Not only do they not stay put, but I can't find any blue ones that aren't glittery! This may sound sexist, because plenty of girls (my 7 yo niece included) love the color blue, but I have boys. Blue is big. Glitter is not. Make all the blue glittery letters you want, just give me some that aren't!
Or is it me and I'm searching the wrong places?

I have light blue ones in several fonts and some in navy blue. Maybe you will have to get the fabric ones and spritz them blue. Happy hunting.

I know what you mean. I was at Michaels today and was looking for gold foil alphas. They had gold glitter (I never buy glitter anything due to the mess) and silver foil but no gold.

I have some blue ones that aren't glitter but I'm with you on the not sticking part. I just automatically put adhesive on them now.

Blue alphas are hard to come by, especially navy blue. I have one Thicker set that is dark denim and I'm hoarding them! Have you tried inking the foam stamps? I just inked some of the Amy Tan thickers with teal ink (original alpha was light grey with black lines) and they turned out well. Another thought is to take a navy copic and color over the alphas. I try first on a letter that I am not likely to use.

Not really a replacement for Thickers, but I stock up on white letter stickers by Basic Grey and use Copics, inks, watercolours, etc, to turn them into whatever colour I need... I stock up on chipboard letters (Basic Grey, Heidi Swapp, etc), for the same reason... You can use embossing powder on them too... Between the price and difficulty of finding what I want (and waiting for items to be shipped and delivered), it's just been easier...
I haven't tried it but there's a scrapper on YouTube that will make multiple cuts of her title using her Silhouette, and glues them together on top of each other... It gives the letters height and they look a lot like Thickers...

Get some Prima inks. They go on like paint. Change them to any color you'd like. I just inked several blue ones that were originally a Tuesday Morning cheap find. One was pink and the other orange.

I also love the Scotch Quick Dry glue. They stick well. If you use Tear Mender, for fabric, they will never come off the page. Ever.

I've done multiple cuts of letters and stuck them together. Also cut them out of coaster board and either coloured that or added a coloured layer on top. If you have light coloured thickers you should be able to recolour them

I use glossy accents to make mine stick. I was just at Michaels today and said to myself "are all Thickers glittery" now I know the foam ones aren't big most of the chipboard ones are. If you have a Marshals ...tj Maxx check there..everyone seems to find thickers there.

I machine stitch over my thickers and also my sticker alphas to make sure they stay put.

Another thing that I do is make "faux" chipboard letters/elements. I cut out 3 letters in kraft cardstock on my Cameo, then a 4th one in the cardstock or pattern paper, glue them all together.

I cannot believe I have never thought about coloring the white foam ones. DUH!
Will just have to stock up on those. More scrappy shopping for me!

Prima inks will cover the color no matter what color they are originally. Even the white covers perfectly.

Unfortunately, I've also found few non-glittered alphas recently & blue are always elusive. I would prefer that American Crafts sell Thickers without adhesive at a lower MSRP, since the adhesive is notoriously useless!

I found the adhesive to be pretty reliable on the puffy stickers and the foam ones.

I hate that I have to apply adhesive to them so they stick.

So funny but I had never noticed this until you mentioned it, they all have glitter. I would LOVE a deep navy, I am a girl mama but I still love navy in my layouts. You would think that with the amount of navy in papers just now it would be more easier to find.

This is an awesome idea, I tend to just sew mine down now as I know in a couple weeks they will fall off in my album!!

Just adding this random rant since I worked with thickers tonight.... The fact the chipboard ones all fall to the bottom of the package and stick to one another!!!! Err I spend so much time pulling them off each other. Ok I feel better now

I never bought Thickers until I started finding them at Marshall's--I'm still not a Thicker person, I am an alphabet person. I love them because they're nifty alphabet stickers.
I love the foam Thickers, but I am not a fan of the chipboard ones for the same reason NoWomanNoCry mentioned. They don't stick well, but I have no problem putting adhesive on them if I can get them cheap!

Except for the foam Thickers, I always run them through my Xyron. Use an embossing tool around the edges before you separate the layers and you won't have any excess glue blobs.
I agree, there are way too may glitter Thickers. I don't love the foam, either.
