual plugs in outlets.

When my dh’s phone wouldn’t charge I blew it out with compressed air (he’s got a tank in the garage). It was like magic! I’m guessing canned air would work as well. I havent had any cord issues and have never had to replace the cords that came with our phone and iPads. We have a bunch of extras since they’ve lasted longer than we kept the phones.

Is your issue that the cable no longer works? Or are you having fraying issues where the rubber is coming apart near the lightning end?
If it’s the latter, I’d recommend buying a braided cable off Amazon. Whichever have good reviews is good enough.

I've used both Anker and Amazon Basics with good results.

I have had good luck with the Anker brand, sold on Amazon. Definitely buy the braided style.

I find in our house a regularly used cable lasts a year or so. Once it has started to fail I just discard it. The Anker cables are good and I also just get cables at TJ Maxx or wherever for cheap. Cheap cables or expensive ones seem to last about the same. I like the braided ones.

I buy the cheap ones. I am currently using an iphone cord in my car and every time I plug it in it tells me unsupported and I have to unplug and replug...I think they just go bad no matter what the brand.
