Of course I root for the 1st major league team Cincinnati Reds! We are celebrating 150 years, watching the 100th Findlay Market Parade on television right now. Johnny Bench the greatest catcher ever and the commissioner Rob Manfred are the Grand Marshall. Like a lot of kids from Oklahoma, I grew up cheering for the Reds because it was Johnny Bench's team. He is from Binger, Oklahoma.

I grew up going to games at Tiger Stadium with my dad and listening to games on the radio with my grandma. I married a lifelong Braves fan. I mostly cheer for the Braves and whoever is playing against Bryce Harper bit really I just love the game.

I'm from Colorado, so I am a Rockies fan. The rest of the family are Cubs fans, so I cheer for them as well. Baseball is the one sport where I feel like I understand the rules. It is also the only sport my family doesn't watch. I cheer for the Rockies also.

The previous time was in 1995! Even without being a Cubs fan, one can truly appreciate the history of that place. Glad they are just remodeling some but also keeping other vintage aspects.

I'm a Maryland girl through and through so it's the Orioles for me. Bummer though, our first six games are on the road against the Yankees and Blue Jays. I'm hoping those games don't define the season for my birds. You guys had a rough season last year! Also in 1979!

I love the Orioles, but they haven't loved winning for a while. Still any chance I get to go to the most beautiful ballpark in America, Camden Yards, and watch a game is a good day. It is beautiful but PNC could give you a run for the title of "most beautiful!" ![:2thumbsup:](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/zKsqKGInldFvtmx415J3.jpg) I have been to Camden Yards a number of times and it is a nice park. My guy's son lives in Cincinnati and we plan to go over Memorial Day to see the Pirates but it would've been awesome to be there for this series and the parade with all the excitement of opening day.

I love going to baseball games though. If here’s an opportunity to go see a pro ball game and experience their stadium, I am there. Don’t care whose playing. 😁 Me too, I love that I have been to a few across the US, even the ones that have since closed. I am fortunate enough to have been to 20 stadiums so far (some are no longer standing) and the Hall of Fame. I hope to add Great America this year at least.

Just changed my avatar to root for the Royals! My DH won tickets to an exhibition game between the Royals and their AAA team and we went Monday night (5 hour drive each way - ugh). It was great, we got to see two squads or Royals plus 2 squads of AAA, so probably all of their 40-man roster. Missed Salvie, though. It'll definitely be a rebuilding year for us. I took myself on a 3 city/stadium tour last summer and Kaufman stadium was my last stop. I'd been wanting to see that one since middle school and the days of George Brett. I love the scoreboard!

I used to call myself a long-suffering Chicago Cubs fan but since they won the 2016 World Series I can now just call myself a life-long Cubs fan! Go Cubs Go! #EverybodyIn I think "long-suffering" might belong to my Pirates now. After their playoff berth in 1992, they went under .500 for 20 years! Their last World Series was 1979. I know other teams have waited longer, but we're due. My mom is 83 and has followed them forever. I want one more for her!

The Tigers are our home team - the MLB keeps trying to create a rivalry between Detroit and Pittsburgh, but honestly, no one in Detroit cares about Pittsburgh and I'm sure they feel the same way. The team of my heart is the Cubs. They were FIL's team (along with the Tigers). He passed away before they won the World Series, but he has a "W" flag hanging with his memorial flag and shadow box in our living room Yes, I am not a fan on Interleague as it is so trying to make that a rivalry doesn't seem to be much anyone is concerned about.

I was crushed to be in the midst of air travel during the game today, but I hungrily lapped up video of Mariano throwing the first pitch, Voit's big homer, etc. when I got home. The biggest bummer is that the Yanks are off tomorrow, so I have to wait til Saturday for the next game! A few weeks ago, the priest at church was giving a homily and said, "Can you believe there are people who actually fall into a kind of depression when baseball season ends each fall?!" Gee, imagine that... ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/halo.gif)

Toronto Blue Jays!!! I have been a fan since their first opening day in 1978. Not sure how this year is going to go as there is a lot of unknowns on the team and a lot of injuries from spring training. Hopefully our young guys play more in the bigs than AAA. I am leaving work early so I can catch the first pitch. We are celebrating with the best pizza in town for dinner. Go Jays go!!!! So excited for this season!

Let’s go Nats! I have friends there for opening day today and I am beyond jealous! 😁 Cubs are my 2nd fav. Beyond those two teams I don’t pay too much attention to the sport. I love going to baseball games though. If here’s an opportunity to go see a pro ball game and experience their stadium, I am there. Don’t care whose playing. 😁 We do the same. We mentor an elementary aged boy and girl who play in the summer and are thrilled that we get to go to each practice and game. I love minor league parks too. My youngests bucket list is a game in every MLB stadium. We are halfway through. We cheer loudest for the Reds and Rays followed by the Nats.

Minnesota Twins! We spent a week in Fort Myers to watch them in Spring Training and will go to a bunch of games throughout the season.
DS16 is a baseball fan through and through. Every summer we try to go to a new stadium, no matter which teams are playing. This year we'll be in Florida in August, so it will either be Tampa or Miama...depending on how the trip ends up getting scheduled.

My DH's company does a charity event there each year providing dental care to underprivileged children and I volunteer for the day too. Great park, great team. And I think touring different stadiums could be very cool (and romantic).
