Great to see some chatter, I always enjoy scrappy chat. I am still working on a page, a little bit at a time. I’m hoping to finish it today and maybe even do a few more. KelleeM I’m sorry your family is going through so much ! Especially all at once. craftykitten I’m glad you’re feeling better! I’ve wanted a typewriter for quite some time. I saw some vintage ones at a yard sale last summer and Im still kicking myself for not getting one. I really don’t have space to leave it out, so knowing me, I’d probably forget to use it much. I love the look though, I’ve downloaded some typewriter fonts but haven’t used them yet.

Does anyone else feel "closed in" sometimes in their spaces? I usually do a nice good clean out/purge around New Years but this year we were gone so I didn't get it done and I think I am starting to feel effects/affects(?) of it. Today I spent all my free time purging paper, rearranging things and generally making things WAY worse than they were. Tomorrow I hope to finish it off and make it better lol. I think I may have outgrown my little space

I think I may have outgrown my little space I get really overwhelmed and can’t create when I have too much stuff. So I’ve been trying to purge for a few years now. Sadly I also enjoy shopping, so the purging is never ending. Today was a no scrapping day. I worked, took two 30 minute crossfit classes, did a 30 minute yoga class and then made dinner. I’m now in bed laying on my massage pad. I hope I can do the journaling and embellishments for my current page tomorrow or this weekend.

Another no scrap day for me. Had appointment with the accountant and one for a vehicle service, so spent most of the day in town. I did stop in at the LSS and had a lovely chat with the owner. Also bought a few things of course. Her stock is low, but while I was there she got a text that "several boxes" of product were being shipped from her Canadian distributor. She mentioned AC and one other source of the boxes. So her empty shelves will soon be filling up! I had preordered a bunch of stuff from CHA, so I have a feeling there will be a stack of goodies waiting for me next time I am in town.
I also printed some photos my dd had texted to me, one of them a really cute pic of her 6 year old showing off his missing front tooth. I have lots of other stuff to do tomorrow but if I have the house to myself for awhile in the morning, I might just get that photo onto a page!

I did quite a bit of shopping last year and really filled my space. It’s definitely overwhelming! I have been organizing a lot and it’s much better than it was. I did purge some things but mostly organized. I have a lot of page kits started too. I definitely have had an easier time this last couple of pages. I finished a 2 pager last night, and have another ready to go but I’m napping first lol woke up way too early lol. We planned on being outside and doing quite a few things with the kids this weekend, but good chance of rain means I’ll be home more and can scrap if I’m feeling up to it. Does anyone have scrappy plans this weekend?

I have a page on the go! Printed the pic’s yesterday and bought a pack of pp that works with them—cuz ya know I have hardly ANY paper here at home This morning I started cutting and inking and gluing. I still have a couple things to do to finish the page, but almost there... may do that this evening. Off for a surgical consult.

Good morning!
I’ve been MIA most of the week. I don’t get much time during the week to do much more than read posts. I work 4 10 hour days and 5 hours on Fridays.
I’m hoping to get some pages done today.

KelleeM, that sounds like a gruelling work schedule. Hope you get time to play today. I need to put together a couple of cards this weekend: 2 birthdays and an anniversary. My TE order came in and I am itching to use one of the dies for the anniversary card. And I have one more layer to go onto my canvas. My page is done. Will share later today.

Good morning from MD, USA. I hope your weekends are going (or went!) well. We had a first here in our little household yesterday. We went to a AA (I think) baseball game yesterday! I had never been to a baseball game outside of playing one season when I was very little but lots of of my favorite movies are baseball themed so it was a great experience for all of us. DS earned 2 free tickets through school and then when we got to the box the gentleman gave us another for our DD when she was talking about being so active with hockey (it was physical education day I think) so that was extra kind of him! Then DS was choosen to participate in one of the activities between innings and he was off the wall excited, DD was given a ball, they got snowcones....just a great day. BUT now I need Baseball paper lol!
Today is gloomy and wet so I don't plan on getting out of jammies. They all have swimming plans but I am just not up for that and the doggie is sick so I am on watch for that. I hope to squeeze some scrappy time in between doggy watching and Harry Potter reading (and a nap!).
HOw is everyone else? We are about halfway through.
Can I get everyone to please check in?

So far, a canvas, a page, and some cards and under 200 points for me. Most of my scrapping will be done in the week after Easter. In housecleaning mode today. Tomorrow I pick up dd and her little guy at the airport. They will be here for a week. Hope to print Easter pic's when I take them back to airport on the 23rd.
We will have 3 little guys here by the weekend, so looking forward to lots of egg colouring, basket making, treat searching and chocolate faces! We also will be baking an Easter cake AND a birthday cake. We will have two of our kids' families here for the weekend and dh's sister's family for Easter dinner.
What are your plans for the Easter weekend?

I'm still working on my double PL spread I started last week. But I think I'm close to finishing it. I have been photographing and listing my pages so far in tally thread. Now to just tally my points on each. I was away all weekend and have to come into the office every day this week, so no extra time at my desk yet

We don't have much in the way of Easter plans. We'll have my Dad for supper. Probably do a low-key egg hunt (they kids are too old, but they all still relish the tradition, so I'll do something!). We have friends coming for a day, so there will be cooking and baking and preparations for that. I think I'll make sugar cookies in egg shapes, and we can sit and decorate them while we chat.
I've been pretty occupied with work and dance so far this month, and only have 2.75 layouts under my belt. Yikes, my goal is 10!
Since I started going to the gym last October, I really notice the difference in free time... I'm proud of my accomplishment, but it sure is time consuming.

Every weekend I expect to spend lots of time scrapbooking and then do a page or two and fizzle out. I’m not happy with my scrapbooking area but there’s nothing I can do to change it. I’m feeling a bit angry and resentful because the 3 year plan for dd and dgd to live with us is fast approaching an end and they won’t be going anywhere. We know it’s best for them to be here but....warning......this is my big whine. In 2016 my dh finally agreed to buy a home. I was 54 and had never owned a home, always rented apartments. We found the perfect place for the two of us. We signed the purchase agreement on June 28 and on July 7 dd called to tell me she needed to leave Florida with the baby. The plan was for them to live with my ex but my dh decided that wasn’t a good idea (he was right). So the room that’s supposed to be my craft room is their bedroom and I have a little nook in the basement. And I don’t foresee them moving any time soon. I feel like a bratty kid being upset about this.

Same for me, sure I feel better and yea it's only a little over an hour each day. But I'm tired and yes, that hour plus does suck up the time!! If I do yoga in addition to my class then I have to drive to yoga and back, so that takes even more time.

I feel like a bratty kid being upset about this. You shouldn't feel bad. Venting is good for us. Parents do a lot of sacrificing for their kids - time, plans, money, space - it goes to the kids. And as the years go on, it begins to wear on us. We do it willingly, gladly, and wouldn't change a thing...but it gets tougher to do without being RECOGNIZED for that sacrifice. So Kellee - thanks for changing your plans and life for your daughter. You are making a huge difference to your dgd's young life and giving her a strong foundation and happier childhood. She may not understand it ever, but you are doing a very good thing.

Hey Gems. I hope you are all well and in good spirits.
I have been on sick puppy watch so not much in the way of scrappy lately. I feel as if we have a newborn in the house again.
A quick tally has me sitting at around 345 points thus far. I hope to knock out loads more this coming week as we are on Spring Break and have NO plans. we were going to travel to a friends but both kiddos are a little under the weather/allergies I think. My car was slightly yellow this morning so I think it is getting to be that time of year. We gear up with hockey and finishing some activities after break so we are going to take the break to be lazy bums. For Easter it will just be us 4 so our egg hunt, baskets, the story, and yummy food. We also have plans on making Harry Potter/Hufflepuff inspired decor for both rooms so that will be a great fun time!

gmcwife1 Thank you. It was a long week of upset tummy but he seems to be on the mend. He has a VERY sensitive stomach so we think he may have snagged something at our fire/smores over last weekend. He was still drinking/playing etc just have well the runs lol. It was not fun rushing to the door every few hours for several nights. It was like having a newborn! I am too old for that I figured out. How is everyone doing? We are on spring break here (really just a long weekend) but we are relishing it. We are soaking up being lazy sloths as my DD said. Tomorrow we will go to the Egg Scramble where there are like 35,000 eggs or something with some friends but that is the big thing we are doing this year. We go every year and it is chaotic but fun. I have put up the DIY kit challenge for the iNSD crop if y'all need a creative boost. I hope you are all well!

I try to make sure he has either pumpkin or yogurt for probotics in his food each day. But he still gets a rumble every few months or so. I'm looking forward to relaxing Sunday as we have no family plans for Easter. I need to make a birthday card for my dd so I'll get that done Sunday. Saturday I'll be tired so no scrapping that day.

Yes pumpkin and yogurt are staples here too! He just didn't want to eat We even tried white plain rice, still a no go. He seems better now and has been eating up a storm the past few meals. DS just made DH an Easter card (and I got pictures!). He was so cute!

Got some photos of "doing art" and baking a cake and the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the fire hall. Hoping to colour eggs later this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Have some photos of pussy willows my dh gathered for me and a cute little potted plant my ddil brought today. Lots of potential for scrapping when everyone has gone home.

I uploaded and printed a good stack of photos. I spent the morning organizing and scrapping, got my grandsons baby album done the other day . I have a lot of scrapping that I want to do, but I have a baby quilt I really need to get done. I’m happy to have the mojo back!! I do have a lot I can work on for the insd crop, but I definitely can’t wait that long to scrap 😂 Not sure what we have planned this weekend. We have some around the house projects to do etc. does anyone plan on scrapping this weekend?

HI! How is everyone?
I just wanted to pop in and say hello. We are getting to the end so start tallying up Gems! You don't want to wait until the last minute, it is a total fun suck I promise! I will need totals by sometime on MAY FIRST (USA). I hope that works for you all.
Don't forget to sign up for MAY!
Also I have put up a DIY kit in the General Scrapbooking (chance to win an e-gift card if you play along!)

I am taking today to relax and unwind. The last of the kids left yesterday and I didn't get home from dropping them off at the airport until evening. I took time to print a bunch of Easter and other little boy pic's before I left the city, and I have started sorting them, but have no energy to actually do any scrapping today. Tomorrow is my accountant appointment (taxes due April 30th in Canada), and the LSS apparently has received a bunch of my preorders, so I will definitely be stopping in there. Taking some time to go through the sharing thread and the Gallery today and leaving some love. Hoping by the weekend I will actually be able to do some SCRAPPING! Can't wait to see your swap items, gramma. Loved your baby album pages, @dasmith when I saw them earlier.
