This is my LO for Sketchy Saturday May 18. I used the 'Summer Vibes' kit by Bella Gypsy. I was almost finished the LO and went back to check the date that the photos were taken, and realised that they were taken well into autumn - all of a sudden my title about summer didn't really make sense! Ah well, I quite like it so I don't want to change it now. ComplicatedLady, I love the band of color with the photo going across the page in “tiger” and the tiger print paper. (when you read this, think Tony Tiger from the old cereal commercials) Great color scheme! grammadee, iNSD layout – Gorgeous page. I love the paintbrushes and doilies and the title work is phenomenal. Love that you used the 2peas cards and really love those fantastic t-shirts made by the talented justjac. kitbop, oh the spiders on the bridge. Love the title and why it’s there. But the page is just lovely, especially for being about spiders. Perfect choice of pp and embellishments. AussieMeg, I wanted that kit but didn’t get it. I may have to rethink that now. Your layout is beautiful. I love the colors and the title, the stitched circles, the clusters, everything!

AussieMeg, I wanted that kit but didn’t get it. I may have to rethink that now. It was on sale during iNSD. If it hadn’t been just before payday I would have bought more. I’ve got about 6 Bella Gypsy kits on my Wish List. |

Okay, I EARNED the right to scrap this morning. Have spent two days tidying and sorting my scrap crap (errr… my scrap TREASURES). AussieMeg - LOVE the summer story layout - the curved title, the big circle - such a fun layout justjac - swinging - I loved how you framed the photos with the embellishments! remember - lovely colours - I really like the broad stripes of green and blue in the background - is that mixed media? no thank you - sweet photo and SO much journalling (I can't read it but you've obviously told the story!) grammadee - love the summery colours and the use of scraps! justjac - awesome title for peasants - the embellishments are great! loved - beautiful - soft colours and all the hearts are perfect! dasmith2 - I love the colours on mouse escape - and I'm with maggie - no escaping mice please. the rainbow of hearts on so pretty is great and works well with the background pp love the photos on say cheese - the cluster of embellishments works well.

Just got a chance to get back here. Linda you have been busy! First batch: Love the soft greens and the banners on Thinking Day. Great idea to include the badge--or a photo of it--on the Firearm training page: great selection of photos, too, to get the whole experience. Speaking of photos, that one of your dd feeding the apple to the horse is a classic! And I love that little horse sticker with its yarn (?) tail! Love the gear pp on the Mosh page, and that cute little 3-D sticker really adds to the effect of the page. Second batch: I like the action shots on the camp cooking page. Also love the cooking pot sticker and the multicolour title: are those little ants? I like the complimentary colours of the two judicial pages, and I like the way the flowers and the swoopy border draw the eye to the photos. Third group: That Get Air activity looks really fun, and I love all the action shots. I like how you picked up the bright greens on the lunch page, yet how you softened it up with the peach plaid. Again: great selection of shots on the My Art pages. She is going to LOVE going through this book and reliving all those memories! Awesome page with the vest. She earned SOOO many badges: shows how hard she worked. Great that you had her model front and back. And I love that cute little vest embelly at the bottom. |

linda - I am loving your current batch of layouts because of the colours...you always choose excellent papers/backgrounds to go with your photos, and this subject is no exception. I especially love "my art"! grammadee - what an exceptionally beautiful card! The dimension is wonderful and the flower garden is so very cheerful (we're dreary and drab, woke up early to a hearty thunderstorm...I needed a garden!) 2marbles - I love the wavy top/bottom borders. When I did my last layout and chose the top/bottom border idea, I tore the edges for some interest, but I like the waves even more! Thanks for the idea  Also, the flower cluster with the overlying outline is gorgeous.
