Cleaning the bathrooms (either in full or touch ups, specify) Deep cleaning right before we have guests, touch ups every morning and evening. I'm fidgety and put a few things away and wipe counters often. Vacuuming rooms with carpet My bedroom once a day or every other day. My assistant sweeps my office on Mondays. The other carpeted rooms are upstairs and I don't go up there. I'm guessing they only get swept when I nag him enough. Sweeping/mopping hardwood/tile etc floors? Everyday. 4 dogs, lots of hair. I still can't keep up. Wiping down the outside of kitchen appliances (stove, dishwasher, refrigerator etc) Once a month or so. The stove gets wiped down each time I cook. I am the dishwasher and I shower everyday. The fridge stays covered in magnets and crap and doesn't get wiped down nearly often enough. Cleaning the inside of microwave, refrigerator, oven Microwave I wipe down every night before bed, it's just routine. The fridge gets a clean out/scan/wipe down on Sunday nights b/c the trash dude picks up on Monday mornings. I use the oven very, very rarely. So rarely that if I'm being honest I don't think I've cleaned it since we moved in. Cleaning the kitchen sink Every time I do the dishes and before bed. Wiping down the baseboards I vacuum them once a week or so, I wipe them down before I paint. Washing the windows Nope. Cleaning/polishing the kitchen cabinets Nope. Dusting furniture/flat surfaces and knick knacks Once a week.

We try really hard to keep things clean as we go and actively prevent messes. Working more than full-time with a busy teen and other activities means weekends are the only free time. And, I am determined to have downtime at least one day each weekend. So...
-Cleaning the bathrooms (either in full or touch ups, specify) Wipe down continuously and deep clean about twice per month
-Vacuuming rooms with carpet Daily, with 3 cats
-Sweeping/mopping hardwood/tile etc floors? I vacuum them daily and wash as needed
-Wiping down the outside of kitchen appliances (stove, dishwasher, refrigerator etc) As needed or during downtime when cooking
-Cleaning the inside of microwave, refrigerator, oven Microwave, almost never. We cover our food. Refrigerator, wipe out as needed. Oven, self-cleaning. -Cleaning the kitchen sink Nightly with dinner cleanup
-Wiping down the baseboards hahahahaha, I vacuum them if or when I notice they are dusty.
-Washing the windows Nature washes the windows. Inside smudges, as needed.
-Cleaning/polishing the kitchen cabinet Same as appliances, done as cooking when waiting for the next step, as needed.
-Dusting furniture/flat surfaces and knick knacks When I notice things aren’t the color they used to be.

Wow, I feel like a real slacker compared to some of you! Oh well. We can sit on that bench together! I would be more interested in whether any of the people who clean stuff daily are also working full time jobs. I cannot even imagine doing all of that stuff so often!

I cannot even imagine doing all of that stuff so often! i work with someone who loves her job and loves to clean. If she’s not at work she’s home cleaning. She doesn’t watch tv or surf the net or read or have any hobbies other than work or clean. Her house is spotless always.

Cleaning the bathrooms (either in full or touch ups, specify) deep clean weekly. Wipe up much more often
Vacuuming rooms with carpet weekly Sweeping/mopping hardwood/tile etc floors? weekly, although I do a quick vac more often. I use a swiffer wet jet to mop up the odd spill, but the house cleaners do a full floor wash monthly Wiping down the outside of kitchen appliances (stove, dishwasher, refrigerator etc) house cleaners do this monthly. I do an interim wipe down if needed. Cleaning the inside of microwave, refrigerator, oven when needed Cleaning the kitchen sink every couple of days, although I do a quick wipe daily Wiping down the baseboards thank goodness for house cleaners!! Washing the windows house cleaners do the inside monthly. We wash the outsides once per year Cleaning/polishing the kitchen cabinets house cleaners do it monthly Dusting furniture/flat surfaces and knick knacks weekly

Thanks for this thread OP because I got off the couch and got several things tidied/organized/put away and got the vacuuming and dishes done. I have someone coming to interview as a pet sitter tomorrow so I wanted to at least give the impression that I'm not a total slob. I would like to hire a cleaner but my schedule varies and I need to sleep during the day often, so I don't even know how to set it up. Plus I struggle with the idea of paying someone to do something I can perfectly well do myself. But it would certainly be worth it, even if she only did the floors that would be a huge help.

I don’t have a paying job. I don’t have a cleaning schedule. The kitchen gets cleaned just before the World Health Organisation gets called in. I vacuum when the dust bunnies start to have babies. I wipe the bathroom sink and toilet every day (I’m not a complete animal ). Seriously, I clean things when they need it. I know cleaning things before they need it makes more sense, but I actually don’t care that much. (My house isn’t dirty, honest! It’s just that since I was diagnosed with RA, deep cleaning is not high on my list of priorities. If something causes pain, then I minimise that activity.)

I don't think I've ever "deep cleaned". To me, that sounds like crawling around and reaching under furniture. I only do that at the request of the dogs, when they indicate something of importance (to THEM) has rolled under the couch.
I can't remember the last time I dusted. But I *DO* spray and clean the horizontal surfaces in the kitchen.
Sometimes I feel like cleaning my fake wood floors is like 'dusting' a giant piece of furniture that I walk on.
