I'm happy with my toner reactive foils and regular old laminator.

Just looking for updates. Are you all using it and loving it? Cricut just today announced their own foiling tool for their machines, so I'm wondering if Silhouette will also come out with one. I really want the foil quill, but not sure if I should wait and see what else comes out.

I've used it on my Cameo 4 and the results are gorgeous!

The Cricut foiling tool will be the Today's Special on HSN on October 6th. Anna Griffin released a video preview yesterday on her blog. The Cricut tool will fit in the Explore and Maker machines and has three nibs of different widths. It is pressure sensitive rather than heat activated like the WRMK Foil Quill, so it doesn't need to be connected to a USB port. It looks like it can foil heavier materials like leather. I still use my Minc for the limited foiling I do, so I am not tempted by either tool.

Does anyone have the foil quill freestyle pens? I don’t have a silhouette or any of those machines and don’t really want one. I like the idea of being able to use the freestyle pens with stencils or stamps.

I should totally get it and try it. I will report back when I do use it.

I tried stamps. It came out good but it’s hard to cleanly follow the lines of where I stamped. I could see it working easier in a stencil where you have a wall. Also if you just write it works fab.

If you’re looking to get one on the cheap. I’m thinking about going back and getting one.

So, does this foiling give it an embossed/raised texture feel too? Or just shiny? Just shiny. It doesn’t feel embossed to me.
