Hello Friday!!! Ran errands today and it was a half day for ds.
Even though it's hot (90°), I am baking gluten free dairy free chocolate chip spiced pumpkin muffins to go along with Cog au Riesling. Delishious!
So what is everyone else fixing?

As of right now, no clue. I'll be grocery shopping while the oldest ds has baseball practice. I'm hoping for inspiration at the stores.

No idea. Most likely take out. Was suppose to take the boys to a pumpkin festival with a friend but chance of rain...plus I have a lot left to do before tomorrow's show!

Chicken purloo at my house tonight. I am still feeling a bit queasy when I eat, so this will be a perfect dinner.

It's a chilly fall day here, so I put a big pot of chili on this morning.

Tonight is a YOYO night here. I went grocery shopping today so you'd think that there'd be a multitude of options. No. Nothing really sounds good either. Well pizza sounds good but I'm trying to keep it healthy. LOL

Homemade Lasagna, as in picked the tomatoes, made the sauce, lots of fresh ground beef, homemade noodles, lots of cheese - yummy!

Thanks for starting a thread while Kathy's off having fun without us. I'm going to Costco in a little while, so we'll have Costco chicken and a veggie out of my fridge. I was thinking about twice-baked potatoes, too, but it's going to be 90 degrees here soon and I don't want to turn on the oven. Maybe I'll get some sourdough bread instead. ETA I just realized there's only two of us and I can fit the potatoes in the toaster oven. Twice-baked potatoes it is.

MEXICAN FOOD! Amazingly, we've lived in San Diego - widely regarded as having fantastic Mexican food - since the end of June, and this is the first time we're going out for it. To say I can't wait is a huge understatement! (Not to mention the fact that I REALLY need a (few?) margaritas!

No idea! It's has been crazy warm here for almost the last week and should continue through next week (it was 78 yesterday). That is crazy for fall, where I live. I'm thinking a picnic outside with the boys. They will love it and I won't pass out from heat exhaustion from cooking

The chicken purloo sounds good... but we call it chicken bog around here. I am currently sipping a glass of wine and playing around on the internet while my husband cooks. Tonight he's fixing one of his specialties - a pork curry. It's smelling really good around here.

The version of perloo that I grew up with doesn't have any other meat than chicken...

Sausage is optional. There are as many different recipes for chicken bog as there are cooks who make it.
In fact, when chicken bog plates are sold as a fundraiser, the first thing people ask before buying tickets is, "Who's cooking it?"
