So what is everyone up to?
I am doing the normal cleaning and working tonight. I figured out why M and myself have been feeling like crap the last few day. We both have ear infections . He was able to get his Rx today I have to go pick mine up in the am. Since I was not going back out yesterday. So he is fast asleep and being good. I do need to try and give him is meds soon.
Talked to my mom to day and she said my aunt, uncle and one of my cousin may be her close to the end of the month..

Hi late night/Euro/Aussie Peas,
How are things? I was hungry earlier and didn't eat anything. Now i am starving.
I saw some monkey bread mix at Marshall's yesterday. All you add is water and butter (8 oz). That seemed like a lot of butter to add to a recipe. I never make cinnamon buns and have never made monkey bread in my life. Is it good? Is the mix worth buying? I put it back because I didn't think my waist line needed it.
I work all day today and am hoping it is a fun work day. Usually it is in the line of work I am in. I think it is payday too but I could be wrong. Not sure. Can't wait to see.
What is everyone else doing?

Is this not thanksgiving for canada today Next weekend. It better not be or I am in a whole lot of trouble ! And on that note I need to go to the grocery store and pickup a turkey today and then pop in to Costco and pick up some non perishables for turkey day.
After that I'm not sure, I may need a drink after Costco.

My husband has been fighting an upper respiratory infection for several weeks. He was off sick M-Th of this week, and then Friday he took a culture sample back to his dr's office to ensure dh was given the right antibiotic. The nurse made him stay and had him see another physician, thankfully. Dh has Pneumonia and has a lot of congestion in his lungs--his regular dr on Monday said his lungs were clear--I was there.
I got a little bit sick this week but have been able to stay pretty well. I do lose my voice very quickly when I get sick, but I damaged my voice a few years ago when I came down with a type of croup that mutated and had to talk anyway.
Dh and I have been trying to get out and run some errands but haven't felt well for quite a while. My doctors just confirmed I have MS this past month, and that's been pretty depressing for both of us. I can get out some, but I can't walk far before my back is killing me. Insurance won't pay for a wheelchair because I don't need it in my house... so we're trying to find a used one.
Elannah, that IS a lot of butter for Monkey Bread.
Here's the recipe I've used.
3 cans buttermilk biscuits (10 biscuits per can) * If you can't get buttermilk biscuits, frozen white bread dough works great! I prefer it. 1 cup white granulated sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon (the cinnamon most used in the States is not true cinnamon and is very weak tasting, so do this to taste) 1 cup brown sugar (maple sugar or molasses sugar, not demerara) if all you have is demerara, I'd add a bit of treacle or golden syrup 1 stick butter
Remove biscuits from can. (seriously the recipe says this) Cut each biscuit piece in 4 pieces. Mix white granulated sugar with cinnamon. Dip each ball into sugar mixture and place in 10" tube pan. When all the dough is in the pan, melt butter on stove in small saucepan, add brown sugar and boil for 3 minutes. Pour mix over dough in pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes. Let rest for 10 minutes. Flip tube pan over serving dish to let the caramel drip down. You can add nuts if you want.
*If you're using dough, you use 24 dinner rolls cut in half. Fill tube pan half way, cover with cling wrap to let the dough double. Then pour the brown sugar and butter mix on top and procede with baking. I've also done this with loaf dough and just formed dinner sized rolls myself.
There is also a recipe where you add butterscotch pudding mix along with the caramel sauce, but I'm a purist and just like the sugar/brown sugar.
