Ugh, the BBC says that within the next 48 hours a June state visit will be announced. No details yet on what treatment he’ll be accorded. It will coincide with a visit to France. I, for one, don’t want him here.

Any bets on what social graces, royal protocols he will fail to do this time?

Has he run afoul of any UK banking laws with his money laundering activities? Apparently we can't indict a sitting president, but I don't see why you can't. Send the cops around to pick him up for questioning and keep him indefinitely.

Send the cops around to pick him up for questioning and keep him indefinitely. We could trick him into visiting the Ecuadorean embassy - I bet they would be throwing him out within a couple of days. No sanctuary there. Why the hell has he been invited again anyway? Nobody wants him here!

I, for one, don’t want him here You and probably 90% of your countrymen! I'm a bit surprised...why is he even coming? France is having enough problems of their own, and Britain is still trying to negotiate brexit...who has the time or the inclination to make nice with Trump? It's not like spending time with him will help in anyway, they can't discuss politics in any meaningful way and he'll just spout a bunch of nonsense on how to deal with their various issues that will be of no help whatsoever. None of the Royals will be interested in meeting him, like the last time where he got the bare minimum time from the Queen. That fool is a burden on everyone wherever he goes and a massive liability for the USA as he just embarrasses himself and them by association.

Please, please, please can he be thrown in the Tower of London until he pays the monies owed to the Scottish government over losing his wind power lawsuit?

I keep hearing King George singing, "You'll be back, time will tell ..." It only took almost 243 years, but here we are, begging the British to save us from the mess we've made.

pjaye it’s to celebrate the 75th anniversary of D Day. And although we don’t want him really, if we can find some legal way of keeping him incarcerated I promise you’ll all be the first to know!

I needed to read and check a bit more of this and......... Most reports lead back to the White House statement put out earlier that DT is planning on a state visit to UK. I'm taking solace from that. Do the WH realize that there is a big difference between a STATE visit and a visit to join in the 75th anniversary of D Day landing? I don't think they do. It wouldn't be them that would invite themselves on a STATE visit it would be the other way round. It would also be protocol that it would be Buckingham Palace that would make the first announcement not the WH.
Quoting the Guardian here "It is unusual for a state visit to be announced at such short notice, and details of the visit have yet to be finalised with fewer than six weeks to go "
This gives a bit more comfort as we can't really stop him ( nor should we ) to come over to join Britain and France in the 75th anniversary. I just wish they would send someone else to represent the US.
I'm hoping that this is the case and that it will not be a STATE visit.

This won't be a win for Theresa, I can see the headlines " You can keep this promise but not Brexit"
I'm going to assume Extinction Rebellion will be out in force.
