When Bazzill sold sets of card bases in basic colours, I purchased base/envelope sets from them. I have been purchasing Recollections card bases & envelopes from Michaels.
The last few cards I have created, I have started with pp pads. The papers are often as heavy as cs No need to add layers and weight, b/c the front is a pretty base without adding pp, and the inside is white, all ready for the message and signature.
Just wondering what you use for your card bases?

I use the 110# Recollections from Michaels or the Heavyweight PaperSource brand from Hobby Lobby. Both are really sturdy for card bases and can stand up to any embellishments I decide to add. I also love Gina K's baseweight (which I believe is 120#) but hers I have to order. The Michaels and Hobby Lobby brand I can pick up quickly if I need it.

For white or black I also use the Recollections 110#. It's pretty inexpensive. I think 100 sheets for $14.99 US. They also have a pack called Coffee & Cream that's grey, brown and cream colored that's 110#. Same price, $14.99 for 100 sheets and you can use a coupon.
For kraft I buy the 100# Neenah Dessert Storm.
For other colored bases, which I don't use often, I buy "sampler packs" from LF, MFT (although I don't think they sell the sampler anymore)l, GinaK

#110# from Michaels (90% of the time) and 110# Neenah Solar White Classic Crest for the remainder.

I use whatever suits the card I want to make. I usually use 110 lb., but if I want to use a color of cardstock that happens to be a lighter weight, I just bulk up the front layer.
I do have and use some Recollections card bases and envelopes, too.

I started out using basic white folded card bases from clearbags but now I just use Neenah 100lb for cards I sell and 80lb for cards I donate. I almost never use color. I have bought some Michaels card bases that were 4x5.25 in kraft and cream for a couple of projects.

Whatever I happen to have at hand, in the right size and colour. Most of my non-white paper is second-hand. For white, that's usually Staples 199/gsm coverstock, or Recollections 300/gsm if I want something heavier. I don't make standard card sizes so there's no reason for me to pre-purchase already made ones.

Mostly 110 Neenah solar white or PTI stampers select white for bases. I don't often make coloured bases but if I do I usually use PTI cardstock for those as well.

Ditto mostly Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb., solar white or black. (Not Neenah Exact Index which is sold in big box stores.) But occasionally I’ll want a color. I used to use quite a bit of Hero Arts CS that was a color on one side and white on the inside. Now it’s whatever is handy and substantial from quite a few companies.
