I'm thinking they could be really great for autumn and Christmas cards. I'll take trees over mermaids and unicorns any day of the week!

I justpurchased that looking through the trees stamp set along with couple other stamps and dies from new pinkfresh release. And now I am patiently waiting for that tree stamp to come back in stock at the greetery.

I don't know that they are necessarily a trend. As scrapaddie said, they seem to be a constant. Trees are versatile. So are leaves, vines, and flowers. I think the stamp shown is from a fairly new company? It makes sense that they would include versatile stamps such as trees in their initial line up, and they go well with the stamps of the people for creating a scene.

I don't know if they are a trend either, but maybe some stamp companies are becoming more creative and coming up with very cool stamp sets. I bought the stencil from The Greetery (the stamp sets were sold out, but have been added to my wish list for when they come back in stock). Trees are so versatile. You can use them for sympathy, birthday cards (for husband, boys or men in general). Also will work lovely for the fall/Thanksgiving Holidays... even Thank you cards! I really love a good tree or leaf stamp set!

I think trees are very versatile as well. Agree they're not necessarily a new thing but perhaps are being done in slightly new ways. I like the look of Through the Trees as well, but try to avoid buying $24 sets.
