LisaDV - it really was fun - loved all the diversity! Mexico, Dominican Republic, Nicarugua, Columbia, Puerto Rico, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Slovakia, Phillippines were all represented (and I think I missed a couple more). grammadee - your page turned out fab! I love seeing how you and Justjac had the same photos but such different pages (both wonderful). That title is the best with the different fonts and the heart... Good luck with your rabbit hole. I'm trying to get motivated this morning. I wanted to get some yard work done before it hit 90s but alas didn't get moving early enough.

It's great to come here and see so many of your avatars popping up! @elaynef, your trip and reunion sounds so nice and restful. (after you found the place!) I hope you took lots of photos of the wildflowers. Your family group photo is beautiful, even if your DH was so concerned about the remote that he forgot to smile. Made me giggle. I hope to see some pages made from your photos of the get-together. LisaDV, I can hardly wait to see your cakes. You tackle some pretty big projects. Besides the cakes and t-shirts, remember that you used to send cookies too. LOL You are such a great wife and mom. I hope DD is doing better. I can't believe that it's warm enough to swim, even in cold water. We have had a very cold weekend, with a few snow flurries, but mostly rain, and rain, and more cold rain. Hang in there. You have a busy time ahead of you. kellyr21, what do you plan to do for your b-day? We had a Recovery meeting, stopped for a halibut dinner and then I was off to Card Club. All in all it was a great day. Have you posted more on your blog? joyfulnana, I am so sorry about your ticket. My husband went through a school zone (in the middle of nowhere New Mexico) when our children were young. He missed the sign and stayed at the regular speed on a long empty road. They ticket was $80 and that was back in 1976. That was a lot of money that we had planned to spend in Disneyland. Luckily we had a credit card so we could continue on. I hope you aren't stuck with a huge bill. I'm glad you enjoyed scrapping with family. Are you feeling back to normal now? grammadee, I have felt guilty not having a garden. We do have tomatoes planted, but that's all for us. I'm sure there are days that it's a real pain. My parents had 2 huge gardens right up until they passed. I don't know how they kept up with it. They supplied produce for all the neighborhood and friends. I do think it kept them young and kept them working happily together. What kind of bush did you get? I planned on getting a new lilac this year, but the one we killed seems to be coming back so we will wait and see. Your pages are great. I will leave love in the gallery. Linda, are you feeling back to normal? Your lock-ins sound like a lot of fun for the girls and a lot of work for the adults. Those activities will be remembered forever, though. I hope things go well with DD and her extractions. The new methods are so much better than years ago. Were you in charge of the multi-cultural activity? Are you going to be in charge next year? Sounds like BIG projects. I'm sending waves and best wishes to all the other Pokeys. I hope you are getting some time for yourselves. Have a great Memorial Day weekend, everyone. Is Canada's the same time as ours? I guess I should look it up!

nylene - I am feeling better thank you - although I did end up with a nap this morning also. The lock-ins are fun (I hope) for the girls. WE've been doing them for 8 years now and 6-8 times/year so they aren't quite as much work now as they were in the beginning. And no - not in charge of the multi-cultural event - thankfully as it looked to be a HUGE job. I won't be in charge next year either, just in charge of representing MY country with a display and food. Did a little work outside today - I'm the main caretaker of our 4 acres and it's been very neglected since my injury 3 years ago and subsequent surgery. I don't especially enjoy yardwork nor am I very good at it but it sorely needs tackling so...I pulled the vines off the house, DH mowed a path around the house (until we ran out of gas), and DD12 weeded a bit. Not much but it's a start. I really hate having so much land.

Hi everyone. I’ve been lurking and keeping up with your news. We’re almost home after a very long weekend. It was my work retreat, but Dean got to come along. It was in Kelowna BC which is about a 12 hour drive to the other side of the Rocky Mountains. We drove all the way there Thursday. Then we got to do our own thing until supper Friday with the group. We also did a picnic supper together Saturday. Then Sunday we went our separate ways. Dean and I decided to split the trip up and stay overnight in Banff. We stopped at a few tourist attractions along the way. I’ve been digi scrapping to keep up with LOAD.
I had a couple of questions about my plays. We are putting on 5 one act plays and I am in two of them. One called Wedding Bash and the other is called Three Tables. I’m a newly wed in one whose friends decide to tell her what they really thought of the wedding. In the other i’m trying to get my husband to sign divorce papers. It should be fun.

I can't believe that it's warm enough to swim, even in cold water. That's just it! It's NOT! It was COLD. They were blue when they got out. But DH isn't the most *don't know the right word to use* but he's a whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger kind of guy. Even if most people would be like, no you're the parent you just say no.

Happy Tuesday everyone. It has been nice the last few days. Oh, we have a new neighbor... a baby hummingbird! Right outside our window in the lower palm plants is a walnut sized nest. A neighbor pointed it out to my husband on Sunday. Ever since then I have been looking at this sweet little bird. I was concerned cause I didn't see mama but then I saw her after she feed it. So, the little guy just sits in the nest watching the day go by. So cute! I did post some pictures on my blog with Mother's Day cards and how I painted the flowers. ksimonedesigns.blogspot.com/2019/05/mothers-day-cards-2019.html?m=1Be back later.

justjac, sounds like a great weekend gettaway. Your plays sound like they could be quite funny, wish I could come see them. kellyr21, how fantastic. I love hummingbirds! Don got me a feeder that attaches to the window for Mother's Day. To be standing there cooking and look up and see one only 3' from me is amazing. We all get giddy when we see them. But I would love to be able to see the baby in the nest. I've seen the nest from below, but obviously didn't want to get to close to it. I love the cards that use your art!! Those are fantastic.

Sounds like it was a wonderful long weekend, justjac . Great job posting the digi pages to keep up with LOAD while you were gone. Loved the one with the pic of you and Dean with the mountains in the background. Happy belated birthday, shinyhappytina . Hope you had a wonderful day full of fun, food, and surprises. Thanks, LisaDV for keeping up with the birthday threads on the NSBR board. And for reminding us when a Pokey has her own special day. I left some love on your blog, kellyr21 . Hope you can get some pic's of the hummingbird in its tiny nest. We have them come by the feeders, but have never seen their nests. We have some barn swallows excitedly selecting spots for their nests as soon as there is mud to build them, but we would really prefer that they NOT build again on the front of our house under the balcony roof. I have ordered an electronic device that supposedly discourages them but it has yet to arrive. Dh has said he will install a shelf for them on the end of the house under the eves, so hopefully they will take their mud and construct over there. To answer your question, nylene, the new shrub is a lilac. We have a larger one out back of the house but this one has been put in the front beside the patio and right outside my scraproom window, so when I blooms I hope I can breathe in the fragrance in here. I am still cleaning and organizing my scraproom. Got the biggest job done yesterday with the pp and cs, but now I am sifting through little things: takes just as much time, but the results are not as dramatic. B-O-R-I-N-G...

Oh, These are one of my favorite flowers. That and calla lilies. We plant lilacs where ever we move. The farm is having a harder time getting them to take. I have one that is hanging on, but it doesn't seem to be growing. I usually like to leave the first year of a new house to see what comes up during the different seasons, but then they don't have lilacs here so it'll be going in first thing next year. -- Don't forget to share a photo of your room. Yesterday was a putz day after a long night, both kids had some issues which led to mom not getting her needed sleep. The older I get the less I function without it. I guess I should have had kids when I was younger instead of older. Last night the storm and new house creaks woke and kept me up for hours. But today is errand day and I have to get that finished and get dinner made regardless. Part of the errands is food for dinner. DH & DS brought back a large bowl full of morels from the farm. I'll be making morel soup and a spanish chicken with herbed rice. The herbed rice is pesto based which of course, I don't have any left from last year in the freezer (if I do it's at the farm). We've never found so many morels as this year. Even back at the farm. These were under the apple tree by the house which we've only ever found a small number of them there. I told DH I think it's because it's one of the first places he mows and he hasn't mowed at the farm this year. The normal spots, DH said had none. We either missed them or they aren't up yet since it's been colder there. It is nice to have so many so that we can try different recipes. Hope everyone is having a good week!

I saw your update, maribeth. Too bad that life took over to disrupt your crafting plans. Please feel free to jump into our next Team Challenge. They work a lot like Calvinball, just that you have only the first 3 days of the month to post your challenges. Then you can keep track of points for yourself and they count toward your team. Would love to have you in June! I hope you can somehow get enough rest, LisaDV. It is no fun slogging through days while exhausted. Your meal plan sounds delicious. How great that the guys brought back the mushrooms for you. Not surprising that they sprang up in a place that had not been mowed this year. I posted pic's of my scraproom to the sharing spaces thread. Here is a shot of the room from the door. from the door by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Still lots of clutter, but much tidier than it usually is. I like having everything out where I can see it, and I have a lot of everything ! I need to do some other decluttering in the house today and run some errands in town. Need to go to the bank to straighten out a credit card glitch. I accepted a new Visa card as part of a promotion, but the bank failed to move my balance from the old card onto the new one, and although I made a hefty payment at the beginning of May, none of that was applied to the old card which is now in arrears. While I am there I will order US$ for my trip to Orlando in June.

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are all having a good one so far. I have lots to do today and I hope I can get most or all of it done. My crocheting in coming along. I finally got the "granny square" down. It was hard to learn the pattern but now I got it. So after practicing on some old yarn the church group gave me, I bought some new yarn yesterday at M's in pinks. I am not sure what I will make but it will be something. LOL! I got to the group tomorrow. Maybe they can help me decide. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Those Mother's Day cards were fun to make. Now that I see the painted flowers turned our great, I may do this more especially when I have a hard time finding matching flowers. Yes, my birthday is on the 29th and I am not sure what I want to do. There are two different hotels I been wanting to go to. One have a high tea and the other has fancy dining. But I may decide to go locally and call it a day. LOL! nylene, your birthday sounded fun and relaxing. So glad you were able to get out and enjoy. LisaDV linda- The festivals you went to sounded fun. We have an international food/music faire here too. We went a couple of years ago but it was so crowded we didn't enjoy. Maybe next time we will go earlier before the big crowds show up. What was your favorite food or culture you saw? grammadee- Your craftroom is so cool. I would love to craft with you there. LisaDV- What pretty layouts of you and your dh. Looking cute my firned! Did you get all your new appliances delivered? I sounds like you are almost done with all the updates at home. Have you all settling in there and feel more comfortable, especially your dd? So happy for you all and looking for to moving too. We don't have any timeline yet but we hope to work towards it soon. I need more space to craft!!! Waving hello to you all and take care ladies!

Oh, the hummingbird is still doing fine and taking care of itself. The momma is close by, I guess she is feeding it enough. I told my dh these birds have caring for themselves for hundreds or thousands of years. They know what they are doing. I don't need to be worried... but I am looking out for the little birdy. LOL! My dh shakes his head and smiles.

kellyr21, I went to your blog and have to tell you that I love your painted flowers and I want to try that too. So gorgeous with the touches of gold. I love that you have used your art for the cover of some of your cards. I think I can see your name or initials when I enlarge them. I hope so, because you deserve the credit for the art work! Your hummingbird nest sounds so sweet. I will get my feeder out once my flowers start to bloom. I hope you come up with some great plans for your b-day. LisaDV, I wouldn't even know which were morels and which were toadstools and would probably poison us. I do love mushrooms! With all the rain and snow flurries, we have a few in our lawn! grammadee, your trip to Florida sounds like fun. Will you do the Disney things, or something different. I don't remember if you went to Cape Canaveral or the Space Center. We took our girls with us to Orlando for a Conference in the late 90's and drove out for a tour. Then the night before we left we watched Atlantis launch. We will never forget that experience! We never got to a beach, but spashed in the hotel pool and spent lots of time at Disney and Sea World. I hope you have a great time with your family. Your scrap room looks like such a fun place to work. I love seeing lots of choices for making pages. shinyhappytina, Belated Birthday greetings. I didn't remember that you were a May b-day too. maribeth, I saw your last post too, and thought I'd copy it and post it here, but I'm glad you found us and posted here. I'm sorry that life has been in the way of your scrafting. Whenever we get a nice clear day here, I think of you and hope you are RVing on the weekends. We have had so much rain and snowy flurries that much of Zion Nat'l Park is closed right now. Other Parks are also having mudslide that are too dangerous for tourists. This weekend is usually the biggest all year in our Parks, but they are really limiting tourists because of the unstable hillsides and trails. justjac, I wish we could charter a bus to pick us all up and take us to your plays! I would love to see them. Aren't you also directing one? You are a busy gal! Linda, I hope you are back to feeling great. Your big yard would be the death of me. I'm glad my DH won't let me mow the lawn! He's a professional grass-grower (golf course superintendent) so he is pretty particular about how the lawn looks. Works for me. I look forward to having our flower planters bloom. I have lots to do today so better run. Have a great day and a wonderful long weekend for the US peas. Sending waves and hugs to all the Pokeys.

Finally finished DD12's Junior Girl Scout Album - she's been a Cadette for almost a year. I set the album aside because when her troop dissolved last summer, I was very hurt and upset by what was said to and about me by the parents AND by the way DD12 was excluded by the parents/other girls (I had been the troop leader). I just wasn't in a good frame of mind to scrap the photos. But it's done and in the albums (2 8x8 albums) and scanned and going on the shelf. nylene - Thanks - the big yard is the death of me - I do not care for gardening and it's so terribly hot and humid here - we're in the mid90s with 100+ predicted over the weekend. Your DH would hate my grass...it's basically weeds I mow (and not nearly as often as I should). kellyr21 - aww...how lovely to have a baby hummingbird! Great job on the granny square! Good luck deciding on birthday plans! grammadee - you have such a lovely scrapbook space, jam-packed with goodies! LisaDV - I love lilacs also - we don't have any though. And I hesitate to buy one...my track record for keeping plants alive is dismal. Hi to everyone I missed

Happy Friday! And happy long weekend to those who have one!
Having a lazy day today. My gallbladder is not happy that I made--and ate--chocolate chip cookies yesterday. Pain is not debilitating, but it is there. I have been drinking lots of water and have taken some pain meds, so hoping it will let up. If it hurt EVERY time I ate something fatty I would have learned by now. But it stays all comfy and fine for days, weeks, even months, and then attacks in a rage. What gives? My appointment with the surgeon is next Monday, June 3rd.

maribeth , sorry about the scraftiness plan upset. You would probably love the monthly challenges here, as grammadee mentioned. grammadee , Oh no! I'm so sorry. I hope the pain subsides very quickly and doesn't ruin your whole day. Your space is fantastic. I love the custom cabinets. I have a lot of everything too, and I like it where I can see it. If it’s not, then I tend to forget about it. Hope you got your cc glitch straightened out. kellyr21 , unfortunately with a home, you are never really done and there is always something! We’ll be attacking the kitchen stove area in a few years. After tshirts are finished and baking for their trip, then I’ll start attacking the wallpaper again. But we have a trip in June and July to the farm for appointments. I don’t think I’d be too worried about the bird but I would be watching it just because – (squeal) baby hummingbird! Yesterday we saw a bald eagle flying around. We aren’t too far from the river so it makes sense to have them around. I’m sure whatever you decide to do for your birthday will be lovely. Sometimes it’s great just to relax with movie and popcorn at home. nylene , you do have to be careful as there is a mushroom that is similar to morels that are poisonous. However, the morel is the easiest mushroom to identify. We have wanted to get an expert forager out to the farm to show us other edible plants and how to identify them, but we haven’t made it that far. I’m pretty sure I have fiddleheads, but they have a similar plant that you don’t want to eat as well. So until I’m positive, I have to buy them at the store in season. How’s DH? When is the follow up appointments again? Linda , I’m glad you are finished with that chapter of dd's story, but how sad that the parents hurt you and excluded dd. The farm is weeds to. They call it quack grass. It’s what grows in sandy soil. It takes over and chokes out everything. Our lawn would always be in poor shape if I had to be the caregiver 100% of the time. I care more about the appearance inside the house, and quite honestly, the older the I get the less I care about that. When I was younger, I was always like, how can older people let their houses get dirty/dusty. They’re retired. Now I get it, they just don’t care. You do what you can and stop. I have had one of those, get started on something - distracted by something else mornings. I unloaded and started reloading only to close it and do the recycles instead. Then DH hurt his shoulder yesterday moving the patio set out, so I had to go upstairs for arnica, which, of course, meant I needed to take up a load of laundry which led to it being put away. Why take an empty basket back downstairs, go gather dirty from all the rooms, sort, just putting in the 2 loads I plan to do today. Come downstairs with basket and arnica, DH started cleaning the fish tank. Obviously I had taken way too long. Fish tank parts need to be cleaned, which means I had to run finish the dishes up so he could use the sink. I will really start tshirts today. I've done some cutting already, but needed some more vinyl and I ordered the 12x24 mats for the cameo as my vinyl was pulling wonky without a mat, which it wasn't doing at first. The mats and extra vinyl came yesterday. Plus I finished buying all the t's needed yesterday. I hope to be finished by Sunday. Wish me luck! --I'm just waiting for the kids to wake as the noise in this house carries! DH thinks it'll be better when we have furniture. ?? Ok, off to get a few more things cleaned up before I start tshirts.

Happy Friday and happy happy long weekend! I have missed a lot this month, lots to catch up on! Working my way up from the end lol. LisaDV I have a lot of days like that too, start one thing only to see another and another and then if I'm lucky, finally finish the first thing lol. I think your DH is right about the furniture, it will help absorb some of the noise, a little maybe. And for real there is no way you would be getting me in a pool when it's not 100 degrees! Our pool won't be opening this weekend, rain, rain and more rain for us. I'm listening to the weather right now as we are having a huge thunderstorm. I think I missed it, but how many T-shirts are you going to be doing? grammadee I hope your gallbladder settles down! Will they definitely be scheduling surgery after the consult? I have not read Tad Williams. I'm not really a fantasy fan. I only watched GOT because it looked more like a medieval type show and I do like those, but it wasn't so magical that it put me off. I'm ok with the finale, it felt more satisfying than most of the previous episodes, and seemed to stay truer to the character's development through the years. I hope GRRM will go ahead and finish the books now. I love your scrap space! I want to get over to that thread. I love seeing everyone' spaces. I moved mine from sharing it with my office to my walk in closet in the master. I was spending waaaaay too many hours in that office. I needed a work/life separation. It's cramped an I'm working on a folding table but I'm making it work. linda I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. That sucks about the GS though! I don't blame you for having to set that aside for awhile. All the yard work and maintenance are exactly why I love apartment living. I don't care much for having neighbors on top of me but it's a fair trade off to not worry about any of that. kellyr21 how awesome you have a hummingbird family! I have put out feeders before and no luck. I do have wasps though lol. @elaynef I didn't know you had a tornado! They are awful this season. And seem to be everywhere. I'm going to scrap this weekend, and make cookies with Rudy. I got some Avengers cookie cutters and he wants to make "100 cookies! Avengers, and Christmas trees, and Easter ones!" he cracks me up. I'm sure it will FEEL like we made 100 by the time we are done. I hate it that I couldn't ever check in during the iNSD crop here, I know it was a lot of fun. I have a couple layouts that I need to post, but hoping to get at least a couple more done this weekend. I did get a lawyer for the ticket. And haven't heard a word since I hired him, so I will have to reach out and see if there is anything I need to do before my court date. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Greetings to all the pokeys! I've enjoyed catching up with you all and praying for the sick and ones with troubes.
Thanks for all the concerns about the tornado! It was not on my side of town and no one was hurt, but there was some property and homes destroyed. That was a fun hour in the bathroom with the grands....they had even more warnings when they got home to Lubbock! They have a nice long hall that is on the interior, so they had a little more space than we do to hang out....enough room for sleeping bags for everyone.
.
There are a lot of trees down everywhere, from the wind and I'm wondering how long it's going to take to get them removed. They said to make them 4 ft. and bundle them up and put them out and they will get them as they can, so we did that.
They had a clean up day and volunteers helped clean up the neighborhood that suffered the most damgage. They got a lot done in just one day and announced there was no further need for volunteers. it sounds like the people are getting some assistance from the city to have shelter and help to find a place to live.
Ordered over 200 prints last night of our trip and very happy with them. Most are taken by dh. We flew and I have trouble packing for air travel so I didn't try to take my camera this time. Las time we flew, I struggled carrying it through the airport. (We always have to change planes at DFW.) I am making a new rule for us when we fly from now on...no carryon. I'm getting a new larger suitcase and checking it and being done with it. All the rules are confusing and we can never figure out where anything is after we land! I read that you should never pack at the last minute for a plane flight...allow at least an hour....It takes me 3 days!
My phone did a little better than I expected, though so I printed some of them as well. I ordered some 5x7's and I'm thinking about doing a 8x8 book of the Shenandoah part of our trip. It's our 2nd visit so I already have 1 12x12 for it. Has anyone done an 8x8 for a trip? Any advice? We are also considering picking out one to have enlarged and hang in our den. We would have to take one down, but I think I know which one we are tired of so might be an easy decision. Pics that we have taken are almost the only thing we have on our walls.
Here is 1 of my phone pics of the beautiful dirt road to our cottage... a pink tree, a broken down bridge and a creek with big rocks....such a beautiful area!
And grandson,13, at Williamsburg and his friend (also 13 but has not had his growth spurt yet) who came with....grandson has T1 diabetes and his friend is so sweet, carries candy with him for dgs and knows what to do if he has a low.

Quick share of the tshirts I’m making. 12 down. They are not perfect which really annoys me, but it’s only my 2nd attempt ever at Tshirt making, so I hope they cut me some slack.

Great photos, @elaynef. Love the lush greenery with the rocks and water: you have a good eye for photo taking! And so great that your grandson has such a good friend and that he could come along on the family vacation. That's amazing, LisaDV ! I have never done vinyl, but that looks like a LOT of piecing of the different colours! Can you do it in layers, or do you have to fit in every piece before you press?

That's amazing, LisaDV ! I have never done vinyl, but that looks like a LOT of piecing of the different colours! Can you do it in layers, or do you have to fit in every piece before you press? You have to do it in layers. But they are all finished unless I decide to do a couple of extras tomorrow.

And for real there is no way you would be getting me in a pool when it's not 100 degrees! I know. I'm from southern Illinois. It was way hotter than northern Illinois. The pool is at 70F right now which is the temperature they keep competitive swim pools. I was like nope, no way is that warm enough. DD & DS were like, well, we've embraced the true spirit of being a Michigandeer and you are still a southern girl. lol. If it means waiting until the pool is warm, yep. I'm a southern girl. Honestly, I think I need a hot tub instead of a swimming pool. DH had said around 30. I think I did 27 in total. I have some extra tshirts, so I might do them tomorrow so there is extras if people show up that couldn't make it originally. I'm sorry that the lawyer hasn't been more communicative. Unfortunately, I hear that a lot these days. I hope all goes well. When is the court date? Also I think it was a good idea to separate your work from your relaxation areas! They have a nice long hall that is on the interior, so they had a little more space than we do to hang out....enough room for sleeping bags for everyone. I remember doing that as a kid. We'd just put blankets down or pillows. Hadn't thought of that in years! It's so nice the town pulled together to help out. I love the photo of your path to your cabin/house rental. I'm sure it was picturesque. It so nice that your dgs has a friend like that. grammadee, I should have also said, I've only made a shirt like this once for DD. I used 2 colors and I could nestle both colors so that I could iron once. This was my first attempt at 4 colors and such an intricate design (well, for me). I did do it in 2 layers by fitting the pieces together. --- I got dinner made by DH 2 nights in a row. He had to turn in early because he's beat. Whatever. He actually did a lot yesterday, and I think he may have over done it. I didn't let that stop me from having him make dinner tonight though. You're almost 50, you should know how to pace yourself. And in all honesty, I just didn't want to do it myself. Tomorrow I will be making chicken liver pate though. I was racking my brain to try to think of a meal that would go to serve it as an appetizer. Tonight I decided I would just do a variety of foods/appetizers. I'll have shrimp cocktail with homemade cocktail sauce. I'm thinking zucchini rounds with a homemade raspberry vinaigrette or a zucchini, radish, raspberry salad. ?. I have some grapes and pineapple. I'll probably serve some other fresh vegetables with my homemade ranch dressing. You know, before the ranch dressing goes bad and the kids think it's a treat trick. Maybe I'll throw in some deviled eggs, my homemade mayonnaise won't keep much longer. That means a trip to the egg lady on Tuesday though. I also want to make that dragon cake tomorrow or Monday. I'm hoping to take it easy tomorrow, but also hope to get DH to help me find and put in the rest of the house screens, unless it really rains like the forecast says. With all these windows I bet it would cool the place off if we could open more of them and air it out. I'm off to hang out in DD's room for a bit. DH & DS are watching shows in our bedroom. DD likes a little bit of just sit together time. She doesn't want to talk or anything Here is a layout I finished the other day when flickr was down. It's the companion page to Mother's Day. dMothersDay2019_2 by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr

Hey all. I managed to baby my gallbladder back to good behavior, I think. Nothing but clear fluids yesterday and very light meals today. Lots of water. I took a Tylenol 3 last night and slept like a rock. Woke up and the pain was gone, so here is hoping... My consult is to discuss surgery. Hoping we can book it at a convenient time for everyone. Had to drive to town today for lawnmower parts. Dh had asked me to work with him to put up support panels for the peas, but since he sent me to town, he finished that job on his own. I ended up having a nap this afternoon. joyfulnana , will you be watching the GOT follow up Sunday evening? I think they are planning to show the making of the series. It is PVR'd and I am actually looking forward to seeing it: one more fix of Westeros! Tad Williams has written several fantasy series, and a couple of them have settings like GOT. But he has quite a few different types of story lines. One series tells the story of a fallen angel who visits earth, Heaven and Hell. The first series of his I read was about virtual reality way before that was a "thing". I am reading the second book in his latest trilogy. This trilogy is actually a followup to one he wrote in the '90's. BTW the sign up thread has been posted for the June teams. Hope you can play along.

grammadee, I am glad you could baby your gallbladder back into submission! Mine got so bad just as our DD was getting married. I limped through the wedding, not daring to even taste the wedding cake and had it removed while they were honeymooning. It took a while to be able to eat certain foods, but it is fine now. Best wishes as you visit with the surgeon. LisaDV, I love your t-shirts. You are very creative and have so many colors on them. Wow, I am so impressed and I'm sure your DH's friends will be also. @elaynef, I am glad to know that you all survived the tornado. I thought of you instantly as I heard. I would have a hard time living in a tornado zone. I get very anxious when it starts blowing hard here. I love your photos and look forward to seeing some of the 200 scrapped. What a great friend to look out for your DGS. We all need a friend like that. That bridge area and the pink tree look so pretty. I'm sure you had a great, peaceful time. joyfulnana, how was the "100 cookies" adventure? What a fun thing to do with a DGS. I hope your attorney can get some reduction in your ticket. I had to laugh at your comment about not getting into water until it's 100 degrees. You are a girl after my own heart. I'm with LisaDV too, I'd actually prefer a hot tub! We ran a bunch of errands today and went to dinner together. Our washer died yesterday and we can't get a repairman out until next Monday. We thought we needed to price a new one, since we think it is close to 20 years old and may not be fixable. Lots of washers on sale right now for Memorial Day, but we will wait to see what the repairman says. One salesman today told us you can only expect to have a washer for 9-10 years. We laughed! In the meantime, Emily has offered her washer and she even delivered all the clothes washed and folded on Saturday. Who needs a washer when you have an Emily!

Seriously that's so sweet! Being without a washer stinks. I'd normally wish you a quick fix, but with Emily doing the wash, I'm not sure I should.
