I finished up chemo on Black Friday, my 6 week post-op was clear. Went for my three month scan and as soon as he put the camera in my bladder, I saw immediately the cancer was back. A huge, ugly mass had already grown back. Surgery is tomorrow then I go back 4/23 for the pathology results and then we start chemo again. Both the dr and I were shocked. The chemo was supposed to lessen it coming back by 80% so we did not see this coming. I'm so depressed. I know people always have it worse and I am trying to be upbeat but this is never ending. Two years and counting and I'm no nearer to beating it.
UPDATE: I had surgery yesterday, it was in a tough spot but they got it all and did a chemo wash while I was under. I’m peeing every 15 minutes and have horrible cotton mouth from the anesthesia but other than that, feel good. Now we wait for the results. Praying it’s not the real aggressive kind.
