I love to cook. I don’t think Whole30 is about cooking though. I think it is food prep and fueling your body. So that’s a bit of a struggle for me.
I’m 8 days in and would love meal ideas. Does anyone have some favorites they could share! Or even Pinterest pages they follow. I’d love options!

I agree with Nom Nom Paleo - she has a whole section of Whole30 compliant recipes. There are also several Whole30 cookbooks that are quite good.

Whole30/Paleo Pinterest is a mix of Whole 30 and paleo recipes. There are definitely some non-compliant recipes, my assumption on the ones that aren't compliant are that it would just take a little tweaking to make them compliant.

One Whole30 favorite of mine was always Nom Nom Paleo’s kalua pig. I would make a big batch and eat it lots of different ways. It is even good for breakfast with a fried egg on it.

I remember loving egg roll in a bowl and chicken cacciatore when I did Whole30. I saw some frozen meals that are complaint recently I wish they had those when I suffered through W30!

Try regular food that happens to be compliant, too, like kabobs, beef stew, or even chicken soup because a bunch of faux-food recipes that are stand-ins for the real thing just suck and cost so much in premium ingredients. Hope that helps.

Hope that helps. I agree with this. Also pot roast and roast chicken are compliant. Roasted veggies are also good

Chicken sausages, bell peppers, onions, and potatoes. All cut into chunks and roasted. Enough for dinner and leftovers for lunches. Sheet pan fajitas. Chicken, cut into strips. Bell peppers and onions. Put all into a bowl and mix up a taco/fajita spice mix. Drizzle some avocado oil over the cut up stuff. Sprinkle the seasoning mix and spread out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Cook at 375 until chicken is done. Nom Nom Paleo has a great avocado crema to put on it. I use lettuce leaves like tortillas or make a bowl with cauli rice or lettuce. With avocado ranch dressing. Grab the pulled pork at Sam's. 2# for $10. Totally compliant. You can heat it up and use some of it with compliant bbq sauce and serve it with slaw and potato salad or a baked potato. Then the next couple of days have pork carnitas with spanish cauli rice. These meatballs are so good. Healthy Little Peach meatballs. I serve them in a baked sweet potato. All of these can be made ahead of time for prepping. They are also really good. Prepping is key in W30.

Hope that helps. One of the “rules” of Whole30 is actually that you don’t make substitute recipes that stand in for noncompliant foods. Pancakes, cookies, baked goods, none of it is compliant even if it is made with compliant ingredients. It means that not all recipes marked paleo are compliant is all.

I was referring to what's in the book primarily, like the coconut ranch was terrible, or the stuffed bell peppers with squash was so weird. I remember wishing I had just made patties out of the beef and sauteed the vegetables.

Just bought the ready or not nom nom paleo cookbook and am in love with these recipes and their humor and writing style. Wanted a less restrictive Keto that my DH might get on board with and stumbled onto this book tonight so of course came here to do a search and found this thread. Actually excited to go grocery shopping tomorrow!
