This is another one for the 'Old Photos' challenge - the photo is from 1915 or earlier, so well over 100 years old. The little boy in the photo is my grandfather. This was a fairly quick page to do because I used a template (Layer Works No. 775) and kept most of the elements the same - I did none of the hard work on this one, it's all thanks to Studio Double D. The papers are from the Shabby Chic kit by Ooh La La Scraps.

AussieMeg, Pack up your troubles: This page is beautiful. You’ve added such beautiful touches like the doily bit at the bottom, the stitching all around, the floral cluster and the sheet music to top the photo mat pieces. However, it’s your journaling that is the star; it is so moving, and I love it! Family Portrait: Wow! This is gorgeous. I love absolutely everything about it. Off to Fave. Graduating Class: Terrific colors, clusters, and layers. Beautiful page. Treasure these Days: Beautiful blending of the background with wonderful elements and layers. Love the journaling.
grammadee, ranch card: It’s so pretty. I love the rope, horses, scenery. Well done!
justjac, Christmas Morning Magic. How clever to enlarge the geo tags and make them into a flower and photo frames. Those penguins are adorable. Tricky: you look fabulous as does this page. Funny I would have thought you cut your hair too. You have done an amazing job with the layers and clusters on this page. Fantastic! Where is She: These patterns are perfect. Retro enough for the photo but you’ve put them together in a way that they should stand the test of time too. Fabulous clusters and layers again. I love the huge butterfly and that purple flourish frame (perfect juxtaposition of color). Chocolate: Gorgeous page. I love the center vertical band with the large photo on top and multiple small photos on the bottom, that chocolate font and the hearts. Again fabulous laytering and clusters. Mountains: Another Gorgeous page! I love the colors and the woodgrain and the treatment you id to the interior. Wonderful clusters. Lovely photo. Photo Class: Great photos and elements that help to tell the story. The Good Stuff: I thought that was why we traveled, for the food. Wonderful page. Looks delicious. Love You: awe! Beautiful page. I love that background paper. Pack your bags: Beautiful pages. Love the elements that help to tell the story.
Linda, Morning: Gorgeous photos, I love the vertical strips you’ve made with the title and the photos. USS Stethem: Fabulous use of the water pp for the background. Stethem Coin: Love the dark pp with the small white border at the bottom. Those small nuvo dot corner piece really defines it. SuperHero: Beautiful colors and design. If I can find a photo, I may try to scraplift this one today. Yum: Fun page. Okinawa Souvenir Shop: Beautiful page, but eww! Again with the snakes! Give a girl some warning. Shoes: I love this page. I think you did a fabulous job, as always, with the colors and the elements. If I don’t scraplift the first one, I might do this one instead.
kitbop, The view in north bay: Pretty pages. You did a fabulous job fitting your journaling into your space. I love the little clusters and the circle elements on the diagonal across the middle.
teacherlisa, Chapter Page – Brothers: Awe! So sweet. Love the use of the large photos on your chapter pages. Chapter Page – Josh & Tannia: Beautiful. Spring Pocket Pages: Beautiful mix of fabulous photos and pretty pp/jc’s.

I did stamp the background of this one, but the paint swipes came on the background paper. Vicki Boutin's mixed media paper pad is amazing. I Miss These Women Points: 1 layout, 1 share, 2 generations, flowers, PL, 2 mix it up, stamp it down, 5 hearts, handwriting, single photo love, selfie, descriptive title, shape up, wood, =20
Love the big fire truck on that page! Also love that you matted the photo block in red. Was there a fire in his neighbourhood that there were so many on his street? Sorry, again, I can't read the journaling.
I am not a sushi fan, but that salmon roll looks delicious! I love that you used a salmon coloured cs, and your little Asian quisine cluster.
You have done a great job of scrapping the non scrapable pages! I love the red mat for the running shoe photo, and the dots behind the coin collecting photos.
The plaid with the green on the dinner page really works well together and I like that you have photos of the food on the stove and on the plate.
The Letter of Appreciation page looks very formal--as it should!
How many pages have you finished this month? Must feel great to be done his album!
Thanks grammadee - that flowery background paper is from Photoplay's Paper Crane collection - DS leaves Japan next week so I'm trying to work my way through the remaining Japan-themed scrapbook stuff and get it used.
Not 100% happy with this page but the photo really didn't give me much to work with.
I scraplifted this layout. I really wanted to stay more true to the layout, but I didn't have the right kits (supplies) to make that happen. But I will do this design again when I have the right pocket cards.
