Pebbles has a new circus line (on ACOT). I think I went once when I was nine or ten... and I don't have photos.
I was just wondering if I'm an anomaly, and other people go to the circus enough to need an entire line of scrapbooking paper...
I guess I could have made a poll, but comment instead.
ETA: and the clown paper is not allowed in my house, even if they don't look like Pennywise.

Honestly, I don't think I've ever been to a circus with clowns, elephants, ringmaster, etc.

A travelling circus comes through here every few years. Dd and I took my dgs a couple of years ago. The only animals they had were horses: basically the show was made up of a lot of aerial acts, some fun clown acrobatics on the ground, and some trick riding. I used the circus collection out at the time for scrapping that. And I have used it since for a few pages (it had basic red/white stripes, teal with white stars, and a lot of bright yellow).

We took our DGD when she was 5 and again at 6. She rode an elephant!
So, 10 years ago. The last time before that was 50 years ago.

Can't say that I have ever been to one. Don't think I would have wanted to. But it can be like a circus here at work some days.

Never.
The whole atmosphere freaks me out. I don't like clowns. And I don't believe the animals are treated well enough.
But I have been to Cirque du Soleil. That was lovely.

Probably early 2000's. I've only been to two in my lifetime. I freaking hate clowns. They don't seem to be popular with all of the protests against animal abuse.

gosh....once back in the early-80s, I think, to Ringling Brothers with my family. I don't have any photos - my mum might...
Not something I have much desire to go to again.

I've never been and I don't think I would go even if I had the chance. But metaphorically I feel like the circus is still something in a lot of people's minds/imaginations. Comparing other things to a circus especially. I can't really imagine using circus themed products except perhaps in cardmaking, but they'd have pretty limited use even there. My favorite circus related thing is the saying "not my circus, not my monkeys" (from quora.com It's a Polish expression: Nie mój cyrk, nie moje małpy. Literally, "not my circus, not my monkeys." It is used when advice is given but not taken, or when an attempt to remedy a problem has failed after someone didn't listen to advice. It's a way of saying “Not my problem” with a hint of “I told you so.”)

I've been to two of the traveling Cirque du Soleil shows in the past couple years. They are not a typical circus, no animals. The first one had a steampunk theme and the second one was an ice show so I don't need circus paper for either of them.

Last time around 29 years ago. I took my husband who had never been and a clown delivered his whole act to my husband who was laughing so hard. I believe it brightened that clown’s day. I could see him loving my husband’s response. But the animals treatment was what made it be my last visit.

Long long time. Even as a kid I felt sorry for the elephants. After seeing the movie Killer Clowns From Outer Space I don’t need to see any more clowns. Terrifying.

Last time was with my kids when they were in grade school so maybe 15 years ago. I only have a few photos. DD2 had a Big Top themed sweet 16 party complete with a bounce house. Never saw a bunch of teens have so much fun being kids again! I have tons of pics for that day. (No clowns btw).

I've never been to a real circus, but I have been to the traveling Cirque du Soleil show with no animals and it was a lot of fun. I've got a couple of pictures. I did love the novel "The Night Circus" when it came out. It might fun to scrap with some of it. I've always felt kind of sorry for clowns. Everyone (including me) thinks they're scary. I'm sort of amazed anyone still chooses to be that style of performer.

I went once as a child but I didn’t like it enough to want to go as an adult. I remember liking the trapeze act and the elephants but that’s about it. I don’t like clowns not because they’re creepy but I just don’t think they’re funny.

Probably like 30 years. However I would not ever go back to a circus because from what I have read they mistreat the animals. I will not support that with my money. Although I do admit I am not truly informed but why take a chance? No circus for me.

I went maybe 40 years ago - eek.
Circus animals work well with some of my flights of fancy, though.

I vaguely remember going to one when I was around 4 or 5 years old. So 30 years ago. I always liked to watch the trapeze on the circus that was on tv though so I'm really not sure if we actually went or if I just remember things from it being on tv.
Circus lines seem like they might be more useful for party invitations and event decor than actual scrapbooking.

We have a local, traditional circus which travels around our villages every summer and which is based on a farm very close to us. But this is a "modern" traditional circus - no lions or tigers, no endangered animals - and there is a completely responsible approach to all the animals who do take part in the show, which include trapeze artists, dogs, chickens, a very funny clown and occasionally, something odd (a goose led the parade once) It's a family affair, is huge fun and very popular - we can't wait for this year's show! www.giffordscircus.com/ Would I use a circus-themed scrapbook collection to document it? Probably not - this year has a 1960's "Xanadu" theme to it, so psychedelic patterns and colours are more likely to be the base for any memory keeping.

I went as a kid; probably 40 years ago. Funny thing I sent away for each of my kids to get a free ticket for Ringling Bros. Circus when they were born. I never took them.

I love the circus. There’s one coming through town next week, and I won’t be able to go. I’m bummed!

I won't go for ethical reasons. Thank goodness more and more circuses are getting rid of their animals. They have been treated horribly!

I went only once as a kid. I have taken my kids a few times. I think a circus theme can be used for many other things though. Like circus themed parties, carnivals, Dumbo, Halloween (It), Cirque Du Soleil type shows or even fairs that have the sideshows.

I don’t think I have ever been to an actual circus in my lifetime, but we gave my BFF and her DH tickets to Cirque du Soleil for her birthday when she turned 40 and we went with them. I think it’s a popular kid’s birthday party or scrapbook crop theme though. The really ironic thing about that is the one year I actually attended a circus themed crop was the year when no one had any circus lines of scrapping stuff. My friend that was putting on the event had a horrible time finding anything circus themed for the goodie bags!

We took the boys probably about 8 years ago. I have a lot of pictures from that night. We also had a birthday party for our ODS that was circus/fair themed, that circus paper would probably work well for.

Gosh, I think I took my kids because we got free box seat tickets from a neighbor who's work owned a box. That had to have been at least 15 years ago or more. Otherwise I never been. Once we were going to go but I think it was sold out or at least that is what my dad said.. lol
