what are the chances you will find the same thing at Marshall's or TJMaxx? I found 2 baskets that are perfect, except I need a third one. Isn't that how it goes?

Depending on how badly and quickly you need it, you could post a pic and we could check our local Home Goods and pick one up for you then mail it.

Ours are right next to each other and I rarely if ever see the same things. However, I'd still take a look for something like a basket. Can you ask them to look it up in their system to see if any other homegoods within driving distance have one?

I have seen the same baskets and vases at all three stores, so I'd say it's worth a try.

I believe if you have the tag on it they can check for it at other locations. I'm not sure if they ship or not?
I have found the same items at other of the same store, different locations/states in the past.

I have a set of the candlesticks, two from TJ, one from Marshall's. I see the same stuff in all the places all the time.

I found a great deal on one of those huge glass hurricane vases that Pottery Barn was selling for $100. I needed two, so I sent a photo to my mom. She found another one and brought it with her next time she came to visit.
I've noticed that Homegoods/TJMaxx have a lot of the same household and entertainment dishware, etc. from store to store.

I've never been to Home Goods but have seen the same items (clothing and other things) at Marshall's and TJMaxx.

I have it on good authority that you can find duplicate items among the 3 stores (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods). However, the stores do turn over very quickly so the item you are looking for, if it was in more than one local store, may have already been purchased. If you can't find what you're looking for, post it here... It's bound to turn up somewhere! (DH works at the TJX corporate office. He is actually on his way home from a business trip for them right now!)

I found the perfect cloth bins at TJ Maxx... I wanted as many as I could get, so went to 4 different TJ Maxx stores and found more in 3 of them. I also went to 2 Marshal's and 3 Homegoods, but they didn't have that same pattern. I thought there would be more crossover, and there were certainly the same exact sizes/shapes that I was looking for, but not the same patterns. Don't know if this would apply with wicker/woven baskets, but I would probably steer your efforts towards hitting all of the locations of Homegoods you can first, before your item is sold out (because you know how fast things disappear and will never get restocked!), then try the other affiliates as a Hail-Mary, without investing too much hope |

Okay, can't figure out how to post a photo from my phone. Can I describe the basket for anyone willing to look for me? It is a rectangular basket, 11 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. It is divided into 3 sections. It has a black tag that says DESKTOP ESSENTIALS. The compare price is $8.00, and it sells for $5.99. Thanks!

I've seen the same product - clothing, housewares, lamps, etc. - available at all three stores. I suggest calling the HomeGoods where you purchased the baskets & request they search the item number. It's possible the same store or maybe an another HomeGoods in the area received more of your desired baskets this week. Also, ask whether its sister companies - TJMaxx & Marshalls - use the same item number, then call them if applicable. If you find the basket in stock, don't forget to get the employee's name & request that s/he put it on HOLD behind the cashier counter; otherwise, it may be gone when you arrive! HTH & best wishes.

I'm new to the forum, but if you want to post a picture of the baskets you are looking for I'll look around in my area! I'm running into the same problem, but with pillows. After 3 years of searching I finally find the perfect pillows for my couch, but the store only had 2, and I need 4. I called 4 Homegoods, 4 Marshalls and 4 TJ Maxxs, in RI and MA, with no luck. I even tried a store in CA! Here's a picture of the pillow and the tag. The back of the pillow is a deep plum velvet, 24" square, by Canaan Company, Fresno CA. In my Homegoods they were $24.99. If anyone can help me out, I'd sure appreciate it! Let me know if I can help you!
