I have my wedding band and some pearl necklaces, etc. that I don’t want. Is there somewhere online that buys that sort of thing?
POST EDIT: I have mentioned here a handful of times in different threads that I’m getting a divorce. I didn’t want to announce it due to the fact that my STBX’s sister is a member here and therefore makes discussion awkward. But, I guess people haven’t seen my other posts and so I’m just gonna get this over with. I’m not going to provide much detail except to say this has been a long time coming. The divorce process has been devastating. I have never cried this much in my entire life. Choose your mate wisely, kids.

If you come into Seattle in the near future, I highly recommend selling gold in person at either West Seattle Coins or Bellevue Coins (owned by the same people). If you don’t need the cash right now, I’d hold off selling though. Gold is priced pretty low right now. Unfortunately I have no recommendations for pearls or stones.
I remember you mentioning the split a while ago. I’m very sorry. Been there, done that :/

Hubby used a local jewelers for some of his mom's jewelry that no one wanted. It depends on what's important, I guess. If you just want to be rid of them and get a price for them - then those gold exchanges can be ok, or if you want them valued and in order to be getting a fair market price for them. A jeweler's is best for the latter. I hadn't seen your other posts, so I just want to say I'm so sorry to hear you've been going through such a heartbreaking difficult time.

It's not a great time to sell jewelry price-wise. Unless you really need whatever money it will bring... or you just want it gone for the satisfaction of it... I'd just stick it in the depths of a drawer for now.
And, I'm sorry for what you're going through. Any divorce, no matter the reason, is a gut-wrenching thing. We're here for you if you need us.

I don't post much anymore, Mary, but you and I have been together on this forum for many years. I have always felt fond of you and appreciated you. I am so sad that this has come to you. I know you believe in the power of prayer and in a loving God, so I will add you to my prayer list that joy returns to your life. Hugs!

A few years ago I took some to a gold/coin collectible place and they weighed it and gave me a decent amount for junk jewelry. Some peices were even broken.
I’m sorry to hear about the divorce.
Refresh my memory... were you the Pea with the beautiful house? I think it had a name? Started with a P or B? I can’t remember anymore. I used to follow your blog. Do you still have it? What was the blog called? I have THE worst memory.

I'm sorry you're in that situation.
Can you take the jewelry to a local shop and sell it to them? It's somewhat of a divorce right of passage in my town for ladies to take their rings and jewelry down to a specific local (not chain) shop and sell them.

I'm sorry you joined this awful "club" no one wants to be in. No experience on selling jewelry. If you aren't needing the cash right now, just put it all in a box and hide it way. Someday in the distant future you may want to have it refashioned into something for your girls or daughter in law to enjoy.

I think you'd have as much luck locally as online.
And I'm so sorry. I've been there myself and know how gut wrenching so many things can be. Sending much love your way!

No advice, just wanted to say I am sorry you are hurting and even though it may have been a long time coming it doesn’t lessen the pain and divorce still sucks.

No matter the circumstances, I would imagine it's excruciating on many levels.
My love to you and your family at you navigate this process.
