@lisasv, a few things have thrown a wrench in my scrappy plans today. DH asked me to pick up a new beach chair for him and then a friend called and was having a very bad and emotional day and wanted me to make her a treat. So I’ll be heading over to her house with strawberry shortcake in a little while. I’m happy to help my friend and save DH a shopping trip and I’ll get back to scrapping in the early evening. That’s so sweet of you to do that for your friend! And dh too of course. I hope your friend feels better soon!

Aww thanks y'all on my photos. I despise photos of myself but my goal this year was to get some more of me. I have next to none of my mom and hate that even more. Yes LisaDV all natural curl and color. My hair is strange just a little moose and I get the curl. Let it dry and a little blow dry/brush/or flat iron and I have straight hair. I am growing it out right now with DD to donate for the third time (DDs 4th!). It is getting heavy so I hope it hurries up LOL! Here is one more, this one took a little longer! iNSD 3 by Crystal B, on Flickr

joblackford I vote for music! I love music though. If I start an audiobook I would be too into it. I put on an old show (new to me) and got caught up in it earlier. OOPS! Here are my first two layouts. Very quick unedited shots of them.

crystalb I love the hedgehogs and the metaphor, and that "be you, the world will adjust" sentiment. Glad to hear you're getting yourself on your pages, even if it's hard. Your loved ones will thank you for it. Love the under the weather page too - clever to use clouds for the journaling. Your kids in the car/sweet selfies page is lovely - good that you were able to use a car paper! I have been doing Ok with my audiobook so far - a little distracted - I forgot to edit some of the photos before I exported them. But I really wanted to find out what happened when Alma took her man into the binding closet (OK maybe that sounds a little dirtier than it was - I'm listening to The Signature of All Things, and the binding closet is a closet for book repair, although yes, some other more adult things do happen in there too! lol) I also need to listen at least an hour a day because the book is on a 21 day loan but it's 22 hours long!! I think I'll switch to music or Hallmark now. Well, once I get back from delivering some mail. Gotta get some fresh air now that the sun has come out. Back soon to take a closer look at all the work Linda has done so far. Wow! And I'll try to get something done enough to share. I'm afraid right now I'm mostly laying out the bare bones of the pages and planning to go back later to gussy them up.

I will be back later tonight to catch up on chatting/commenting. Another question for chatting: What do you have for noise inthe background while you create? right now - kids, kids are my background noise (I scrap in the family room and our house is open plan (living room/dining room/family room/kitchen)). Earlier I had Pandora on with Irish folk music playing until my ipod ran out of charge. Silence is always good too.

I despise photos of myself You would love photos of yourself compared to the one my husband took of me and my granddaughter sleeping and my hair is like bald on one side and my age spots are so pronounced. I immediately set out to photoshop it and ended up turning it to black and white and closely cropping it. When I had gastric bypass I lost a bunch of my hair and it is just growing back and is short and fuzzy in a lot of places. I pulled photos and paper for 2 or 3 layouts to do at home. I will just end up doing it in my family room because I really can't scrap at home but want to participate. I will have the TV on in the background because my husband will be sitting here watching it. Right now I am still in my work clothes and will be until I change into my PJs for bed. But normally I love to scrap in loose, casual clothes (tee shirts and sweat pants).

Elsabelle YAY you got it working. Sorry I am no help with photobucket either. I just followed the directions that DH gave me for FLICKR. I have finished 2 pages and drum roll please....they are BOTH about me!!!! WOOHOO! Got to let the dog out, stretch a bit and then back to it. How is everyone doing? QUESTION FOR CHATTING: When you are creating what are you wearing? Are you rocking "scrapbooking shirts"? (specific shirts in the theme of scrapbooking I see these at Expos and remember them from years past) My favorites are the snarky ones like "Be nice or I will crop you out of the the photos" or "Don't make me punch your eyelets out" etc etc. Or are you like me and the comfier the better? PJS, old ratty T shirt lol etc? Or do you do like my friend and are in jeans/shirt, hair done etc? Discuss! I looooooooooove wearing pjs! During the day I feel the need to wear jeans & tops, because the what-ifs of and kids possibly needing me to run out and help them, or get them from school, etc. My favorite way to scrap is in soft, loose pjs.

I will be back later tonight to catch up on chatting/commenting. Another question for chatting: What do you have for noise inthe background while you create? I like to listen to Paul Simon. Or listen to an audiobook of a book I've already read, so it's okay if I'm not paying attention and don't lose the thread of the plot.

Thank you for posting your layouts, ladies! Gorgeous work.
I currently have a 12x12 on my desk, with 5 pics adhered, and 4 blank journal spots adhered. I still need to write the journaling, and figure out how to embellish it.

Hello all! I’ll be your crop hostess tomorrow I wanted to post the daily inspiration early for our international peas. Theme: Florals Stash Item: Spring Colors Technique: Die Cuts I’ve been working on this layout and it’s still in the works but here is how I used the inspiration (so far ) hoping to finish this up tonight, I have lots of page ideas I really want to do! I wanted softer colors for this layout so I added a thin layer of white gesso(watered down white acrylic paint also works)to lighten. (Technique I’ve seen watching Missy Whidden on yt). This floral pp is from Photoplays new Easter Joy line. I die cut lots of flowers (also used gesso) I’m still playing around so I’ll post later! Don’t forget we have lots of challenges over on the challenges board, any project created is worth DOUBLE POINTS for team players during the crop. Anyone who shares a project this weekend will be in the drawing for a 10$ gc to Scrapbook.com. I will draw a winner Tues morning- Also check out crystalb kit thread, she is generously offering up a prize as well! Happy scrapping everyone!!

Grad card by d steck, on Flickr Here is my card for DD from last night. I’m still toying with fussy cutting some of the words I wanted to highlight ( like journey & discover ) which is why I bought the extra paper or leaving it as is. Last night I was happy with it how it is but now I’m doubting myself. I’m also doubting my reasons for doubting myself am I really unsatisfied with it or am I trying too hard to use the paper? Lol

I will be back later tonight to catch up on chatting/commenting. Another question for chatting: What do you have for noise inthe background while you create? My favorites Spotify playlist. It is a very random mix of about 200 of my very favorite songs. I got my first one done. It is for chinagirl blind challenge.

linda yes ma'am they are hedgehogs from the newest Jillibean release Rainbow Roux. I had to have them. I wish I had snatched up the stamps as I love hedgies! I can't believe you are done with Easter WOW! I haven't even printed those pictures. I am not a holiday scrapper though, that is really like "back to the grindstone" for me LOL! YOur layouts are all superb!
teacherlisa HI! Welcome welcome! I hope you can squeeze a few moments in
dasmith2 Girl! I was getting worried! Glad the kitty will be ok! that is a gorgeous layout so far Angie. Great job. I love your florals!
@calimom2 I hope you get some time to craft this weekend too. It is good for you!
joblackford I had to reread what you were listening to for a second! I am glad you are liking it though. 22 hours long! WOW! I hope you got some sun, that is good for you! How is the page coming along?
@calimom2 It is the newest release from Jillibean Soup-Rainbow Roux. It has a stamp set with the hedgies too! It is ADORABLE! There are so many cute cute sentiments that I try to impart on my kids about being who they are not following the crowd I may have to pick up more at the expo!
myboysnme HI!!!!!! I have missed you around here! I am sure you look RAVISHING in the photo with the new grandbaby! Will you be at Chantilly? Will I recognize you? Your layouts are awesome. I LOVE the "Avenger in Training!" I am glad you are scrapping at home!
LavenderLayoutLady I looovee PJs too. I may have a slight issue with buying them for myself and my kiddos! DS has three (very small but still THREE!) drawers for jammies and I have enough jammies to wear a clean new pair for 2 ok 3 weeks before needing to do laundry! I LOVE them! DS broke his collarbone last year so NONE of his jammies worked, he couldnt put shirts on so we **had** to buy zip up what is now called union suits (big footed onesies). OF course the girl had to have some too. That was all they got for all holidays all last year. I think they are set for a while! LOL!
hop2 I like your card. THe owl is adorable!
jeremysgirl awww look at that cute pup!!!!!! I love the picture! Great layout!
SHEW! You ladies are rocking it!!!!!
Remember if you are on a team all creations are DOUBLE POINTS this weekend!!!! We are just getting started so come on in and get that mojo flowing!

I’m here! I was supposed to have all weekend to myself (boys going to their father’s) but he changed his plans and now I have the kids all weekend. I’m making the best of it and will scrap as much as I can!
It’s been a long week and I need a sketch to get my scrappy mojo flowing. I’m off to check the challenge board!

jeremysgirl I love your layout - that cute doggy smile! I'm amazed by how many layouts have already been shared. I haven't started scrapping yet but am printing out some printables I bought earlier this year and have done nothing with. Then my plan is to print some photos and build some page kits using my scraps which are at maximum capacity.

Aww thanks y'all on my photos. I despise photos of myself but my goal this year was to get some more of me... You look super cute! I'm trying to get more pics of me in my books. I have so few from my young life, and I want very much to correct that, even though I'm over the hill now. Yesterday DD took what was possibly the most ridiculous picture of me. We were on the sofa and I was laying my head on her lap. She put her phone above her head in order to get us both in the shot, but the resulting pic had her looking cute as ever and me, much farther below her, looking like a shrunken head. It's hilarious and embarrassing, but it'll end up in my book anyway!

craftymom101 90?!?!? Well we did get to 87 earlier this week so not too far off. Pools are not open here yet so my kids are hanging out on the trampoline or inside due to allergies.
Chinagirl828 isn't it awesome, all the sharing. It really motivates me. I hope you make lots of yummy kits with your scraps. THat will be what I do after this weekend for the Expo next month!
myboysnme I will be there! I am unsure of cropping, I @decide that day (anxiety and all). I will look for y'all if I do end up cropping! Was it full last year? Yes it is always mine and your sweet friends birthday!
jeremysgirl I don't much about the Scan and Cut but I bet you could figure it out! I bet it is one of those things that seems WAY more intimidating than it is...like public speaking for most folks. I started with the originial Cricut (baby) way back when. When I was pregnant with DS (so circa 2012) I was fed up with the lack of customer service and cartridges with it all and took them plunge with the Cameo. I just upgraded that one last year I think to the Cameo 3.....still have the Cameo just in case! It gets a work out for end of year teacher gifts, coach gifts, birthday and Christmas gifts but for some reason I never take it out to scrapbook which is why I bought it!
msliz I think that photo sounds awesome. I have finally gotten to a place where I can mostly laugh at myself (on most days) so I probably would have caught a cause for the snortles(snort laughs) with a picture of that. I am glad you are putting it in your book!
hop2 if you need help with the Cameo I am here! Eagle Scout...impressive. I have a Tiger scout!
