I have different passwords depending on how much personal info a website has. My really important accounts (bank, utilities, PayPal, Google, Apple, etc) all have their own password. Shopping sites have a different password and I try to use PayPal as much as possible for those sites. And the password for nonshopping/nonimportant sites have another. I keep track of all my passwords using a code system.

two but different ways. I'm really liking that you can save them. I know some may say it's not internet savy but, there are so many that have so many different characters or lengths. Although with the last update it took them all off so I had to redo them.

I never, ever reuse passwords. I use 1Password to create and store passwords (and to alert me of any compromised passwords and other security issues). I've got LOADS of passwords... this includes work and personal passwords:

I have unique passwords for everything. I used to use the same password for all shopping websites...until my Walmart password got hacked and then they changed the passwords on my Target account and several others. I spent 7 hours on a Saturday on the phone unraveling that mess. (Plus changing passwords everywhere else I used the same one.)

I use LastPass and I have a unique password for every website and account I have. I change the master password for my LastPass account often as well.

I use a password generator to create passwords. I keep a password protected spreadsheet to keep them.

I have different password sets for different things. By sets I mean banking, medical records, insurance and then shopping sites and other stuff. The sets have a unique word/s and characters/numbers that doesn't pertain to anything in my life that you could figure out by knowing me or looking at my online profile. Just random.
I do have a password protected Excel sheet that I can refer back to in case I haven't visited a site in a while. But I tend to go to the same sites.
And DH knows my excel password so he can get to that info if needed.

I wish websites would put the criteria at the log-in page after you've registered. I have a main password that I vary depending on the criteria but if they don't tell me the criteria I can't remember which version it is! Say I use password123 and they need a cap, it's then Password123 or it needs a special character it's then password+123 or a cap and a special, Passoword+123, etc.... but I don't know which one it is without knowing the requirement!
I have a bunch of passwords though. Some are as above, a variation, and some are unique to each site. I don't keep up with all of them though. I need to get the app posted above.

I posted here on this very topic, about a year ago. If I recall, there were some good suggestions in regards to keeping track of passwords. Tried to find the old post but my search isn't working.
I have far too many to remember. I have all my passwords in my safe, but that doesn't help when I am at a store or restaurant and they want you to log into the app to retrieve a coupon.
The idea I like best, that I think will be easiest for me is... Same password plus first two letters of a place. So you only have to remember the same password then add the first two letters, plus whatever else is required (one letter capital, one number, one symbol). That is what complicates it all, every single place and thing, has a different password requirement.
Password would be: Michaels >> xxxxxxxxxxmi2 (number required) Hobby lobby >> Xxxxxxxxxxho (First letter capital) Joanns >> xxxxxxxxxxjo etc....
I have been saying for a year-ish that I am going to update all my passwords, but I haven't done it yet. I would email the password list to myself, then I can access it, if I need to. The main part of the password would be hidden by using xxxxxxxxxx's and only I would know what that is.

HA I have no clue.. just work alone I have to have a zillion of them... I bet I could count up to 50 of them. I have 3 completely different ones with variations of them. I tend to phase one out when getting or creating a new one. I have no tracking system.

I hate the whole password thing! I have several: One unique one for an online game I play, because that was pretty much the first thing I ever did online where I needed a password. It's not written anywhere because I won't forget it. One unique one for my credit card, which is written down because otherwise I'd forget. I figure I'm safe though because I check my statement regularly so I'd notice any fraudulent charges. Then I have my base password that I use everywhere. In my notebook I call this "the usual". And then I have variations on that base password, like if a site requires numbers in it, or capital letters. I write these as "the usual plus 789" (or whatever numbers I've stuck on to it). And last, I have an entirely different one for Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, the Washington Post... all the things that we share as a family. I didn't feel like giving all of them my "the usual". lol

If you count the ones I use for work and my personal ones - gosh - I've never counted them all but I would guess about 80-100 (no joke!)

I have a unique password for every site that has an account. All are at least 12-16 random characters long and many are longer. For websites and accounts that contain financial information, identity information, or credit card information, I change the password bi-annually. For Pay Pal, Google (personal and work), Apple, and several others, I have 2 factor authentication turned on. My husband works in cybersecurity, there is no way I could get away with any less. Adding: I currently have 316 passwords in use right now.

I have five single spaced pages in a Word doc with all my passwords and all of the security questions. I never use the same username or password twice and have a system for answering the security questions. I never answer with the real information such as your high school mascot or your first pet's name. I have so far never been hacked or had my identity stolen.

Not sure how many different ones I have. I have a system that makes perfect sense to me, so I can usually guess based on my system. PayPal gets used for questionable sites or rarely used places.

I dunno how many I have ::: sigh ::: passwords are one of my life stressor along with user names Those password storage sites scare me..what if they get hacked? then someone has all my passwords. My preference is for a small notebook. Each site has its own page with username and password. When I change the password write down the new one.

Lots. I try and have unique passwords although I do double up on some sites where there’s not a lot of personal information being stored.
