This one is going to be obscure, I think. I remember a Saturday morning show where the lead characters were a youngish male and female (not cartoon). They were crime fighters (I think) and in order to become the superhero or have super powers, they had to bump their wrists together like Ross did in Friends (to signify flipping you off). My brother and I did this action all of the time (in the 70's) when we were playing. Currently it means something else. I cannot find the show and am wondering if I have just lost my mind. Anyone remember this?

Wonder Twins? They were both a cartoon, and I think there was a live action version, as well.

There was a show called CAPERS where they were super hero detectives/cops but I think it was only one guy who did that. I just remember he was helpless if he was tied up.

Was that it? I only knew it as an animated show.

Wonder Twins is the only thing I can recall that was anything like that. It was more like a fist bump and they would say “Wonder Twin Powers, ACTIVATE!” “Shape of...an iceberg!” “Form of...a tiger!” They had to physically touch each other to be able to shape shift.

I remember that show! I have absolutely no idea what it was, but I do remember the wrist-bumping part and the two younger people (I want to say they were brother and sister maybe?) Now it's going to bug me that I can't remember the name. Off to do some research...

I remember all the shows listed (and now I'm humming "Electra woman and Dyna Giiiiirl!) I swear I can't recall a show like the one you are describing. I'm thinking of live action bother and sister duos and the only one I come up with is Will and Holly Land of the Lost. There was the Bugaloos, but they didn't do any sort of bump thing, they just flew around Lidsville, nope. Sigmund and the Seamonsters..nope. Captain Kool and the Knogs...nothin. The Banana Splits had little mini series, but I can't specifically remember it other than it was set on a Treasure Island and the opening credits used to make me laugh with the guy bonking his head when he was running into the cave.

It was more like the original Shazam and Isis show. They were just regular people in a very 70's setting and then they looked at each other and put their forearms together (might have been bracelets included) and got super powers. I love looking back on these shows though, man were they weird.

I hope this doesn’t go the way like figuring out the mystery of David Holmes. Why was he in Tiger Beat and 16 Magazine?

The fact is, kids don’t really watch tv anymore. My kid doesn’t and none of her friends do either. She primarily watches YouTube (mostly crafting, baking, video game or science videos) or shows on Netflix. Even all the Christmas shows we used to watch on tv as kids are on DVD now.
