This is another one for the 'Old Photos' challenge - the photo is from 1915 or earlier, so well over 100 years old. The little boy in the photo is my grandfather.  This was a fairly quick page to do because I used a template (Layer Works No. 775) and kept most of the elements the same - I did none of the hard work on this one, it's all thanks to Studio Double D. The papers are from the Shabby Chic kit by Ooh La La Scraps. AussieMeg, Pack up your troubles: This page is beautiful. You’ve added such beautiful touches like the doily bit at the bottom, the stitching all around, the floral cluster and the sheet music to top the photo mat pieces. However, it’s your journaling that is the star; it is so moving, and I love it! Family Portrait: Wow! This is gorgeous. I love absolutely everything about it. Off to Fave. Graduating Class: Terrific colors, clusters, and layers. Beautiful page. Treasure these Days: Beautiful blending of the background with wonderful elements and layers. Love the journaling. grammadee, ranch card: It’s so pretty. I love the rope, horses, scenery. Well done! justjac, Christmas Morning Magic. How clever to enlarge the geo tags and make them into a flower and photo frames. Those penguins are adorable. Tricky: you look fabulous as does this page. Retro enough for the photo but you’ve put them together in a way that they should stand the test of time too. Fabulous clusters and layers again. I left love on Flickr for any creations posted there. Now for Linda's pages... Love the big fire truck on that page! Also love that you matted the photo block in red. Was there a fire in his neighbourhood that there were so many on his street? Sorry, again, I can't read the journaling. I am not a sushi fan, but that salmon roll looks delicious! I love that you used a salmon coloured cs, and your little Asian quisine cluster. You have done a great job of scrapping the non scrapable pages! I love the red mat for the running shoe photo, and the dots behind the coin collecting photos. The plaid with the green on the dinner page really works well together and I like that you have photos of the food on the stove and on the plate. The Letter of Appreciation page looks very formal--as it should! How many pages have you finished this month? Must feel great to be done his album! |

Thank you grammadee - he didn't mention whether there was a fire - I assume so - he likes fire engines which is why he snapped the picture. Not sure how many I've finished - guess I should count them up at some point. I still haven't caught you on points this month...and it's not looking likely I will. edited - grammadee counted them up - 4 cards and 85 layouts (107 pages) this month. A bunch of them were 8x8 though |

Thanks grammadee - that flowery background paper is from Photoplay's Paper Crane collection - DS leaves Japan next week so I'm trying to work my way through the remaining Japan-themed scrapbook stuff and get it used. Not 100% happy with this page but the photo really didn't give me much to work with.  "Shoes" (8.5x11) = 1(layout) + 1 (sharing) + 1 (#15 2019 pics) + 1 (#60 rectangle) + 1 (#31 tiny bling) + 1 (#36 one pic) + 1 (#17 PL cards) + 1 (#33 handwriting) = 8pts I scraplifted this layout. I really wanted to stay more true to the layout, but I didn't have the right kits (supplies) to make that happen. edited - grammadee counted them up - 4 cards and 85 layouts (107 pages) this month. A bunch of them were 8x8 though Wow!!! That is a LOT of pages! I finished 50 pages and 9 cards. Half of those were done iNSD weekend, so points were doubled. |

AussieMeg - another fabulous digital layout from you - loving the layers and the flowers! treasure these days - what a great title and the greens and oranges really compliment the photo! justjac - you've been busy! love the paths on the paper echoing the pictures on Oz great layout design on statues - the photos draw the eye through the whole layout - great movement! love the flower border and cluster on Mom I miss these women - I love the border framing the photo and then the journalling - so pretty! gorgeous alpha on Cara!
