Mine are old fashioned iced oatmeal cookies. In my store they’re usually store brand/generic. They remind me of being at my grandmas house when we were little. She always had these and iced lemon cookies.

Tate’s chocolate chip cookies. Even better when the package has been open a few days and they start to get a little chewy!

I love Costco's chocolate chunk cookies.
My paternal grandmother had these hard oatmeal cookies. They were rectangular and sort of corrugated on the top. It's one of my few memories of her. They were not good, but make me smile when I see them.

Chips Ahoy are my budget favorite. I got hooked on them at Costco and then they stopped carrying them for awhile and I had to hide the expensive packages when I found them elsewhere. Out Target has Tiny Tate’s in the checkout lanes which are also delightful 😂

Keebler Danish Wedding Cookies have been my favorite since I was a child. They are a lot harder to find now, which is probably a good thing! A close second are the double stuff Oreos. Mine are old fashioned iced oatmeal cookies. These are the cookies that DD insisted had to be left for Santa every Christmas Eve! They really are good, but now that she's grown they bring back fun memories of Christmas.

Costco sells all my favorites: David's Butter Pecan Meltaways, Laceys, Sugar Bowl Palmiers, Royal Danish Butter Cookies and Costco's European cookies in a tin.

I like the Newman's Own Oreo-like ones. They're so much better than real Oreos.

I like to bake so I make a lot from scratch but I won’t pass up a store bought cookie. I can’t really think of ONE that I could really call my favorite though. I like Lofthouse, Golden Oreo with the double stuff, mini Keebler m&m cookies that come in the little packs, and those specialty flavor Voortman wafer cookies (we have had coconut, s’mores, caramel, lemon, strawberry-banana and all have been good). And kelly8875 I make those old fashioned iced oatmeal cookies from scratch with a recipe I found on Pinterest. They’re not hard to make at all. If you think the storebought ones are good, you should try the homemade ones. They are soooo good!

My dh likes chips ahoy when we go camping. dd loves oreos. I like the samoa-like ones at Aldi's. I think Keebler has a similar one too. I'm not too fussy when it comes to sweets.

jenjie, No, but that's a great idea! We have used the Keebler fudge striped cookies for that. Yum!

I don’t tend to buy a lot of store bought cookies for some reason, but I will always eat them if they are around. But if I do I get Nilla wafers, lofthouse sugar/frosted cookies, or a maple creme sandwich one. my grandmother was a great baker but also always had store bought cookies around. The frosted oatmeal ones, these hermit type windmill ones, and fig newtons are ones that she had a lot. My least favorite cookie is a chocolate chip. I would absolute love homemade ones if they didn’t have the chocolate chips in them. Hummm...I will have to try that sometime. ETA - the windmill ones are just a crisp spices cookie I guess, not like a hermit at all. Archway has some but I think my grandmother always got whatever one the store had.

Mine are old fashioned iced oatmeal cookies. In my store they’re usually store brand/generic. They remind me of being at my grandmas house when we were little. ^^^ oh, this is a nostalgia cookie for me, too! I don't buy cookies very often, because I would be the only one to eat that kind of cookie- but I remember the same thing-- they're nice and crispy. Another cookie I absolutely LOVE, but they're hard to find, is the store brand coconut cookies- they're typically rectangular and flat with ridges across the top (picture something like a peanut-butter cookie flattened with fork tines, only rectangular in shape). They were my FAVORITE. We always bought cookies like these (or the 'mixed' package of store brand cookies) when we went on vacation to Minnesota in the summer, so these cookies remind me of summer vacation memories. My absolute favorite cookie ever is Rippin' Good Carousel cookies. Tiny sweet animal-shaped sugary cookies enrobed in white and (shockingly) pink icing, with sprinkles... YUM!! I used to eat most of a box of them in one sitting. Made in Ripon, WI. I'm not even sure they make them anymore. And they are NOT the same (IMO, anyway) as the frosted circus cookies you see in stores today. ETA: ooh, I forgot about those Lofthouse cookies- they are addicting!! so soft, and pillowy- a cross between a cookie and cake. YUM. I found a copycat recipe for them- and the icing- somewhere but haven't made them yet, because I'm afraid I'd eat them ALL.

I never buy cookies because if I do, I can down a package in record time. If I do, it's Caramel Tim Tams or Nutter Butters. Both kinds of Nutter Butters will do, but the sandwich ones are my favorite. I scoff at the 2 cookie serving size.

Peek Freans Assorted Cremes! We used to fight over the fruit creme when we were kids and I had no idea you could buy a whole box of just them. A close second would be chocolate covered digestives.
